Well… I’m a fan of Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances and as soon as I saw it in a department store, I rushed to buy it. And I must say it disappointed me a little. It doesn’t smell bad; it’s a scent that opens fresh with the marked iris note, feels aquatic and salty, and later dries down to a fruity (I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is) with a vanilla base. It’s pleasant, fresh, sweet, and carefree, but it doesn’t resemble any other from this house. It’s a fragrance that, for me, would fit better with one of the Marc Jacobs Daisy line, as it’s tender, youthful, and casual. I don’t feel it as being Jean Paul Gaultier, which, in my opinion, creates spectacular and very special fragrances. That said, the longevity is excellent (7-8 hours), although after two hours, it becomes a fragrance with light-to-moderate projection.

  • Yesterday around 7 pm I found a tester for Fleur Terrible. I’d been hunting for it for weeks. I sprayed three sprays on my wrist. Today it’s 11 am and, without having showered yet, I can still feel its remnants sticking to my nose. Its longevity on my skin is very good, especially considering that perfumes usually don’t last long on me, and for a couple of hours I felt it projecting acceptably, reappearing intermittently afterwards. I’ve liked it, much more than La Belle, with which I find almost no resemblance. This one is cheerful, solar, slightly aquatic, nothing like that sugary, heavy, and affected mess that La Belle is. The salty coconut and vanilla give it a tropical and carefree touch, but at the same time it’s creamy and powdery, a combination that I particularly like, although I admit that nowadays it’s not the height of originality. I need to do more testing before deciding whether to pay the 70 euros the 100 ml bottle is currently costing, which, by the way, is a real beauty. I’ll keep a close eye on it.

I was really keen to try this perfume. Its bottle is one of the most beautiful there is, but not so its scent… I found it terrible. A very musty opening, like stale cookies or barley, something very unpleasant. After several minutes, it started to feel slightly floral in the background with the iris; however, I wasn’t able to keep wearing it, so I washed my hand. My opinion is too subjective because I hate the iris note and this is definitely no exception. I wouldn’t be surprised if in a few more years I liked it hahaha, but for now, this perfume is a resounding NO for me.

This scent, uhh, I fell in love with it; I finally have it. For me, it’s addictive; I’m not a huge fan of Gaultier, but this scent… creamy, overflowing with sensuality, delicate, those aquatic notes which are sweet to me, not salty, the water lily so delicate, I appreciate a touch of violet and iris… the vanilla in the base is like it’s climbing up. I declare it my scent for this summer. It has captivated me.

  • I received this beauty yesterday. I had tried it in-store but it didn’t grab my attention much (I was saturated from smelling about six perfumes beforehand), yet I still bought it with an online discount. On my skin, it worked magic. It feels tropical and summery but quite intense. As they say, it also smells of coconut to me. It has a certain hint of Montblanc Signature, giving me that vibe, though they aren’t the same; does it contain Ylang Ylang? (It seems so, and also because it’s described as aphrodisiac). I wore it yesterday afternoon and woke up today still smelling it. Lastly, my husband complimented it, and that is a great honour for a perfume.

There are few declared notes, but it does contain coconut, even if they don’t say so. I liked it; it doesn’t resemble any of its sisters. The opening is fresh and you can feel the alcohol, but once it dries down, it transforms, and that’s where the fun begins. I felt it was a familiar scent, and what a surprise when I went to smell La Vie Est Belle Soleil! XD I know they are very similar; however, be aware that the flanker of La Vie Est Belle Soleil has nothing to do with the original. It’s a unique thing so they don’t associate the Fleur Terrible as being super sweet, although it is sweet, it is fresh. It doesn’t have great projection but lasts quite a while on the skin.

I’m not a huge fan of the La Belle line or JPG in general (they overwhelm me), but this has been my summer discovery. What a delight. I love that exotic touch that transports me to a paradisiacal beach with lush vegetation and flowers. It’s fresh and sweet at the same time, incredibly addictive. The trail is medium-low, but the longevity on my skin is extremely high, at least in my case. My boyfriend has loved it, which is admirable because he only wears it once every 10,000 times.

  • mayialsava

What a delicious fragrance on my skin. It opens fresh and sweet without being cloying, with a delightful coconut that persists throughout its entire duration before drying down into a coconut-vanilla combo that fascinates me. Although it has coconut, I don’t find it particularly summery; rather, it feels cosy and sexy. My husband was also fascinated by it. In my opinion, it’s more suitable for daytime wear. The trail is moderate, about three hours, after which it sits close to the skin, but the longevity exceeds eight hours. I’m in love and would like to buy a backup before this limited edition runs out.

  • Perfumepassion

I tried this in-store and something odd happened: as soon as I applied it to my skin, I detected a note also present in the 360 Perry Ellys, something melon-like that made me recoil. Furthermore, it smells like two distinct perfumes living together but refusing to blend; there is no chemistry between them, as if I’d sprayed one and then layered another on top. It simply didn’t convince me.

  • Princessmar

I went absolutely crazy over the bottle; it looks straight out of a dream island and every detail screams what it smells like: summer, colourful, and full of nuances. It delivers on its promises. Unlike its sisters, which are red, nocturnal, and vampiric, this one is sweet and babyish for day and night—a sweet woman who then devours you with sensuality. It reminds me of La Vie Est Belle Soleil Crystal, very similar, and has a bit of Womanity by TM, but with more of the former. What it definitely has is that water lily touch at the start that smells aquatic, then dries down to reveal the sweet, powdery part. I think they declare fewer notes than it actually contains; I’m sure it carries coconut and some sweet woody note in the base. For me, it’s a 10 for scent, trail, and longevity; it surprised me and I bought it blind. If you like coconut and vanilla, you’ll love it.

I’ll briefly tell you how I discovered this fragrance. I was looking for attractive jewellery, found a lovely stand, nothing expensive and refined. I bought several things, plus clothes, and didn’t have money for everything. The girl very kindly offered to reserve it if I committed to picking it up. The next day, my husband went to collect the accessories. When he got home, he noticed an exquisite scent and couldn’t find where it was coming from. Upon opening the jewellery parcel, an enveloping, elegant and sweet fragrance invaded my senses. What had happened? My husband saw the beautiful bottle and sprayed some tester onto the cardboard. He innocently put it inside the bag of what he’d collected; every piece became perfumed, I went crazy smelling it. I had to try it. We agreed to go on Sunday to try it on my skin, which devours almost all perfumes due to my pH. I applied it with the tester and let it dry. It has a powerful opening for a light fragrance, projecting generously for 3 hours. Here comes the magic (on me): it settles into a fine dry-down, neither childish nor vintage. On my skin, the vanilla, iris stand out, and I’m sure it has Haba Tonka, perhaps almond. I thought it would last four hours, but no! It stayed on my skin for almost 24 hours even after I’d showered. I think it’s aimed at all women who enjoy a discreet but present fragrance, for the woman who sticks with strong fragrances like me. Since the first three hours project so much, I don’t feel short-changed by its incredible longevity, in eras where commercial perfumery offers few options at a good price. It’s not expensive at all considering the quality. Here in Argentina I tried it fresh, and based on comments, it will be enjoyed more in hot weather. I received it as a gift from my husband; today I already have another bottle to continue enjoying because I haven’t seen a quality, aroma and price so reasonable for a while. I recommend it for any occasion if you’re looking for something discreet but not absent. It’s a gem… pity it’s limited edition; I think we need perfumes like this. I’d love an intense version to turn heads, but with this I’m more than satisfied. I encourage you to try it and if you like it, don’t let it pass you by. Hopefully there are enough units for everyone to enjoy. Best wishes!!!

  • What a lovely floral combination wrapped in sweet and fresh vanilla, so youthful, spring-like and luminous!!! Finally, the year of its launch has arrived in the country at a reasonable price and in a gorgeous box, ideal for gifting on the Day of Tender Spring Love. The longevity is interesting; I just tried it on my skin and I quite like it. The beautiful bottle, although I associate it more with lilac than turquoise. It’s not an oceanic fragrance, but rather a blooming garden scent. Sincerely, I don’t relate it to Mugler’s Womanity as mentioned; this is more salty and exotic, whereas Belle Fleur is basically an infusion of iris with white flowers, moving away from the Womanity concept. Regarding the name, Belle Fleur is fine, it’s very cute and not terrible.

  • What a surprise for me 🙂 I don’t like the La Belle line, nor Classique, nor JPG in general; they seem too sweet, powdery and strong… etc. I’ve quite liked this one, despite the iris; it doesn’t seem powdery to me, but rather a fresh floral, slightly sweet. Even though coconut isn’t listed, I perceive a certain coconut water aroma. The only thing I don’t adore is that I find it somewhat synthetic. A great option for spring or hot climates. Rating 8/10.

  • To clarify, this is just my opinion on first impressions: I detect very marked and distinct notes of coconut and water lily. Both coexist, though unfortunately without integrating. It unsettles me a bit, as if it smelled like two different perfumes overlaid: one aquatic, fresh and floral, and another sweet and fruity coconut. It smells rich, but it doesn’t conquer me. Especially because of that coconut/fig note so present in recent perfumes, sweet and gummy, which I find tiresome and unsophisticated. Examples: Olympea Solar, Lady Million Fabulous and Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette Intense (listed as fig).

  • I tried it in a perfumery. It has the scent of the La Belle line, but here I sense something silky and coconutty, very soft, sweet and rich. However, it didn’t say anything more to me.

  • To be honest: if you let people smell it without seeing the bottle, many won’t say much. To me, it’s a watery mix of flowers and fruit, like melon or coconut, something to wear so no one notices what you’re wearing. It’s not a powerhouse; the hype is due to the presentation and the fact that it’s limited. If you remove the packaging, it’s one of those that will be discontinued in two years due to low sales. And the price… it’s not worth the cost. For this scent, I wouldn’t pay more than €30 for 50ml, being generous. If you want to own it as a decorative object, the bottle is worth more than the liquid. This is my honest opinion, just as respectable as those who love it.

  • Very summery and cheerful. I tried it on hot days and it accompanies without being overwhelming; it’s sweet but in just the right measure. It’s not a unique or complex scent, but it’s worth it. To my nose, the opening reminds me of La Nuit Tresor Nude; I sense a coconut note even though it’s not declared. I don’t recommend buying it blindly if you already own the other La Belle scents, as they aren’t the same.

  • VanillaDream

I love it, it’s delicious. On me, it’s sweet and powdery. Besides vanilla, I read it contains almond milk. I think the opening has a salty touch, maybe a bit of sea salt. It stayed much nicer on me at 15 degrees than at the 40 degrees it’s making today. It has a strong opening; I see it more for mid-season rather than extreme heat. Also, on me it projects and lasts a treat.

  • I love it! It smells like summer and feminine, but not like a little girl’s rose 😜. It doesn’t remind me of anything, but smelling my arm is addictive and makes me happy. Scent 9/10, Sillage 8/10, Longevity 8/10, Bottle 8/10, Uniqueness 9/10. Occasion: summer from afternoon onwards for chill or romantic outings. Does it smell like summer and happiness? Yes! I love it ❤️. Like waves and the sea breeze on my face. And I’d buy another backup immediately (something I’ve never done before).

  • Why didn’t this perfume make more noise? It’s gorgeous! Totally unconventional, starting fresh and aquatic with lots of water lily and iris. Others smell coconut, but I don’t; instead, I get an undeclared fruit blending with the vanilla that envelops it. Ideal for spring-summer, soft and airy; whenever I wear it, people compliment me. I loved it so much I already have two backups because they almost discontinued it. What a pity it was limited edition… I can’t imagine a summer without it! A true gem 👌🏼

  • A peculiar scent; that coconut note everyone talks about isn’t actually coconut, it’s a nuance of the water lily that smells of fig. It’s sweet, with a salty touch you don’t always notice, creamy, aquatic, and ends up powdery. The trail is moderate but the longevity is good. It’s a nice fragrance; in my opinion, it’s an 8/10. If you suffer from migraines, don’t buy it blindly; it doesn’t bother, but it can give some people a headache. I see it all year round, it reminds me of something from the late 80s, it has a vintage touch because it’s powdery, nothing exaggerated. Edit: I took it to my mother’s house and she said it smelled like cheap perfume.

  • Something strange happened with this one. It smells of aquatic summer coconut, but it’s so potent that I only enjoy it in the heat. I love it! But I decided to exchange it because every time I wore it, people told me it smelled terrible 🙁

  • I love it! Fresh but powerful, unique, and completely unlike anything else. Ideal for spring and summer, but be aware, it has a trail and lasts a long time. The bottle is divine. It puts me in a good mood, it’s super cheerful and perfect for the day. I adore it.

  • Aromadicciones

Totally aquatic, mixed with iris and vanilla. The lily smells of banana and rich coconut, and also of violets to reinforce what’s already there. Over time, it becomes powdery and more vanilla-like.

  • It starts super fresh with that aquatic lotus flower, which I also love in Annayake’s Pour Elle. Then comes the iris, but without that makeup smell that I hate. The vanilla wraps everything up, and the ginger adds a fun kick. It’s iris and vanilla with aquatic and spicy touches. It’s not very volatile, and if you layer it with other things, it will come through, so I don’t think it’s worth paying more than €140 on the secondary market. On my skin, in extreme heat, it lasted six hours and is detectable with any breeze. I’m not regretting it, but I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • I was looking for something long-lasting that wouldn’t give me migraines, unlike the fruity florals I usually tolerate. The sales assistant showed it to me and I was instantly smitten. I came back the next day, almost because of the fixative and that coconut note. What a great look! 👏👏👏

  • This perfume is so delicious that I couldn’t help but put a blotter in my glasses case so that every time I put them on, I could smell it. In the past, I felt it was a bad plan to discontinue this fragrance, but if it smells the same as the new Paradise Garden, then it should be repurchased. I see it as perfect for all occasions and it’s one of the ones I like smelling most on my wife.

  • Manu_speranza

What a beautiful perfume. Floral, aquatic, fresh, but with the sweet touch of vanilla without being cloying. I’m not so bothered by it, fortunately. So feminine, summery, perfect to be a signature scent for spring and summer during the day only. I really love it.

  • I tried this perfume today, which I bought blind. I must say it’s rich and special, like all the JPGs. But it has an acidic fruit, like passion fruit or a very, very acidic peach (perhaps an intense nectarine), as the protagonist from start to finish, which covers everything else. I’m not sure if it convinces me as much…

  • Victoriussss

Beautiful fragrance, with a delicate coconut scent, leaving an incredible trail; it lasts many hours on the skin and can be felt on clothes for days; highly recommended.

  • Jesica La Roja

I agree with fachaadi. I tried this perfume and sensed a predominant tropical fruit aroma, like passion fruit or mango, although these fruity notes don’t appear listed here. For me, it’s a very clear Floral Fruity scent.

  • It has a complete aquatic air. It has a rare note that caused me to reject it. Let’s say it’s rich but not my style. The bottle is very eye-catching but very expensive for a 4-hour longevity.

  • Karen Campos

I wore this fragrance today because I thought it would be good for summer. I sensed a quite fruity-tropical opening, as if it were a combination of mango, a bit of pineapple, perhaps peach and a pinch of melon… something like that, a cocktail of summer fruits. In the dry-down, that scent settles, but a note of coconut begins to appear, fruity and very realistic, not at all synthetic or like sunscreen. This is the part I enjoy most about the aroma because I’m a coconut lover and appreciate its creaminess. Then I sense the sweetness of vanilla and that earthy point settling. I admit that the aquatic point accompanying that fruity cocktail, along with the coconut, vanilla and the earthy note, is always there, but it’s just that… a point, as I don’t like aquatic perfumes. Regarding longevity and intensity, I must say it has disappointed me a little. I have other JPGs and they are a BOMB on my skin, but this one hasn’t been like that. I’ve worn it for 3 hours and it feels quite weak and projecting only moderately. I’ll comment if it lasts my day, but I’m already thinking I should have brought a decant. It seems similar to Be Delicious Coconuts About Summer by DK but more fruity, and considering that one is an EDT.

  • VainillaDulce

This lovely perfume, being a Jean Paul Gaultier, seems so easy to wear; it’s not as strident and eye-catching as the brand’s fragrances usually are, embracing restraint here. La Belle Fleur Terrible seems like a beautiful floral bouquet with yellow tones and very tropical, aquatic brushstrokes. On the first spray, there’s a very natural coconut water note that can sometimes be confused with velvety fig, perfectly accompanied by sweet and tropical fruits, bathed in vanilla. A few minutes later, the striking flowers appear; undoubtedly the water lily shines, but for me, apart from light touches of jasmine, there are many yellow flowers that, as they blend into the skin, delicately turn powdery without suffocating or losing that touch of freshness; the water lily always asserts itself with its innate aquatic characteristic. This is a very juicy, radiant and positive perfume, not too formal, perfect for many occasions. Although it’s sweet, it’s not cloying; I think it’s ideal for spring and summer, with a longevity of about 6 hours on my skin and a trail from moderate to low.

  • Jean Paul Gaultier’s La Belle Fleur Terrible hits you hard from the first second: fresh, sensual, with that playful air of the house. For many, it’s the lightest and most ethereal version of the La Belle line, yet without losing the magnetism that makes it unique. On the olfactory map, it’s like a fresher, more aquatic cousin of the original, which is much denser and gourmand. Here the story changes: it’s a siren, not a forbidden garden temptress. Its opening is a burst of aquatic water lily and lily of the valley, clean and crystalline, like a blue sea breeze. Then powdery iris and soft vanilla notes emerge, rounding off the composition without losing its transparency. It’s a floral-aquatic scent that doesn’t fall into the generic: it has sweetness, but always controlled. If there’s a point to criticise, it’s that its lightness can work against it: those seeking something intense might find it too soft, and the bottle, though beautiful, is slightly misleading as it promises more power than it delivers. In my experience, the longevity is moderate. It projects with subtle force for the first two hours and then lingers as an intimate veil for about 6–7 hours on the skin. It’s perfect for warm days, but fades in the cold. Occasion: it shines in summer or spring, outdoors. Ideal for daytime dates, seaside walks, casual outings and bright offices. It’s not suitable for cold nights, very formal events or enclosed spaces where a strong impression is sought, as its character is more ethereal and delicate. Final verdict: 8/10. A delicious proposal for those who love aquatic scents with a sensual and feminine touch, without falling into the common. Worth it for La Belle collectors or lovers of fresh fragrances with a floral soul. If you’re looking for something in the same line but with more strength and longevity, Olympéa Aqua by Paco Rabanne could be an interesting alternative.

  • diegomagadan

This is pure femininity in perfume form. To me, it’s the best fragrance for a woman that exists. Intense notes, super floral and musky. The projection and longevity are top-notch. It’s a pity that, as often happens in the industry, they realised it was too good to keep selling. They quickly launched another version called ‘La Belle Paradise Garden’. The tin and bottle are identical, but the performance is a disaster.
