  H&M doesn’t disappoint. Despite being affordable fragrances, nothing feels flat or simple. I’m utterly captivated by this beauty; it’s excellent for spring, during that transition from cold to warmth. It smells classic, timeless, and fantastic.

  It’s my only H&M perfume and the sole creation by Olivier Pescheux that convinced me after trying the entire range in-store. Although there were other options, none felt as original to me. By the way, Makassar Patchouli is a powerhouse of intense patchouli, perfect on its own or for blending. Conversely, La Raconteuse is head-over-heels floral, not for those sensitive to such notes. Straight out of the bottle, it smells of natural bitter orange and orange blossom, then sweetens with ylang-ylang and vanilla. The trail is moderate and lasts around six hours on my skin. I picked it up at 60% off as it was being discontinued, so it’s a triumph for spring and has piqued my curiosity to try more from the brand. Scent 7.5, longevity 7, sillage 7, value for money 8, versatility 7, packaging 6.5. Yes, I would buy it again.
