Nothing special; it smells like a generic catalogue. Kenzo only designed the bottle—the real perfumer from Avon is the one who actually signs off on these creations.
You can’t expect much from Avon; they’re cheap and the quality matches the price. I bought one four years ago, kept it, and when I opened it again, I remembered how much I loved it. If you catch it on offer, it’s worth it. Although there are similar scents now, back in the day, it was the first time I felt that sparkly, sweet note—I suppose a lily root mixed with quite a bit of pepper, which makes it unisex. Good bottle, good atomiser, lasts about six hours: projects well for two hours before settling close to the skin.
Citrusy, fresh, barely spiced, synthetic and very soft. To me, after ten minutes, it just smells like skin. No surprise; I see it as good for summer, but it’s pricey for what it offers. There are replicas with better scent and longevity.
An Avon surprise. Notes of pepper, cedar, Virginia juniper, violet, cypress and a hint of anise. I don’t detect the musk they claim, nor do I understand what they mean by it smelling like anything else—they should be more specific. It’s not spectacular (we’re talking Avon, please!), but it’s rich and easy to wear. Suitable for everything except very cold days. Good for over 25s, though it suits 15-year-olds too. Lasts about seven or eight hours, but the trail is moderate. The good: the presentation is luxurious, looks designer. Smells good without needing reapplication: projects a metre away for half an hour, then ten centimetres. Excellent value for money. The bad: poor trail; I prefer ones that shout ‘I’m here’. Avon has left me satisfied with this rich fragrance.
It smells to me just like any other. Kenzo could have done better.
A light woody aroma, slightly earthy but delicate. A rich, economical and good-quality fragrance that Kenzo brings to Avon. Worth it and highly recommended.
