I always say you should try before you buy. I have a sample of L’Interdit and it’s clearly similar. It’s super nocturnal, makes a big impression, and I receive plenty of compliments ✨.

Yesterday in Buenos Aires the streets were being perfumed for Mother’s Day. A lovely girl offered me a sample and was very kind. What a beautiful aroma, I was surprised. It’s a warm classic vanilla scent that holds its own against the Lady Million lines. It’s interesting and potent; the raspberry and vanilla blend beautifully. As it evolves, the flowers emerge, the raspberry softens, leaving a supreme level of refinement. After three hours, the intensity drops and a foamy sandalwood remains on the skin (still with a hint of raspberry), lasting unchangingly for hours. I never thought something so affordable (50,000 pesos versus 300,000 for a D&G) could please me so much. I’ve read reviews and own the L’Interdit; they only resemble each other minimally in the dry-down, but they differ in evolution. There are marked differences; Onyx doesn’t remind me of the other, though I say this based on what I’ve read.

It’s strong but not overwhelming. On my skin, the patchouli stands out, with barely any raspberry or flowers. Outdoors, I smell it as citrusy and woody, and as it dries down, the patchouli, flowers, and raspberry appear; it’s very winter-appropriate. I live in great heat and it can definitely be overwhelming in summer or late spring. I think it’s for evening/night; I’m not sure about day because it’s strong, but it depends on every nose. I was looking for a winter perfume without vanilla or gourmand notes (they make me sick) and I loved it. I feel it’s elegant, everyday, nicely warm, and it keeps the chill away, 😅🤭

A very good imitation of L’Interdit. I haven’t tested them one by one, but without a doubt, it’s excellently achieved.

Out of all the L’Interdit dupes I’ve tried, this is my final choice. Perhaps there are better ones I haven’t tested, but I fell in love with this one. I must confess I own the Body Mist (which I don’t understand why isn’t listed here, as it’s excellent and has better persistence than the perfumes. For me, it’s exquisite, sweet, juicy, not cloying; you can tell it’s fruity, and when it dries down, it becomes talcum-like and vanilla-infused, an exquisite vanilla. Nothing but praise. I’ve bought it several times and will keep buying it; it must be among my perfumes, like a few others I love. If you like sweet, vanilla-infused, aldehydic scents with a fruity vanilla touch, this is yours. However, I insist, in my opinion, the body mist is much better, besides having more quantity, being more economical, and lasting longer. It’s not about price, but about longevity. There are many perfumes like this.

Very similar to L’Interdit, but not identical. It’s less deep and dries down slightly talcum-like. It’s a very good option; it lasts several hours on the skin, and I see it as a night fragrance or for going out.

I love neroli, so if it features them as protagonists, I’m already excited. I admit that the first time on a blotter, I didn’t like it; it reminded me of grape bubblegum. A year passed and I smelled it again: everything changed then; I felt those neroli notes wrapped in sandalwood and I loved it. It’s incredible how our perception changes over time; that’s why perfumes need several chances. In my case, Onyx was a clear example. It fixes very well for many hours. I feel it fresh, nocturnal, elegant, and slightly sweet. A 10 for María Cher, which proves its quality once again.

A lovely fragrance. As soon as you apply it, you catch a whiff of amberwood (my nightmare), but it dissipates quickly, giving way to white flowers sweetened by pear. Then a red fruit note emerges, adding complexity and elegance. It’s more of a night scent and shines in colder months. The dry-down reaches 40 minutes, with woods rounding off the aroma and tempering its sweetness. I think those who enjoy Poison will appreciate it. The projection is high at first but fades quickly, without being overwhelming or cloying. I’ll edit later regarding longevity. The scent is very good.

At first, it’s very rich; the top and heart notes are impeccable and the harmony captivates you. However, it doesn’t last long on my skin: after 3 or 4 hours, the base notes are barely noticeable, the orchid is non-existent, and the patchouli is minimal. Only the deep sandalwood remains, which wasn’t the ending I expected.

It is exactly like L’Interdit. A fresh pear combined with blood orange creates a beautiful, super-versatile fruity cocktail, which unfolds with prominent and sweet neroli and sandalwood without becoming cloying. It is elegant and sensual. The only criticism I have is the longevity: on my skin, it barely reaches 4 hours, and I wish it lasted longer.

I bought it at the end of 2022 and liked it a lot; it’s muuuuy similar to L’Interdit; in fact, it was the only one I took to the honeymoon and it reminds me of that 💖. I chose it because it wasn’t expensive and I didn’t fear breaking it, plus it’s versatile for day and night. But for months now, it feels STRANGE. I’ve seen comments about the Iris version and I think this one is heading down the same path; perhaps the ingredients aren’t of the best quality. It’s something to buy and finish, not to keep (a year is short for an import, but keep in mind with Cher).

It smells very good, in fact, it’s quite strong and brash with an explosion of sticky neroli and orange blossom. The downside is that on me it doesn’t last long, about 3 hours. If it resembles L’Interdit Eau de Parfum, it’s a sexy scent and more of a nightie♡🍸

It serves for day or night, though it can be overwhelming in the heat. Compared to L’Interdit, Cher Onyx is sweeter, almost like bubblegum, and the sandalwood is very present (sometimes the neroli smells like this), whereas L’Interdit is more ‘smoky’. After the first hour, they resemble each other greatly. It has moderate/high sillage and on my skin it lasts over 8 hours (it reached 12 hours close to the skin); its performance is excellent and totally recommended for the price. It’s not something to buy blindly and I don’t like it, but if you like it, it’s 100% worth it…
