Curious fragrance: an African fruity floral with an acidic and creamy touch, nothing sweet or gourmand. I find it original for exploring an under-served niche that the notes don’t immediately reveal. I never would have imagined it from the description; I thought there were more flowers, but that’s not the case. Easy to enjoy without being cloying, though some might see it as more feminine. Typical performance for the house.

I’m surprised it has 2.50 stars, what an injustice! It smells incredible. If you like red berries, you’ll be won over. It opens like a cherry, strawberry, and raspberry jam, very fleshy and juicy. The projection is beastly at the start. Then the sweetness drops a bit and an acidic note rises, perhaps due to the rhubarb, but it’s not unpleasant. After a few hours, it seems to fade; I’m not sure if it’s olfactory fatigue or because I only tested a small sample. Suddenly, the ambergris kicks in and the intensity returns like magic. The perfume changes to something more amber, salty, and animalic; the red berries move to the background. It’s 11am and it’s still perceptible on my skin, noticeable from my wrist. The best thing is that it becomes a chameleon again: the red berries reappear as the main characters, now with more animalic nuances, as if that jam had a wild touch. It’s an Eau de Parfum but lasts longer than many extracts. Some won’t like it for being simple (though dynamic and with astonishing performance) and not offering anything new, but if you want to smell good for a long time, it’s yours. You just have to like red berries, otherwise it will be hard. It’s 100% versatile, perfect for any season and situation; although it projects a lot, being fruity and acidic means it doesn’t overwhelm. Scent: 10, Longevity: 10, Sillage: 8, Versatility: 10, Originality: 7, Overall: 19.

  3. I’m shocked it has 2.5 stars, but it smells incredible! If you love red berries, you’ll fall in love with this delight. It opens like a homemade cherry, strawberry, and raspberry jam, fleshy and juicy, with a beastly projection at first. Then the sweetness fades and an acidic note rises, perhaps from the rhubarb, but it’s not unpleasant. After a couple of hours, it seems to fade, or perhaps it’s just olfactory fatigue from the small sample, but that’s exactly where the ambergris enters and magic happens! The intensity returns and the perfume shifts to something saltier and more animalic, with the berries in the background. At 11am, it’s still perceptible on my skin, noticeable from my wrist. The best part is that it becomes a chameleon again: the red berries reappear as the protagonists, now with that jammy quality but with animalic nuances. It’s an Eau de Parfum but lasts longer than many extracts. Some may not like it for being simple, but it’s dynamic and has astonishing performance. If you want to smell good for a long time, this is your option, provided you like red berries. It’s 100% versatile, perfect for any season and situation, without overwhelming thanks to its fruity and acidic character. Scent: 10, Longevity: 10, Sillage: 8, Versatility: 10, Originality: 7, Overall: 19.
