This is my favourite from the house. Dior has great fragrances, but this perfume is sophisticated, sensual, and very youthful… youthful in a glamorous way, not like most. Very lovely, long-lasting, and sophisticated.
Sexy, youthful yet glamorous; the kind that suits a woman of 20, 40, or more. It has the perfect balance between sweetness and elegance. In fact, I’m wearing it right now and it draws lots of attention. Excellent longevity, sillage, and great body.
Ahhhh, I loooove it!!!
But they don’t sell this anymore, do they? Now they only sell the one that doesn’t say Chérie and it’s not the same 🙁
Excellent fragrance. I like it very much; it’s sweet, floral, fresh, feminine, and very complete without overemphasising any single note. It’s the panacea of perfumes. I came to correct myself: it was divine and adorable, a scent with broad age appeal. Dior nailed it; it’s a staple on their shelves, although much has been said about its reformulation. I’ve just finished the bottle, and although it lost some longevity over the years, I looked after it so well it stayed in my dressing table for years. I’ll add a 2025 update to my 2014 review: the empty bottle still sits there as a decoration; sometimes I just unscrew the cap to smell its soul and miss what Dior decided to take away from us.
It’s citrusy, sweet, rich, and elegant at first. I didn’t like it because it reminded me of Coco Mademoiselle, but then it became sweeter and I loved that. Besides, I receive many compliments when I wear it; everyone loves it.
I tried Miss Dior Chérie L’eau and the sales assistant got confused, testing this on me instead. Despite washing it off, the scent lingered, evoking memories of a great-aunt from the 40s, an elderly neighbour in heels, and my school supervisor in her leather coat. Perhaps Toulouse-Lautrec paintings in red and violet tones would help polish it up. I didn’t feel it was contemporary, but rather outdated and heavy, with base notes regressing to a nineteenth-century concept. Note: the L’eau version is wonderful (modern, simple, light, and elegant).
“Miss Dior Chérie” didn’t suit me. I adore sweets and patchouli, but this has a very synthetic sweetness and too much patchouli! It causes headaches if overused. It’s very similar to others, unfortunately, and I don’t like it. I’m fascinated by the Dior line in cosmetics and perfumes like “Poison”, but this isn’t for me. The longevity is good and the sillage is moderate. Pleasant if you like strong sweets.
I fell in love when I first smelled it… but buying it was a mistake. It gave me intense headaches, made me dizzy, and dried out my throat immediately. I don’t know which note causes this, but it’s a shame because it isn’t an ugly fragrance.
It drives me mad; it’s sweet to the point of being cloying and can give you headaches, but for me, it’s delicious. It smells like caramelised popcorn, though my mother says it reminds her of chewing gum. It splits opinions: you either love it or hate it. Personally, I’m hooked.
I never had the chance to try it. It’s not available in Argentina. A pity. I would have loved to know it.
I bought the perfume 4 years ago, the small bottle, but I didn’t try it because I wasn’t fully convinced. A few days ago I tried it and I’ve fallen in love. Very long-lasting, with a trail, refined and sweet at the same time, I can’t stop applying it, it’s for day and night, a true work of art.
Miss Dior Chérie. (Drum roll) My mother gave it to me, a lady who loves smelling good and has a noble pH that suits everything. My pH is rebellious, complicated. Something can smell lovely and upon contact with my skin it changes radically. Miss Dior Chérie was something that came into my life with which I’ve been able to use not only comfortably but proudly. I tried it straight out of the market in Mexico and it’s one of the fragrances where it’s impossible to go unnoticed; you can feel how people around take a deep breath, the less shy ones asking what fragrance you’re wearing. It has a powerful sweet-citrus opening, like candied orange peel, then the notes start to come through. On my skin it highlights a beautiful blend of amber, rose and a nostalgic sandalwood, all well harmonised, with a wonderful trail. It’s that perfume that lasts all day and no matter what happens, when someone gets close they’ll perceive it. This perfume is reading Shakespeare in Macbeth: tragically, terribly addictive, memorable, elegant, playful, jovial and complex. It can only be lamentable that it has been discontinued. I’m looking after half of the last bottle I could buy, like liquid gold. A true aroma masterpiece. For me, the Dior masterpiece of my generation.
AHHHHH, my great perfume love was this one. I love it and I’ll keep loving it! They broke my heart when they reformulated it again and the Miss Dior… came out, which has a much more mature scent. This was my all-rounder; thank God I managed to get the largest bottle and I always used it in rat mode (a puff on each wrist and on each bow tie) so it would last much longer, haha. Now I only have the miniature left and I treasure it like gold, because it is! It’s delicious.
I could consider Miss Dior Chérie my favourite perfume; it breaks my heart that it’s no longer available and I value the one I have (which, by the way, cost me a fortune to get). It’s a fragrance that makes you feel tender and coquettish at the same time, reminding me of when I was a child and we went to my parents’ garden for strawberries, blackberries and guavas, wearing a puffed-up dress. Strawberries and patchouli are the notes that stand out the most, with excellent longevity and a moderate trail.
I love this fragrance; it was the first perfume I bought with my first salary. It was perfect and it hurt to know when I went to buy another that was discontinued. I should try the new ones, oh, nostalgia.
When I first sprayed it, I felt it was identical to Miss Dior 2012, with a strong similarity to L’Artisan Parfumeur too, but as it dries down it takes another direction and becomes sweet, probably due to the strawberry. In the end, it leaves a sugary chypre that has me completely smitten. I need Miss Dior Chérie in my collection; it’s a pity they discontinue such lovely perfumes and that they’re so hard to find.
I bought it and was fascinated by the simplicity of its chords, yet perfectly balanced, each note in its exact place. It’s a delight and a very good perfume. Of all the Miss Diors, this is the one I like the most. It’s delicious, sweet, a little citrusy but subtle in every way. A perfume that doesn’t shout but doesn’t go unnoticed either. Perfect for all types of seasons and situations.
One of my favourites from the collection… Miss Dior. The classic, the one that makes you feel like a true Parisian Miss Dior, riding your bike down the streets, stopping to smell the flowers and try macarons. I wore it on my trip to Paris and it reminds me of that. It’s unique, elegant, sophisticated and with an unparalleled delicacy. The bottle is a work of art, elegant and tender at the same time. It broke my heart to know they reformulated the 2009 version. That is the original and unique Miss Dior for me. I’ll have to buy every last one. I’ll always keep it in my collection. It’s perfect.
Another gem from the market, a pity for those seeking non-strident, elegant and exquisite scents. In my opinion, it’s ideal for starting with Miss Dior: sparkling, youthful, fresh and fruity, with great balance. If you can find a bottle with the latest batch codes, you won’t regret it. On my skin it lasts 6 to 7 hours, with moderate to soft projection. Delicious!
I don’t understand why they discontinued it; it was my favourite perfume. I only have a little bit left that I’m honestly hoarding with my soul. There is no perfume that smells like it; they reformulated with the new Miss Dior and it has nothing to do with this. Bring it back even if it’s more expensive!
It’s an excellent perfume; it’s a pity it’s no longer made in its original version… Great longevity, leaves a spectacular trail, and really doesn’t go unnoticed… every time I’ve used it, someone asks about this fragrance. I love this perfume!
@Glor1409, here in Peru it is still on sale, in case you are interested. I can pass on contacts (serious, nothing fake) that sell online. Also, I have a friend who brought one from abroad without a box and is selling it at a very good price. Let me know and I can give you the contact if you wish and sort it out with him to send it where you are. Best regards.
This perfume is the sum of Coco Mademoiselle and Miss Dior with a portion of ethereal, cheerful, and innocent romance added. Yellow balloons and pastel roses floating slowly over the city. Coco Mademoiselle fits as the continuation of this perfume; it can speak of love with more experience and baggage. This one smells to me of the concept of ‘first love’, both towards people and perfumes.
Miss Dior Chérie, for me, is on the borderline between being extremely elegant and delicate and smelling old. But it pulls it off and smells very, very well. On my skin, I notice a lot of the earthy and woody notes; in fact, as soon as I apply it, it does something to my nose, as if I want to sneeze, and then it passes. It seems to me to be a very particular fragrance, classic but with a twist. I don’t know what to compare it to; I don’t know another fragrance that achieves the same. I love it. In Argentina currently, I can only get an imitation that, for me, is identical and very persistent (luckily!). What a pity they discontinued it.
Miss Dior Chérie was my signature scent. The first purchase I made with my first salary at 18. It was about to be discontinued when I bought it in a clearance sale, a 50ml bottle over which I argued with another person. I didn’t know that someone would take it off the market or worse, reformulate it into an endless series of absurd versions that I’ll never understand. Everything new under this name smells the same: rose, strawberry, and tangerine with good longevity, but any house nowadays produces daily wear perfumes of this style. Miss Dior Chérie was the embodiment of youth and elegance in a single fragrance. Upon application, it felt very innocent; on the skin, it developed in a suggestive way, I dare not say sensual, until it wrapped you in a veil of elegance. I enjoyed it immensely with so little in the bottle; just 1 or 2 sprays were enough for me to feel it all day and in my hair until the next day. When it dropped below half, I tried to look for it, and what a surprise: it was no longer available. I was heartbroken. I searched everywhere, looked for clones without success, and that’s because she is unique and irreplaceable. Yes, Giorgio Armani is too similar in the opening, but over time it becomes very adult. I managed to keep it intact until the day of my wedding, four years later. What better way to say goodbye to my eternal love of perfumery? My husband still remembers it. That’s how wonderful it was! I imagine it on a woman like Jane Birkin: youthful, fresh, dreamy, captivating, striking without trying. I imagine it on a woman Leo.
I don’t understand how they discontinue perfumes of this quality and olfactory warmth. I was lucky to find it from someone who wanted to get rid of it at an impossible price. And I can’t be happier; I love it and don’t want to finish it, as I doubt I’ll ever be so lucky to find it again. I couldn’t compare it to anything else; I wear it in any weather and at any time of day and year. ♥️
Dream come true! Beautiful! I owned it and it fascinated me.
I bought it thinking it was the 2005 version with that popcorn and caramel note… what a letdown! But never mind, I’m not complaining; it’s an adorable fragrance 😍. It starts with a citrusy touch of tangerine that gives way to a strawberry freshness that lingers throughout the perfume, almost like a slightly tart cherry. The patchouli and vetiver add depth and character. In the heart, the rose and a soapy jasmine are very noticeable, and the dry down is woody and ambered while keeping that cherry freshness. It’s too adorable, even elegant for someone with a very youthful spirit 🎀💕
@luli.sosabe Hello. Could you tell me which dupe you manage to get in Argentina? Many thanks!
What a stunning perfume, what a distinguished elegance it possesses, and it has a halo of brutal sensuality. It has magnificent presence, durability, and a wide trail. I adored it and have loved it to bits.
One of the scents that has impacted me the most… fresh and sweet in just the right measure. Whenever I smell an imitation, I can’t stop thinking about how happy it would make me to wear the original; without a doubt, it would be my signature scent alongside Coco Mademoiselle.
We will always remember you <3. What a beautiful perfume, elegant, full of light and romance. Simply unforgettable.
The imitation in Argentina is by Millanel and it’s identical. 10/10.
It’s not bad, nor is it my ideal. I wouldn’t buy it again.
I love it. Smells like strawberries and flowers, very feminine and delicate; it reminds me of playing the piano in a theatre surrounded by elegant ladies. Perfect for everyday wear and all seasons, it doesn’t tire or become cloying.
Love made into perfume. It smells like that – a sweet, elegant yet innocent scent, tender and cheerful like a first love. It transports me to Paris, to a shop window with beautiful clothes, to a café with a spotless table and a porcelain teapot. It’s magical and exquisite from start to finish; without a doubt, my favourite for ever. I agree with @Naia, I’m a Leo and it represents me 100%. Its trail and projection are brutal; it’s the one that has made men compliment me the most. I hope they create jewels like Miss Dior Chérie again… the best perfume of all time. (P.S. As @Fernanda52 says, the Millanel imitation in Argentina is very well done).
Oh my… today I was lucky enough to try it and I can’t stop thinking about it; I need it in my life. It’s my fragrance, I adore it, it’s what I’ve been searching for all my life. Does anyone know a reliable house in Argentina that makes similar inspirations?
It starts with a very sweet fruit salad, but the patchouli arrives quickly to bring some seriousness, preventing it from staying too youthful. Lasts about six hours with average projection.
It was my signature. What a shame they discontinued it. Since then, nothing has ever been the same; I’ve tried every flanker and none even resemble it – they all disappoint.
