A bit wary of this flanker as I’m not a fan of the original, but I’m currently bathing in this bomb; hands down one of the best things I’ve tried from Zara.
Excellent purchase as it smells the same (or better) than Red Temptation & Vanille at a better price and quantity. Initially, I thought I’d be overwhelmed by it in summer, but now it’s addictive and I find myself wanting to layer it with wild ideas. On the skin, it dries down to a rich vanilla with a hint of cocoa. It opens sweet, fresh and spicy, and as it dries, I enjoy that vanilla with cocoa and praline that I simply can’t stop smelling. It’s sweet and delicious yet retains the personality of the original in the background. It feels like a proper perfume masterpiece. Despite the 30-degree heat, I wear it without any issues. Edit: sometimes the dry down feels too dry, hard and woody, perhaps due to the amber or leather, and begs to be layered to boost that caramelised vanilla. The ideal combination is with Moonlight Whisper: better longevity and it keeps that delicious vanilla from Red Temptation intact. They blend into a complex, seductive scent. Another option: layer with Devotion, a wonder that has earned me compliments.
Great purchase; it smells as good, if not better, than the Red Temptation & Vanille Extrait at a better price and quantity. At first, I thought I’d be overwhelmed in summer, but now it’s addictive and I love mixing it with crazy ideas. It smells of vanilla with cocoa and praline, sweet and delicious, keeping the base of the original. It’s a proper bombshell; I enjoy it even at 30 degrees. Edit: sometimes the dry-down is very dry, hard and woody, perhaps due to the amber or leather, and it begs to be combined with something sweet. The ideal mix is with Moonlight Whisper: more longevity and that delicious vanilla. Another option is Devotion, a wonder that has brought compliments.
What I smell most is tonka bean and lots of leather; sometimes it smells like sweaty leather. To be honest, the tonka bean smells great, but the leather makes me gag. A bit disappointing, but since I bought 30ml, I’ll surely sell it on Vinted.
The vanilla is delicious and addictive. On my skin, it becomes caramelised with a toasted touch and lasts quite a while. Perhaps it’s like the Red Temptation & Vanille; this flanker is a wonder.
The vanilla in this perfume is exquisite. It’s addictive; on my skin, it dries down to a caramelised vanilla with a toasted note and the longevity is quite good. I’m not sure if it’s like the Red Temptation & Vanille, which I haven’t tried yet, but this flanker is a wonder.
It’s one of Zara’s best; I want it forever. These fragrances drive me mad: addictive, sensual, warm and powerful. They seem niche, making me think of a femme fatale in a red dress in a classic London bar.
One of the best from Zara, definitely forever. I enjoy all kinds of fragrances depending on the occasion, but this type of scent drives me crazy: addictive, sensual, warm, powerful, elegant, a delight. You’d easily think it was niche. It makes me think of a femme fatale, fully dressed and made up, perhaps in a dark red dress, ready for a classic, elegant bar in London.
Personally, it doesn’t grab me. On my skin, it smells like BR540, with no hint of sweetness or vanilla.
Personally, I’m not thrilled by it. On my skin it smells basically like BR540, with zero trace of sweetness or vanilla.
I tried it in a shop and it was delicious. It reminded me of Lattafa’s Eclaire. It smells pure of vanilla and caramel.
It smells of vanilla, but there’s nothing special about it. Not even a trace of caramel, to be honest.
At first, it reminds me a bit of the old Bvlgari Black, then it softens and smells of vanilla with spices. It’s not bad and lasts quite a while.
I liked it when I tried it and bought it straight away, but wearing it at home makes me gag; it smells like my grandmother. The longevity is eternal, yet once it dries down, it reverts to that old-lady scent. Sometimes I mix it with sweet vanillas to help it last, but in the end, it still smells like my grandmother.
I bought it because someone else loved it, but it doesn’t convince me. I detect a note of tonka bean or something hidden that smells like sweat. The longevity is brutal, better than many designer perfumes, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
