I’ve just picked up a 5ml sample. I’ve been following Peter on YouTube for a while and wanted to try his creations. This Próxima smells of sweet, ripe berries wrapped in something ethereal thanks to the aldehydes and ozonic notes. A little rose and iris can be detected in the base. It’s unisex, but I think it leans more feminine. I see it as perfect for spring/summer mornings or informal occasions. It lasts about 6-7 hours, and the quality of the materials is noticeable right from the start. The bottles and stoppers from the Centauri Perfumes collection are formidable and original. I liked it, but it’s not something that clings to you or makes you reluctant to stop smelling it. It sounds more like functional perfumery, akin to body wash or body cream.
I tried this fragrance today and absolutely loved it. The only ‘catch’ is that I already own Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi, and they smell so similar that I don’t see the need to own both; if I didn’t have Kirke, I’d definitely take this one. It’s very fruity, sweet, and has a synthetic touch, but the aldehydes give it air, freshness, and that soapy effect that balances it out. There’s a floral base where the iris stands out with a powdery touch, and a wood note that’s almost chamomile-like. The musk becomes strong as it dries down, which gives it excellent longevity. The projection is good and noticeable from a distance. I see it as unisex, though I think it suits women more. Ideal for daytime, summer, spring, or the office.
