It’s a fresher, lighter flanker than the original, perfect for hot weather. This is a musky, woody fougère with white woods; it opens with soft citrus and spices before quickly moving to an aromatic heart of rosemary and lavender. It then turns aquatic, as if green tea and an ambroxan touch were added, briefly reminding me of Silver Mountain Water but with its own style. It’s a fresh, very pleasant and reliable fragrance with good quality and price. Longevity is around 4 or 5 hours, a bit more close to the skin with a soft trail. I’m surprised they don’t mention the similarity to Bentley Azure; it’s basically the same in a different bottle, save for subtle nuances.

  2. I bought it blind and the first impression was typical of a cheap EDT that fades quickly. Days later, I tried it again and on skin it didn’t last more than three hours and barely projected. In short, for me it was a total fiasco. I won’t be buying again.

A pleasant fragrance that recalls Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch in the top notes; they share rosemary in the heart, but L’Insoumis Ma Force takes another path, with less wood and highlighting herbal sparkles and a faint amber memory. It’s an interesting alternative for less money and, with the new reformulations, it’s a risk-free bet. Projection is correct for the first two or three hours; in the middle of summer it lasted about six or seven hours, then settled close to the skin. Another quality is its versatility; it works in both warm and cool climates. Cheers.

  4. I was indeed surprised; I found a very wearable, versatile, fresh, and youthful citrus fougère, making it very easy to use. It is generic and similar to others, but it has the excellent quality that characterises Lalique. With a strong cardamom note at the start, it reminds me a lot of Roberto Verino’s Pure Intenso, and in some stages it slightly recalled Versace’s Eros Flame.

L’Insoumis Ma Force is an aromatic and woody fragrance with a slightly sweet base. Its scent is less unique than the original; one could say it’s a bit generic, but still very pleasant. To me, it reminds me of Van Cleef’s In New York, perhaps due to the handling of fruity notes with lavender, amber, and wood; they aren’t the same but share similarities. Compared to the original, this version is fresher, younger, and more versatile; I consider it usable all year round. Its longevity was over 8 hours with average projection. In short, it’s a simple and easy-to-please fragrance.
