Gold by Tous is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2002, this composition was created by perfumer Stephanie de Saint-Aignan. Tous Gold strikes me as the perfect fit; it’s exactly the style I’ve always gone for. Highly recommended.
Absolutely gorgeous scent, pure floral. It feels as though all the flowers are dancing on my skin with a sweet touch; I simply love it.
Spectacular; a very elegant fragrance. For me, elegant means flowers mixed with white musk. Very good longevity; I’d say long-lasting. Also, it smells a little creamy on me, just enough. I use it in the evenings or at night, not in the mornings or in summer. To be honest, I loved it; with my skin, it has excellent chemistry. Thank you, Tous; I believe with the Gold Touch, these are the best fragrances from this great house.
Spectacular and elegant: a blend of flowers with white musk. Medium-to-long lasting, with a creamy scent that’s just right. I wear it in the evenings rather than summer. It creates incredible chemistry with my skin. Thanks, Tous; I believe Tous Gold Touch are the best in the house.
Rich; white musk for me… sweet and fresh… totally recommended for the afternoon, when the day is ending.
Long-lasting, although it smells of green leaves; it’s for people over 30. Suitable for going to the office. It’s elegant, but it didn’t convince me for my own skin.
Tender and golden presentation with the bear on top. From the very first moment, woody notes sit beneath the florals: light gardenia and rose, all harmonised with musk for a creamy, delicate and sensual scent. It has classic touches of cleanliness, an evergreen floral, fresh, clean and elegant; at first it smells slightly soapy, perhaps due to the iris. Soft and feminine trail but with good longevity, around six hours, and if you wear it on clothes it lasts days. Best in temperate climates.
A tender and golden presentation that captivates with its characteristic bear on top. From the very first moment, the woody base notes of the florals are noticeable, highlighting the combination of gardenia and rose. It’s a floral that harmonises with woody tones and musk, creating a creamy, delicate, and sensual aroma. It has classic traits of neatness and an atemporal floral; fresh, clean, and elegant. In the first hour, it smells a bit soapy, a quality I suspect comes from the iris. Soft and feminine sillage, but with good fixative properties; about six hours in total, with the last notes close to the skin, and if applied to clothes, it lasts for days. I find it more suitable for temperate climates.
I wore the Gold by Tous for nearly a year and, unfortunately, didn’t keep a good memory of it. At first, I fell in love; it was instant, and I think I rushed into buying it because over time it started to become overwhelming and tiring. I believe it’s a perfume you should test on your skin several times and be sure before purchasing, to properly judge if you like its evolution and are willing to use the 90ml without reluctance. The freshness and joy of those flowers (‘Here I am!’) at the beginning were irresistible, but in the end, it resulted in too much pollen for me. I tried the Tous Plata (similar bottle, different colour), and although the iris and white musk soften it, I think it’s the same concept, so it didn’t convince me. That said, if you like it, you’re lucky, because it is a powerhouse in terms of longevity and sillage.
It is a floral with a sweet touch; at first orange blossom, gardenia and peony, the rest of the flowers are barely noticeable, a cheerful bouquet. Perhaps the sweetness comes from a citrus, even it seemed to me to smell of mango at the start, which I like. For me, the gardenia is the star. Long-lasting and suitable for all ages, during the day in both informal and formal settings. Enduring yet not intrusive, I can imagine it with jeans, shirts, dresses or suits, in spring or autumn. Lasts quite well on clothes, do not overapply in summer.
A floral with a sweet touch; at first, you notice the orange blossom, gardenia, and peony, while the rest of the flowers are less perceptible, creating a cheerful bouquet. I’m not sure if the sweetness comes from a citrus note; in fact, it even seemed like mango at the start. I quite like it; personally, I believe the gardenia is the star. It’s durable and suitable for all ages, perfect for daywear in informal or formal settings. It’s long-lasting but not intrusive; I imagine it with jeans, shirts, dresses, or suits, in spring or autumn. It lasts quite a while on clothes, so don’t overapply it in summer.
Delicate and feminine floral but with character, it doesn’t go unnoticed. It is classic yet versatile, far from outdated, suitable for any occasion. I cannot help but praise the little bottle, the golden bear and the elegance. Very good purchase, I am satisfied.
A very delicate and feminine floral, yet with character; it doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s classic but versatile, far from outdated, and suitable for any occasion. I cannot praise the bottle enough; it is beautiful, with a lovely golden bear and an elegant design. A very good purchase; I am very satisfied.
An elegant fragrance; the jasmine is quite noticeable without being overpowering or too sweet. I recommend it for girls over 25; it has good longevity.
I bought this blind, and out of 15 perfumes I’ve tried, this is the only one I didn’t like. Just to clarify, I’m not an expert on notes; I only know if I like it or not. It doesn’t seem like a tender floral to me, but rather a green and very strong scent, without a hint of sweetness. It sounds like a perfume for women over 30; I imagined something more fun and wearable, but this feels like it’s for an executive in a business meeting. I use perfumes even at home to enjoy them, but this didn’t appeal to me at all; this time was a miss.
Fresh and floral, with a balanced sweetness and a smoky hint, perhaps from the roses. To be honest, I don’t see much difference from the silver version; they smell the same to me, although I prefer the silver one as it feels fresher. It bears a very strong resemblance to Michael Kors’ Exotic Blossom; they aren’t identical but are very similar, with Exotic Blossom being sweeter due to its mango note.
I would like to add, after reading other reviews, that it is not sweet and has no hint of sweetness. Nor does it seem tender or youthful, but that is more personal…
I like to review fragrances once I have finished them. I am not an expert; I only speak from my experience to help those who buy blind. It is not fresh or soft. It is extremely floral, strong, and that’s it. I regretted buying it, although I enjoyed it after a night bath. It accompanies those moments regardless of the season, although it works better in summer. For those who hesitate and want a floral with these notes, I would lean towards the silver one; it is more youthful. I would describe it as entering a flower shop. Good fixative qualities and projection… but only for lovers of intense flowers, not subtle ones.
An elegant and very floral fragrance, like sharp, strong flowers over a talc-like base. It is for a mature woman, nothing childish. I bought it blind and like it in its dry-down, but when the flowers come out, they are very potent; they even give me a tickle in the nose and throat, fortunately it passes in a couple of minutes. I do not recommend buying it blind or gifting it unless you know they like it. It lasts a very long time with great fixative qualities.
Tous Gold, I met it in 2002 and have used it since. For lovers of florals, it is an excellent choice. I perceive delicate floral notes, but the star is the gardenia. It dries down to a floral scent with fine woods; that is what I like most. Great longevity, projection, and trail. On my skin, it has incredible fixative qualities; I apply it in the morning and can still smell it by night. It is versatile, suitable for all year round and any occasion, although I wouldn’t wear it on a first date or job interview because it is overwhelming. I have many perfumes, but this one cannot be missing; I even have a refill. After twenty years, I enjoy it just as much as when it captivated me as a teenager.
I picked it up as a swap with a friend and have no regrets; it’s truly unique. Very floral but in just the right measure, with fantastic longevity. It’s mature yet not for older people; it knows what it wants and exudes confidence and elegance. I wear it for special occasions; 100% recommended.
I got it by swapping with a friend and, honestly, I have no regrets. It is a singular perfume, very floral but in just the right measure. Its longevity and fixative qualities are fantastic. It is mature, but not for older people; it knows what it wants, representing security and elegance. I wear it on important or formal occasions. 100% recommended.
Very pretty, but on my skin it doesn’t last more than 4 hours 🙁 It projects at first, then it is only perceptible up close. That said, it smells very natural, nothing synthetic.
I bought the set without knowing the scent, but for the price, it seemed accessible. I loved it; it smells fresh and floral. The only disappointing aspect is the performance: on my skin, I felt it for a maximum of 2 hours 😔. I would have wanted more projection, but I have no regrets about buying it blind ❤️.
I have it, but it smells very stately; its trail and longevity are rather poor; in relation to the price it is moderate.
I own it, but it smells very stately. Its trail and longevity are scarce; in relation to the price, it is moderate.
A delicate, floral, and fresh scent. Perfect for everyday wear. On my skin, it doesn’t project much, only noticeable when greeting someone, and lasts about 2 to 3 hours. It has a very good price. If you like white florals and are looking for something delicate, go for this one.
No one has voted on its similarity to Hugo Boss Orange (rated 80%), but I prefer this one. It’s a citrus floral, like jasmine with an orange base and very subtle woods. I wouldn’t wear it in extreme heat; it can be overwhelming. It’s ideal for evenings, nights, or fresh mornings. The longevity is good, nothing extraordinary, but it is beautiful.
I’ve just stepped into the world of perfumery and I lean totally towards clean, polished, feminine white florals. I’ve just bought it and it’s for me. I tried it in the shop and left on the bus; at times I thought the whole bus smelled like me; I was amazed by its trail. You can tell the gardenia, so natural it seems like you’re smelling the flower itself, with a citrus touch that lifts the delicacy (I think it’s orange blossom) which results in an intoxicating effect. Simply beautiful. Something from a distance reminds me of Halloween, I suppose the iris, and the white musk to cleanliness is sublime. It’s going into my favourites. Don’t buy it blindly; you must really like classic florals because it isn’t innovative, but nowadays, in an attempt to innovate, they create horrid fragrances that smell like burnt caramel. If you’re looking for gourmand or dry aldehydes, it’s not. It’s a femininely captivating scent. The longevity is extraordinary; I showered when I got home and it was still on my skin. I’m going to sleep with this treasure. Edit: does anyone smell the lilac note? It’s so relaxing; I love it more with every use.
Disappointed with the performance. The scent is exquisite, I won’t deny that, but I bought a 2023 batch and unfortunately it lasts less on my skin than a splash of BBW which costs half the price and has better longevity.
On my skin, the soapy or clean scent stands out, perhaps a little vintage. What I notice is that it used to last longer on me before; now the Saphir lasts longer than the original.
I let myself be swayed by Irasema’s recommendation on YouTube, but she herself said to try before buying. I took a chance and it was a mistake: it is extremely floral and citrusy, very aggressive for my nose. It happens to me with Clinique Happy too, although I think they don’t share notes; they feel complicated and shrill to me. They aren’t for me; they cause me aversion.
At first, it smells unbalanced and shrill, seeming old; I don’t see it as youthful or close up. Don’t buy it blindly.
To me, it’s delicious, very floral and sweet, with a vintage touch from the flowers. I’ve bought it several times and will buy it again because I’ve received many compliments. Don’t buy it blindly if you don’t like florals.
I love it; it’s very delicate and tender, with jasmine enveloping me. I feel relaxed and very feminine, I want to smell it all the time, even though it feels a little milky. I recommend it for spring and autumn, my favourite seasons.
It’s a good perfume. I was given it as a gift and it’s a great option. What you notice most are the white flowers. It’s fresh yet warm. I recommend it for going out at night in summer. The longevity is good, lasting at least four hours.
It seems too sweet to me, I cannot handle it. It disturbs me to wear it, I feel wrapped in caramel and I think it could be overwhelming for others. It is not unpleasant, but simply does not match with me.
It is far too sweet for me; I can’t handle it. I feel wrapped in sweets and it disturbs me, plus I think it could be annoying to others. It’s not unpleasant, but it just isn’t for me.
Definitely not for everyday wear; try a decant before spending: it smells exquisite, blending delicate florals with strength and cleanliness, with a natural green note at the base. As it is potent, it can become overwhelming if it’s hot or you wear it all day, but it’s ideal for the office or formal events. Quality is 10/10.
