Maiestis left me in two minds after four hours; what I say today may change with future tests, as the 2ml vial lasts only about four sprays. The opening is top-notch: I expected a fresh, powdery floral akin to Vitriol d’Oeillet by Serge Lutens or Confessions of a Garden Gnome by Fortnum & Mason, with soft flowers over a green bed. However, as it dries, everything changes radically: it becomes almost entirely woody, featuring a soft yet noticeable oud reminiscent of the dry-down of Bois d’Oud by Parfums de Marly, plus a subtle patchouli. Despite the oud, I see it as suitable for daytime wear—fresh and delicate. It is elegant but not overly intrusive. Longevity is good (over three hours without the scent shifting), though projection is very moderate, making it super versatile and wearable. It feels entirely unisex and a great option for those who want to try oud without the faecal or overly strong notes.
