About Papillon D’Or
Papillon D'Or: Maison Alhambra's New Gourmand Floral
Maison Alhambra introduces Papillon D'Or, a women's fragrance arriving in 2026 with a floral, fruity, and gourmand character. This new addition is bound to appeal to those seeking a sweet yet refined scent with a warm, embracing trail.
The name evokes a golden butterfly, and the composition plays with luminous contrasts: a fresh citrus opening melts into a floral heart and a vanilla-anchored base that leaves a lasting impression.
The scent opens with exotic fruits and mandarin, a juicy accord that adds immediate zest. It is a lively opening, never harsh, with a subtle tartness that stirs the senses.
At the heart, orange blossom and peony reveal a white floral bouquet, elegant with a dusty, powdery softness, while vanilla begins to weave its sweetness into the blend. This is where the fragrance strikes a balance between floral and gourmand, avoiding any abrupt turn.
The base is built on vanilla, tonka bean, and ambroxan. That combination does the heavy lifting: vanilla contributes creaminess, tonka bean adds almond and tobacco facets, and ambroxan lends a woody, faintly salty foundation that keeps the scent going.
The primary accords echo the overall feel: fruity, sweet, white floral, citrus, and vanillic. There are also fresh, soapy nuances and a warm amber undertone, giving the fragrance a flexible character suited to daywear and evenings alike.
Holding an average score of 4.27 out of 5 from early reviews, Papillon D'Or looks set to become one of the year's most discussed launches. Maison Alhambra shows once again that rich perfume crafting doesn't have to come with a premium price tag.
It's designed for women who enjoy sweet, floral perfumes with a gourmand edge, particularly those who like a comfortable, easy-to-wear scent that never veers into sickly territory.
Papillon D'Or is a balanced, moreish creation, ideal for anyone after a feminine, bright perfume with real gourmand appeal. A butterfly definitely worth capturing.

It’s a very feminine perfume. It has a very well-balanced opening of exotic fruits. I loved smelling it on my wife’s skin. It’s a great blind buy!
