Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette Intense by Kenzo is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2021, the nose behind this composition is Quentin Bisch. The top notes reveal a marine atmosphere with calypso, pink pepper and spices; the heart unfolds fig, fig tree and vetiver; while the base notes settle on sandalwood, akigalawood and patchouli.

  • One of my favourites, suitable for everything, many compliments. At work I gathered several friends and they told me this is the best. I literally showered and it still smells on skin and clothes, lasting until washed and more, with a fantastic trail. I don’t like the opening much, but after minutes, that fig and leaf scent is spectacular and fresh. I liked it so much I bought two bottles. Batch 2024, I hope they don’t reformulate it; it will be my signature for a long time.

Okay, I’ll tell the story nobody asked me about this Kenzo. At my work my boss uses it, but later he confessed it’s his favourite… oh surprise! I always thought his smell was because we used the same Rexona deodorant x10. One day talking about perfumes he said he brought this Kenzo and I had to tell him it smells muuuuy similar. The scent is good, but the projection and longevity are the same as the deodorant. If you want to know what it smells like, go to the supermarket and buy Rexona x10 antiperspirant.

I’m sorry to tell you they’ve reformulated it since the 2025 batches (mine is 5A01). It no longer has that great trail from before nor the longevity of over 8 hours. I’ve tested it thoroughly and it reaches at most 6 hours with a trail and projection of 1 hour 30 minutes.

  • A marvel, with one catch… In times of clones and saturated trends, brands like Kenzo continue to bet on the original. By hiring a mainstream perfumer like Bisch, they achieved something unique and charming. It’s an ode to the classics, adapted to contemporary noses. It’s bold and risks it, but enough to please. Many say it’s not for everyone, but no perfume is. It feels cooler to say it than what it implies. You must try it, but I think it could be a prime successor to hits like D&G K or YSL Y. What does it smell like? A perfect balance between woods, aromatics, and aquatic notes. Opening with woods (less spicy than described), then the aquatic mixed with the fig fruit accord and its tree. Finishing with a creamy sandalwood like Santal 33. Result: an intense and interesting ‘blue’ creation. Very versatile for occasions, ages, and seasons. Its performance also takes my hat off. They say they reformulated current batches, but in mine (3K01, 2023) it’s a beast. It lasts over 12 hours, notable for a blue, but the stars are projection and trail: it fills rooms for 3-4 hours and leaves a trail everywhere. Probably my most praised perfume. They told me it smells like a sawmill, but other times comments are positive. Is it that hard to like? I don’t think so. But it has a significant catch: certain synthetic molecules like Calypsone or Akigalawood generate olfactory fatigue. Not always, but there are times I stop feeling it and it returns later. It’s annoying because one wants to enjoy it beyond what others perceive. But on days it doesn’t happen, I enjoy those constant bursts immensely. In conclusion, Kenzo Homme Intense is a masterpiece. It’s different, without exaggeration, a bold blue fragrance that is loved much. It’s a queen of compliments, perhaps due to its beastly performance (until batch 2023). Ideal for any occasion, age, and season. To enjoy, provided it doesn’t cause olfactory fatigue. Worth it, even more so for its modest price.

  • A marvel until this year’s version turned into water. We’re talking minutes, not hours, and it projects nothing…

  • What a molecule Quentin Bisch came up with using patchouli or its leftovers, which is his signature. I’ll say no more: a great perfume with great longevity and good sillage. It nails summer heat, just like its cousin L’Él de Issey, another fantastic fragrance.

  • Hocicosensible

You’re right, they have reformulated it. Before it lasted two days and was nuclear. Now it lasts 8 hours on skin and projects for at most 2 hours. By the way, Nike released a ‘Blue Bamboo’ that is identical. It has good longevity, less projection but very perceptible for 3 hours. I’m mentioning this in case you want to save your old batches to have a copy for everyday wear.

  • albaricoques

I bought it blindly for my boyfriend’s birthday. I haven’t tested the trail or longevity yet, but I love the scent. It smells of bamboo to me, even though it’s not in the notes. I expected something more marine, but I do recommend it. It’s good for daily wear, especially for summer and spring; it smells very fresh.

  • Picture mixing fig, woods, and water, where every spray is a nuclear bomb for longevity. Kenzo Homme Intense is a beast: I wore five sprays yesterday and it’s still strong after 12 hours. None of my 50 perfumes come close. Perhaps Le Sel de Issey (also by Bisch), but it needs more sprays to match it. This clings to everything you touch or anyone who touches you. I’ve read complaints about a reformulation, but I’d check if it’s original because it doesn’t add up. You can smell it from two metres away at parties, and on clothes, needless to say. Wear it in mild weather or heat, but not for dining with a group as it’s overwhelming. Wish more designers had this performance to justify the price.

  • I have a reformulated bottle and for me, it’s improved. What’s the point of lasting two days if it’s for the office? This is now perfect for work. For an olfactory bomb, buy Megamare or its clone.

  • For those who like woody scents, welcome. This has a watery touch. If I had to describe it, it’s more wood than water. Here you won’t find the sea and a few woods. Here you find the woods living near the sea.

  • Kenzo Homme Intense has the ADN of the EDP but with a different vibe. It’s as if you took the EDP, turned down the volume on the dry woody notes and the patchouli, and in exchange added a more fruity (fig) tropical and spicy touch; perhaps that’s where it differentiates another note, Calipsone. The result is a more versatile perfume, less dark, heavy, and MUCH easier to wear for daily life. In my opinion, it’s like the more relaxed version of the older brother. It doesn’t lose that marine-woody identity, but transforms it into something fresher and easier to use, without the opulence of the EDP. Now, there’s something curious about this perfume: on my skin, I feel it very well for the first 3 hours, then it appears and disappears. It’s a very strange sensation. You spray it, enjoy it for a while, and suddenly it seems to disappear… but minutes later it hits you with a burst of scent out of nowhere. It’s as if it hides and reappears every now and then in bursts, and so on. Once I sprayed it three times (two on the neck and one on the jacket) at 7 am to go to study, and still at 9 pm I could feel those faint flashes of the perfume on my neck. Not constant, but present. Maybe it’s my batch, although I saw perfumer YouTuber Carlos Rubio comment exactly the same in the video titled ‘Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette Intense | Beast mode or Fake?’, so I’m not alone in this. In conclusion, Kenzo Homme Intense is a great option if you like the style of the EDP but want something more versatile, more daytime, and less dense. It has good longevity (though with a strange behaviour on skin) and still maintains that marine and elegant spirit that characterises the line.

A new fragrance for my daily life; I bought it blind, to clarify, I’m not a fan of herbal perfumes but it caught my attention greatly due to reviews, and here I am. Its opening is a bit odd; it smells like plant stems, wet and green but friendly, feeling fresh with a very timid fruity touch. As it dries, it reveals its best; it feels like a fig accompanied by a sea breeze, and very deep down I perceive the woods. In general terms, I liked it; ideal for heat, projects well in the first hours, and lasts its 10 hours on skin. It’s not the mega beast many claim, but it fulfills as it should. I have it for daily use and even for the gym; it’s nothing elegant by any means, extremely informal, fresh, and it’s appreciated that it has good longevity. I don’t recommend buying it blind; I give it a 7.5/10.

  • Marco Reus507

Just bought it, 2023 batch, comes with the perfume, a 10ml decant, and a soap with the scent. The opening reminds me of Vick VapoRub but not as strong. I really like the dry-down; it’s powdery, woody, masculine, and smells very rich. People talk about longevity, but the truth is it doesn’t last long; it’s not the beast they claim. I haven’t followed this house because it never appealed to me, but I bought it following positive reviews, and the truth is it didn’t leave a mark on me as much as expected. I must say I like the scent and that feeling of not smelling like almost anyone, however, it’s the longevity that disappointed me. Just like with Dior Homme Intense, I’ll leave it to macerate to see if it changes, as the latter macerated wonderfully and now lasts a lot, whereas at the start it only lasted about 4 hours; now it’s over 12 hours without fuss. Hopefully, maceration will help with longevity. Scent 8/10, Longevity 6/10. Occasions: quite versatile, suitable for heat and cold, without extremes.

  • Jaime Ramírez

It’s a woody and fresh fragrance. Its greatest virtue is the long-lasting performance on skin; once dried, after an hour, it becomes super masculine and woody. It’s not aquatic, but it has a marine accord in the opening that then fades, leaving behind the wood, a sweet fig note, and many elegant woods.

  • It smells delicious; I never had the chance to try this Kenzo until now. It’s an ADN that reminds me of Paradise Garden by the same perfumer, which I’m seeking because I love those woody base notes with sandalwood and fig. I wanted something different from JPG and found this instead: more versatile, less sweet, and simply delicious.

  • One of the few perfumes with a soul nowadays, a feat by the perfumer. The opening of sea breeze and salt is unique, especially when followed by a fig nectar, a genius by the author and his personal signature. The heart stands out for sandalwood and vetiver, which provide support and longevity to the trail. The longevity exceeds 12 hours with a projection lasting 4 hours beyond the arm. The April 2024 batch 4D02 has great intensity and fixation. It’s a characterful perfume that requires guts to wear; it plays well with summer afternoons at the beach. It’s not for everyday use. In summary, I agree with other reviewers: it’s a great perfume with its own identity, easily making the top tier.

  • SANTIAGOFUTURO7

Like a breeze caressing your senses, it is definitely one of my favourites. A single application fills the whole room with salty and marine notes, very well executed. It’s a gem that always earns compliments; on very humid days it fades, but for any other occasion it works perfectly. It’s never on offer, you know why; its sibling, Marina, is similar.

  • Andres Carrillo

It’s the one that has earned me the most compliments because it’s a rare scent. I hated it at first in the shop, but after a few hours it became addictive and lasted a nightmare, so I bought it again. It’s not as marine as people say; the star is the fig and sandalwood, which take all the credit. The longevity is brutal: 12 hours on skin with just six sprays, and up to a week on clothes. I once put a single drop on my leather watch and it lasted for months. It’s best for cold climates; in summer it could be overpowering due to its strength. At work, the sandalwood is noticeable but not unpleasant. I recommend testing it on your skin before buying. For me, it’s a gem, 10/10.

  • What can I say about this perfume? The opening might not please everyone, but the dry down is the most delicious I’ve heard. I bought it blind (the small version) and when it runs out, if anything, I’m going for the big bottle.

  • I received it today and am reviewing it while wearing it. Honestly, I’ve always considered myself to have a sensitive nose but I’m not trained to recognise notes (sometimes I think reviewers know because they read the olfactory pyramid). I loved the fresh scent; it smells original and elegant. Perhaps it will be my professional signature fragrance (although for an addict like me, I don’t think I have one). It’s more for day and suits warm climates well. Many review it as a beast, but I don’t think it is in projection and trail; I don’t feel the trail heavy. In longevity it does have good performance; it doesn’t flood spaces. I feel it friendly and not invasive, not even indoors. I had the CDN and Hawas Black; those are indeed for use with caution because they can offend. I don’t feel Kenzo like that; it’s attractive and super fine, sure to generate compliments because it doesn’t aggress but embraces. I visit offices and I think it will serve me professionally; it smells like someone with bearing and class. Some believe it was reformulated in 2025 and lost power; perhaps I got a reformulated one. Summary: Projection moderate (2h), Trail moderate (not invasive), Longevity: all day, even soft at 12h.

  • Arthur Grenouille

KENZO Homme Intense EDT. This fragrance wears the ‘Intense’ on its chest. I attest that it is, without doubt, ‘The Blue Beast’ (just by the bottle). First: it is perhaps the most durable and potent perfume in recent history (almost like the Dior Fahrenheit EDT batches from 1989). It’s difficult because it’s very strong. It’s self-offensive if you put on more than 6 sprays. It tends to be aquatic, based on fig over that Akigalawood base that Quentin Bisch loves so much and became his hallmark. Sometimes I wonder if Akigalawood is a captive molecule of Givaudan or if it has Bisch captive… I would describe it as fresh, semi-aquatic, with a green-woody tendency, something sombre and salty, a supremely unique scent, 100% different. On clothes it lasts weeks; on skin on a hot day (up to 28ºC) it gives 12 hours, projecting like a beast for the first 6. It can be overwhelming if you put it on the sternum or arms; I recommend NOT doing so. Does it generate compliments? Yes, it smells good, it’s quality and very different. It doesn’t go unnoticed. The two relevant aspects of this nuclear bomb are: first, it’s not the typical sweet, diabetic, youthful scent nor the generic fresh one, and second, the price-to-quality ratio is spectacular. A bottle lasts years because it’s very, very strong. It can be a signature if you know how to play with the sprays, according to season, occasion, and climate. If you’re a novice, DO NOT buy it blind. If you have experience, it’s a safe purchase. Scent: 8/10. Longevity: 10/10. Trail: 10/10. Thanks to master Quentin Bisch for this wonder that smells like quality niche, costs little, and lasts forever.

  • Pure versatility, something unique and particular; for me, the definitive perfume. I’m not going to talk about what it smells like because it wouldn’t do it justice. The only downside is that it takes me time to feel it due to the fatigue it generates; it’s really potent. I got a 2024 batch that doesn’t last the 12 hours promised, but it reaches 8 hours with 3 hours of strong projection.

  • Note, this is worth it if anything, but for summer. In winter it makes no sense due to the much sandalwood and Akigalawood; it smells like summer. If it gets on your clothes it doesn’t go away and penetrates the sweatshirt with a single spray on the arm. Beast mode to the max; the dry down is the same as other Kenzos. It’s the only one I feel smells synthetic but pleasant, something strange about the liquid as it falls. I recommend it 100%, especially coming from the hands of master Quentin.

  • I have a 2025 batch (5G01) and I must debunk those who say it’s less potent. This perfume is a monster in projection and longevity. I loved it and my wife did too. I bought it blind but I don’t recommend doing so; it’s the type of perfume where you can love or hate it. The salty accords are comparable to Pazzaglia’s Sea Collection, so be careful with sprays to not overwhelm people, especially in enclosed spaces.

  • Brutal perfume, this is my future purchase; I’ve already heard and tried it. First thing: it’s super necessary to test it before buying because, although it looks innocent, it’s a monster. It’s very rich; with just three sprays it smells on your clothes for a week if you don’t wash them. It projects a lot; I was left impressed. Be careful with dizziness. It’s for wearing old money style clothes but for the beach, that vibe gives it. It’s very formal, not for dates or parties or seduction; it’s more for you than for others. Obviously it gets compliments, but keep that in mind, it’s more for you.

  • I have an October 2025 batch and it projects off the nose. It’s a strange perception: when I smell my skin I don’t feel it strongly, but when I move there are incredible bursts. The aquatic notes, fig, and woods are at full throttle for hours. It’s a beast. I picked up the 110ml bottle and I think it’s going to be eternal.

  • Sea, spices, and vetiver that achieve beastly performance. You’ll flood any space without overwhelming. Compliments guaranteed, infinite level.

  • Benyizizu27

I have a 2023 batch and it’s strange that it doesn’t last even a minute, or perhaps it’s olfactory fatigue that I’m not feeling, because it smells like nothing, as if I’m not wearing any perfume at all. To be honest, I don’t like that and no one has asked me anything when I wear it; it’s disappointing. Personally, I love the scent, but what’s the point if I can’t feel it? Does this happen to anyone else?

  • I just bought it and it’s a beast in terms of price-to-quality ratio. Quentin Bisch has already got us used to compositions like Bois Imperial or Terriaq Intense (my favourites) and now Kenzo Homme Intense. It’s a fresh aromatic ideal for spring and summer, you make an impression and it’s very pleasant. It doesn’t bother anyone! I recommend it 100%.

  • Incredible performance. The fig note is quite noticeable for the first 3-4 hours, then the woody base makes it fade a bit, but it maintains a fresh, sexy, and masculine aroma. Not one to buy blindly.

  • Undoubtedly one of the most special fragrances in my collection: distinct, marine, aquatic, and woody. Its trail and projection stand out for the first 2-3 hours. After 8 hours, it still throws clear bursts onto the face. I recommend it without hesitation, but don’t buy blindly. If you like fig notes, you’re in the right place.

  • There’s a lot of talk about it being reformulated. I acquired a batch with four months of age a few days ago, and the performance it gives for my profile is simply beastly. I can smell it right up against my skin after 20 hours, and on clothes it can last as long as you want. Incredible scent and quite unique within its category, without being a strange aroma that turns people away initially. This perfume alongside Le Sel EDT by Issey Miyake (made by the same perfumer) is a marvel in both scent and performance; I’m very surprised. Scent: 9.5, Performance: 11/10.

  • Aka_Kaiser22

I bought it for under €40, although I admit it was blind (never do that, always test them) taking advantage of an online offer. It was love at first sight. Both the Kenzo brand and the perfume are undervalued, and I don’t understand why they aren’t talked about more. The scent is brutal: fig and sandalwood, simple yet groundbreaking. It reminds me slightly of K by D&G but with steroids and more wearable thanks to the aquatic notes. I wore a bit too much to test it, and although we’re in winter in Spain, it lasted all day… imagine this in summer. Don’t let the name Eau de Toilette fool you; this is a Parfum with legs. The trail is curious: when you’re still, it smells normal, but when you move, atomic bursts come. With constant movement, the trail multiplies by 10. A spring-summer perfume, 100% for open spaces, although playing with the number of sprays can increase versatility. The only downside is that I bought the 60ml version; I’ll definitely go for the 110ml next.

  • costabrava23

Eau de Toilette? Don’t let it fool you; it’s a nuclear bomb. I laugh at those who talk about it being a parfum. It lasts and projects massively. I have ‘complicated’ skin and it’s hard to find things that last on me, but this is a 10 for me. The aroma is peculiar; never buy blindly. Totally versatile and suitable for any weather.

  • Yonamontoya

If you want to turn heads and fill yourself with compliments, this is the ideal perfume. For me, it was an instant, brutal love at first sight.

  • Something strange happened to me: with the 1-2ml tester, the scent was deep and lasted for days, but the 60ml bottle (batch 5K01) smells lighter and less intense. I’ll let it macerate to see if it regains that potency. I gave it 10/10 when I first tried it.

  • Vikdeparfum

It’s the best I’ve ever smelled. Impossible to be objective. It has brought me countless compliments, literally fills the room, and leaves an unmistakable trail. It’s modern, electric, and versatile. Performs like a niche fragrance. I recommend it.

  • Elrichifragrances

Smells delicious, but watch out: the fig note isn’t for everyone. If you like the style of Paradise Garden by JPG or K EDP, you’ll love this because it’s aquatic, with those vibes of Ferragamo’s Oceani. The rest is creamy fig thanks to sandalwood, vetiver, and Akigalawood, very much in the style of Quentin Bisch. Projects well; on breezy days it smells incredible. Lasts up to 12 hours on skin. Try it before buying.
