I’ve never tolerated perfumes that smell of just one thing, like rose, but this one broke my rule. The rose scent dominates and I love it, perhaps due to the quality of the flowers. I’ve been wanting a Rock n’ Rose for years; my favourite is the Couture, but I can’t find any in stores or online. It’s heartbreaking; I think they no longer manufacture them.

  • It’s true that it’s hard to come by; its stronghold is Europe. In all the big or small Valentino perfume stores, they tell me they don’t have the brand. But I love this perfume; there’s nothing to criticise. I just don’t want it to run out; it’s a unique aroma, slightly sweet with precious notes. And the bottle, the only one!

  • It’s true that finding these perfumes from the Mariana range is difficult; their main trade is in Europe. In every shop, big or small, that I’ve asked about Valentino perfumes, they tell me they don’t stock that brand. But I love this perfume; there’s nothing negative to say, only that I don’t want it to run out. Unique aroma, slightly sweet with other precious notes. And the bottle, oh my goodness, it’s stunning!

It’s very me. It was love at first sniff. It has everything that makes a perfume appeal to me: a touch of rose, feminine, vibrant, flirty, rebellious… and it lasts.

It’s so me. It was love at first sniff. It has everything I’m looking for: roses, feminine, vibrant, flirtatious, rebellious and, most importantly, it lasts a long time.

  • I was gifted this perfume three years ago and still have it. The rose blend isn’t really my thing; I usually prefer caramelised and oriental notes. However, I liked it just the same and have used it a lot. It’s fresh and appropriate for any occasion, though I prefer it in the morning. One question: has the fragrance changed over time? Lately, I notice a sweeter, more sugary floral note and it doesn’t please me as much as it did at first. Is it just my imagination, or has my sense of smell changed? Does anyone else experience this? Thanks.

  • Roses and Gardenia in industrial quantities… I couldn’t stand it from the very first minute; the scent was utterly unpleasant and overwhelming. I like Valentino fragrances, but this one, absolutely not.

  • Full on rose and gardenia… I couldn’t stand it for a minute; the smell was terrible and suffocating. I love Valentino fragrances, but this is a resounding no.

It’s a bombshell of roses. On my skin, it transforms into caramel; I remember it very strongly, ideal for autumn or winter.

  • charlotinable

It’s a delight and a work of art that transports you to elegant sensuality. It’s almost impossible to find now, but I must get one.

Roses weren’t my thing, and this perfume is hundreds of them in a bottle. It didn’t displease me, but I felt it wasn’t right for my personality back then. Very strong to my nose, like crushed dried roses.

  • MissOlores

Valentino Rock’n Rose is a beauty. It smells tender, innocent, and soft, like a powder-puff rose cream. Nothing invasive. My only drawback is that it doesn’t last long on the skin; after two hours, it’s gone, what a pity.

  • I found this in my mother-in-law’s dressing room and was given permission to try it. It’s a classic, delicate floral splash that becomes tender with time. It reminded me of another scent I knew; I kept comparing it until I found the dupe at home: Forever Elizabeth Taylor. As in that other review, it smells of ‘mum’ and maternal warmth. This Valentino version has more quality and elegance, but if you like the other, you’ll surely love this one too.
