Descripción

Incense Sunset by Zara is an aromatic woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2021, this composition features the olfactory signature of Jo Malone. The top note presents the freshness of mandarin, which gives way to a heart of cedar and settles on a base of incense.

An indispensable unisex scent for those who enjoy incense: it smells fresh, with an intense church-like incense yet nothing overpowering thanks to the citrus top notes that add sparkle and cheer. It’s not dark, serious, or heavy like a thurible; rather, it’s bright and refreshing, even suitable for summer. It has a cedar base that, combined with the incense, is delicious; all the notes harmonise beautifully. It’s worth four times the price, and I’d pay for the original due to its impressive longevity and sillage, plus it smells expensive and exclusive. It’s a great buy at this price; you can buy it blind without risk, as the notes match the description without surprises, something rare at Zara. I loved it; I’m not usually a fan of incense as it smells of closed churches and wooden pews to me, giving me yawns and no chemistry with my skin, so I usually put them aside or gift them, but this is very different: a fresh, cheerful incense that captivates, addictive and seductive. Moreover, it lingers without you noticing; three sprays are enough to stay in a bubble projecting a metre. I’m delighted with this blind buy, a real treat.

  • It’s a good perfume, but more suitable for people over 40; it feels zero youthful and very masculine in my opinion.

I bought this blind and it was a mistake. I had already fallen in love with the intense church-like incense of Bohemian Oud, although it only lasted an hour. I thought this name would offer the same character but with more longevity. Spoiler: it doesn’t. It smells of incense, yes, but it sits behind a citrus cedar that doesn’t let it shine. It’s unisex in the sense that any gender could wear it without standing out, but I can’t see myself wearing it with a floral dress; it tends towards masculine. Aside from my disappointment over the lack of incense and its masculine tone, it smells very good, lasts, and projects well. It’s just not for me.

  • It’s a lovely lemon incense with a touch of wood. I admit it wasn’t what I expected; in my head, the incense should have been heavier and more prominent, but it wasn’t. It comes out resinous and green, but within seconds the citrus notes emerge, taking it to a friendlier territory: a sweet, citrusy incense with wood at the base. Incense Sunset is versatile, unisex and easy to wear, with outstanding performance. To repeat, it wasn’t what I expected, but I loved it.

  • It’s a beautiful lemon incense with a touch of wood. I admit it wasn’t what I expected; in my mind, the incense should have been heavier and more prominent, but it hasn’t been so. It comes out resinous and green, but within seconds the citrus emerges, taking it to a friendlier terrain: a sweet incense, citrusy, with wood in the background. Incense Sunset is versatile, unisex, and easy to wear, with outstanding longevity. I repeat, it wasn’t what I expected, but I loved it.

  • Although it appears unisex, several people find it suits a mature man. It’s not that the incense is missing, but rather its role is to round off the citrus notes towards a denser tone. You won’t find ecclesiastical incense or pure smoke here if you have experience with the subject; it is more resinous and ambered, as if the resins have just been lit and are releasing tangerine peel oils. In the air, there is still no smoke, and the citrus brightness stands out.

  • I have the round bottle and it’s very well made, smells delicious and lasts quite a while on the skin.

  • It’s a generic scent, yet it performs remarkably well on the skin for such a citrusy fragrance. Interestingly, the incense is prominent at first but fades, leaving behind a sweet lemon note. It reminds me of Serge Lutens’ Bleu, although that one is of higher quality and has much better projection.
