I tried it back in 2005 and it was a complete fiasco: it smells of nothing, has no projection, doesn’t last, and lacks style. It’s a generic green scent with bamboo that fades within two hours without leaving a trace. On top of that, the bottle is ugly, the cap doesn’t fit properly, and the grey box with green lettering makes you believe it’s something better than it actually is.
It’s a perfume that’s tricky to pin down. It starts citrusy with lemon, orange, and basil, giving that green, fresh summer feel without being another cologne. The problem lies in the base: it smells of heavy musk, like an old book or ambergris, with a hint of talc. It’s not bad, but it’s certainly not a masterpiece.
Bella Fragrances is a little-known gem. It smells deliciously of wet grass, has good longevity, and the price is incredible.
