  Oriental Sans Souci is a classic I’ve absolutely loved; unlike others in its style, it’s more subtle and balanced. It opens with a brief citrus burst before settling into an old dressing room scent, reminiscent of quality soap and an elegant woman. It strikes a fine balance between French fragrance and exotic, slightly animalic notes, very well crafted for its time. At the heart, that floral combo of jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang with a powdery touch, sitting over a base of patchouli and moss which linger on the skin for hours. It has moderate sillage and lasts more than 12 hours on my skin. While many call it unisex, for me it’s feminine, though I acknowledge that assigning gender to perfumes is subjective and depends on personal experiences. To some it may seem vintage, but for lovers of classic cuts it’s a delight. I’ve used it with pleasure and, like any scent that makes us vibrate, I believe it has a place in the modern world. Scent 8/10 Longevity 10/10 Sillage 7.5/10 Value for money 7/10 Packaging 6.5/10 Would I buy again? No, I haven’t purchased it.
