I’m dying to have this in my collection; they don’t sell it here. I wore it years ago and fell in love, but I was young and only working to fund my studies. When I finally wanted to buy it, it was gone, and I’ve searched every shop in the area without finding anything that even resembles it. I adore that powdery rose, exactly as Ghost handles it.
Selling my 5ml EDT mini today so someone can find a new owner. I’ve had it for three years and it’s still pristine. I love the little bottle, but the scent isn’t for me: it feels heavy and aggressive despite its innocent appearance. It has challenging notes like musk, sugar, and powdery rose. It opens with crystallised jasmine and heavy roses, then softens into a sweet, powdery mess that eventually fades into that powdery scent. I wouldn’t recommend it without trying it first. Moderate sillage and lasts about four hours with few reapplications.
It’s an Anglo-Saxon fragrance, very British. Delicate and hard to understand, it works the rose in an almost spiritual way. The sandalwood blends well with the musk in the base, even though they are opposites. It fulfils its function of bringing serenity. It’s interesting and worth it for a spring or summer evening, provided it’s not too hot and you’re not looking for something cheerful.
I bought it blindly based on the good reviews. It smells of powdery, sweet, and caramelised roses, but in a serious way, not gourmand. It would be perfect for a funeral or mass; it has a lugubrious touch, like something from beyond the grave. Over time, it becomes more indulgent and less eerie. Pleasant and harmless aroma, but it doesn’t stand out. Important: I haven’t received a single compliment wearing it.
