I had low expectations because I hate banana with my whole soul, neither as food nor in perfume. But my inner voice said ‘try it just in case’ and what a surprise. It’s a shameless gourmand with a boozy and dark vibe, yet with a sweet, innocent touch. On my skin, the banana doesn’t dominate; it’s the cinnamon, the caramel, that rum with tonka bean that turns sweet and creamy and drives me wild. It’s a sexy, characterful gourmand, a total discovery.
I didn’t expect anything from Nanatopia as I hate bananas, full stop. But my head told me to try it, and what a surprise. It’s a bold gourmand with a boozy, dark edge, yet sweet and innocent. On my skin, the banana doesn’t win; instead, the cinnamon, caramel, and that rum with tonka bean note come forward, turning into a sweet, creamy rum that drives me mad. It’s a sexy, characterful gourmand, as I’d say. A total discovery.
It needs a chance; on my skin it’s cinnamon and rum. It reminds me hugely of Montale’s Honey Oud, very similar, but Nanatopia is more gourmet. Its trail and longevity are moderate.

I bought a decant and when I sprayed it, I thought I’d spilled rum on myself; the opening didn’t suit me as it was too rum-forward. Then the ripe banana emerged, which also didn’t convince me, but as it dried, everything blended into a pleasant sweetness. I think it’s a masculine, dark, dense scent, better for fresh weather. It didn’t disgust me, but it’s not for me.
It smells like rum with a hint of banana and something odd at the end that gives me nausea (could it be the Orcanox?). I can’t stand anything like this. If you haven’t tested it first, don’t buy it blindly.
