I bought Royal Mayfair blindly because I am a lover of eucalyptus. Upon spraying, it is an olfactory cross of common notes: rose with a strange citrus accord, wood, eucalyptus, and gin. This gives a bitter spirit to the rose and eucalyptus, generating an impression similar to a non-sweet ginger ale tonic with a strong floral mirage. In the early dry-down, I feel it is saturated, the least good phase. But upon application, it reveals its beauty. It is not sexy or trendy; it is sober with Mediterranean hints, feminine and masculine in moments. Suitable for all four seasons, robust and perfect for daytime. In short, it has great class; the ginger ale scent is comforting and tonic, adding a aura of luminous cleanliness with a slight feminine inclination. Ingredient quality is 100%. On my skin it lasts 8 hours with excellent projection for the first 3 hours and reactivates according to temperature.

It is English elegance and class in a bottle. If I swallow the story that it smells like royalty, then it does: a green, dusty, woody opening, as if stuck to a pine tree or a bottle of Tanqueray. The gin note is exquisite and intoxicating. Once it dries, the magic begins: surely it contains grey amber, that scent of a rose field with a summer breeze and a semi-bitter base like Millésime Imperial and Bois du Portugal. The rose and woods are linear, but it screams money, power, and distinction. To untrained noses it may smell like a wealthy old lady, but then it is a masterpiece. Batch 2016 lasts 8-10 hours on skin and up to 48 hours on clothes. The trail is very notable. It seems discontinued due to the eucalyptus; if you can get it, do so before the price rises like Aventus. For me, it’s a 9/10.

One of the most interesting perfumes from Creed. It opens strangely with an alcoholic note (gin) that is not very pleasant. It evolves into a white floral with very faint, muted woody and earthy nuances; it lacks body and definition here. If we use our imagination, you can detect the pine and eucalyptus. The final phase is the best: clean, soapy white floral, very unisex and comfortable, addictive and well-executed. Surprisingly, I haven’t smelled rose in any phase; it leans more towards jasmine. Review of a 120ml bottle; now it seems reformulated to 100ml. Performance is good for a Creed: perhaps 6 hours or more, with a moderate trail. The price, as always, is disproportionate.

What a beautiful fragrance. The opening might initially shock some (it smells a bit like a dentist’s office…), but you must let it evolve; that’s where the true magic of its ingredients—all of high quality—comes to the fore. A unique, fresh, and well-blended eucalyptus is its standout note; I detect a rose accompanying it subtly yet with great elegance. Its evolution and development are truly wonderful. On my skin, the longevity was over eight hours (with just three sprays), with the projection lasting around four hours. A quality fragrance to enjoy. So far, among the Creeds I’ve tried (Adventus and Cologne), Mayfair is my favourite.

What a beautiful fragrance. The opening might scare more than one person (it smells like a dentist’s office), but you must let it evolve to see the magic of its quality components. The eucalyptus is unique, fresh, and aromatic, with a subtle, elegant rose. The evolution is a wonder. It lasted over 8 hours on my skin with just three sprays and projection around 4 hours. A quality fragrance to enjoy. Of the Creeds I’ve tried (Aventus and Cologne), Mayfair is my favourite.

The opening is sharp and can be alarming if you dislike pine and eucalyptus. The magic happens during the dry-down: a fine, brilliant ensemble. It’s ideal for changeable days. You must apply it without fear as the projection is weak (though the opening is strong). A new version has already been released; we shall see the differences. Important: test on skin; smelling the opening alone is not enough.

I bought this to confirm my suspicions: as a Creed fan, Royal Mayfair is the most interesting scent I’ve tried. The opening can be aggressive, bitter, or even unpleasant for some, but the floral heart and aromatic wood base are formidable. It has beastly potency with moderate projection; ideally, it should caress rather than hit. I will definitely buy this someday.

Fantastic Creed combination with an opening of eucalyptus, pine, and rose. It evolves little towards a comfortable, fine, and classy woody floral dry-down. I get the impression that the residual scent smells like narcotic ylang or fine jasmine that envelops you. For daytime use and very unisex. I have loved it. Rating: 9.

@SebaaRTX Grey amber does not smell like faeces, and natural grey amber is rarely used. Chromatography analyses of Creed perfumes show they use ambroxan, not grey amber. The faecal nuances come from undeclared white flowers or perhaps eucalyptus.
