  • The old Thierry Mugler fragrances were all about art, and this one is too. It’s a complete amber journey. The cardamom and coriander in the top notes, on my skin, are hardly noticeable. It’s a cosy, discreet amber, slightly sweet, with a very soft suede and a balanced, elegant oud base. A perfect potion for autumn, for everyday wear, with nothing more than to wrap you up like a beautiful silk scarf. Projection is moderate for the first four hours, then it stays close to the skin, but it’s very long-lasting; you can feel it in your movements for about eight hours. For an old Mugler, its projection is discreet, but it’s very pleasant; that mix of amber, suede and oud makes it sensual and attractive.

  • The old Thierry Mugler fragrances were all about art, and this one is too. It’s an amber journey from the very first second. The cardamom and coriander in the top notes are hardly noticeable on my skin. It’s a cosy, discreet amber, slightly sweet, with a very soft suede over a balanced, elegant oud base. A perfect potion for autumn, for everyday wear, with no ambition other than wrapping you up like a beautiful silk scarf. Projection is moderate for the first four hours, then it stays close to the skin, but it’s very long-lasting; you can feel it in your movements for about eight hours. For an old Mugler, its projection is quite discreet, but it’s a very pleasant fragrance; that mix of amber, suede and oud, its main notes, makes it sensual and attractive.

  • I woke up today to the ‘magic little mirror’ of its nap; the box is a top-quality mirror sarcophagus, and the heavy bottle with its metal cap remains flawless after three years, not a millimetre of wear. I know they come for the juice, but I couldn’t ignore packaging like this. The perfume opens with spiced jasmine over a bed of golden amber, then timidly the sleepy oud enters with orange blossom and suede, creating a harmonious unisex blend. I don’t recommend it blindly, but if you manage to grab one, you’re lucky as it’s discontinued. Don’t fear it becoming an uncontrollable ‘Mugler beast’; this oud behaves well and doesn’t overwhelm anyone. It shares some familiarity with the dry-down of Alien Oud Majestueux, but with better performance and projection. A little gem I’d find very hard to part with in my collection.
