Simply delicious, one of my favourites. The peonies are noticeable, a floral and feminine scent with a plum centre. I love it.
On my skin it’s juicy pear, peach and banana with sugar, combined with fresh flowers like peonies, roses and violets. I imagine those open, perfect bouquets. It’s a bright light for the spirits, ideal for warm mornings and afternoons; here it suits any time of day. Very feminine, with a scent of warm, cosy home woods. It conveys warmth, light and colour, like a Bèroud painting.
Banana is my least favourite fruit, but here it is very well balanced with the other notes. It’s exquisite and elegant; it reminds me greatly of Ralph Lauren Romance. They don’t smell exactly the same but are of the same style and I find it beautiful, worthy of the legendary Nina Ricci house.
On its own, banana isn’t my fruit, but combined with other acidic notes it balances smoothies; that’s why I sought this note in fruity perfumes and found it online in 30ml. I like it: pleasant, balanced, sweet but not too much, acidic at first and soapy when dry. I don’t perceive the banana, just flowers at the end and a hint of plastic that perhaps only I notice. The trail is soft, unobtrusive, ideal for a romantic encounter. I don’t know how long it lasts as I reapply in my bag; I’ll let you know if I buy it in bulk.
Bought it blindly online following reviews. It was a mistake for me. I expected the signature of Nina Ricci classics like L’Air du Temps or Fleur de Fleurs, but it’s nothing like them; it smells like any cheap supermarket cologne from Mercadona. Basically, it’s just alcohol, barely a perfume, with only a very faint hint of banana peel. It’s nothing gourmand, don’t be fooled, it’s more floral if you can call it that. They say it evokes joy, which might be true, at least it’s not gloomy, but it’s like any cheap supermarket flower, barely scented and leaves a semi-soapy base at the end that’s not worth it. I won’t be buying it again.
I bought it blindly online and it was a miss. It lacks the signature of the classic Nina Riccis, smelling more like cheap supermarket cologne. Almost pure alcohol, with just a hint of soft banana peel, nothing gourmand, more floral. It claims to evoke joy, but it’s weak and leaves a semi-soapy dry-down. I won’t repeat the mistake.
I first met it at 23 in a perfumerie, later through a friend; very floral with hints of rose and peony, almost tipsy from that anise blended with violets. A lovely, romantic scent. What a pity it has disappeared, but memories of love and friendship remain.
