Smells like those perfumed heart-shaped sweets, but without being overly sugary. It’s soft, lasts well, and best of all, the price is a bargain for something so lovely.

Sublime floral fragrance: elegant, vibrant, luminous, powdery, fresh with spicy touches, earthy, mossy, and with just the right amount of sweetness. I love it for the scent and because it’s super versatile. In short, it’s a tightly packed red rose, complete with stem and leaves, slightly effervescent and lively especially at the start, with a hint of amber and vanilla (though not listed), sitting on a very woody base. Grise has a sumptuous nature and a mysterious air. Worth trying, but don’t buy it blindly. Performance is moderate to high.

Just bought it because it’s a chypre (one of my favourite families). Grise is delicious, muuuuy elegant, and has excellent longevity. It’s totally genderless: my nephews (they’re in their twenties) loved it, and it even made them want to buy some. They say it’s a dupe for Dior’s Gris, a fragrance I don’t know, so I can’t comment on that. But that note reference pushed me to buy Grise by MA, and I’m glad I did. It can be worn any time of year.
