I bought this blind for the price and because people said it was similar to Mancera Red Tobacco, and honestly, it’s a hit. Right out of the bottle, the cinnamon and date take centre stage, giving a fruity touch mixed with vanilla. After a while, the date and vanilla remain, but the sandalwood and benzoin start to show through. By seven hours, all that’s left is sandalwood and ebony. In the first hour and a half, it bears a strong resemblance to Natura Essencial Oud, though this one smells a bit more talcum-like. For the price, a good purchase.

  2. Charriol is an interesting and quality oriental. At first, it smells dark with ebony and sandalwood, which remind me of TF for Men Extreme, but without that strong truffle density. Ten minutes in, the myrrh dominates everything, although the cinnamon and vanilla tone it down a little. The trail is potent and suits cooler days well. I think it’s unisex and very different from Western-style perfumes, like those made by Swiss Arabian or Al Haramain.
