There are two versions: one with a wooden box and a brick-red bottle, the other with a standard box and a grey smoke bottle. I tried mixing the 30ml of the first generation with my grey bottle and noticed no difference whatsoever. RSVP opens with a spiced-woody and herbal air, with citrus edges where an acidic pepper is perfumed with orchid, giving a floral twist to a sweet bergamot. Everything has a semi-adult, refined, and executive character thanks to the vetiver and cashmere; hence its classic feel that opens up a range of uses. It works at any time and for any event with a unique masculine style, very popular in the first decade of the 2000s. Its performance is excellent, with medium-to-high projection depending on how you apply it. Ideal for both cold and summer (just moderate the hand). It was a hit in North America and a great contribution to the masculine world. Besides, it’s cheap and still available in Mexico. Don’t miss it if you like classic woods and a masculine focus.

A LOST MASTERPIECE That is how I describe it: a fragrance lost in the history of perfumery. I have had it since 2007, my tester version that I wore in my teens without giving it a second thought, but at 27 I see the true work of art that it is. On opening, a hit of high-quality woods and flowers with supreme elegance; the orchid scent is noticeable quickly, with woods and powdery touches of violet and musk that give it class. Then comes the combination of lavender and grapefruit, dry yet clean, alongside a cashmere that commands attention. The longevity is good: wearing it for 14 years, I get between 7 and 8 hours with 2 hours of projection. The only problem is that it is discontinued and no longer available; there is a grey bottle version but it is not the same. Without a doubt, a tremendous mistake to discontinue something of this quality.

Once the perfume settles on the skin, the scent is a vetiver intermingled with a very soft and woody citrus. It is a very masculine fragrance and, although it soon stays close to the skin, I consider it excellent.

Probably the best contemporary men’s cologne on the market. Why? Because its original presentation, Salvaje, hints at the juice within. There are no pretences here, only virility, manliness and seduction. I won’t describe the ingredients, but rather what it tells you: to the gentlemen who haven’t tried it, take the plunge. To the ladies who wish to know the scent of a dashing seducer, take note: if you aren’t with your dashing gentleman, don’t let him wear it without you. It is definitively a cologne that attracts, seduces and wins you over. The only complaint is that it isn’t very long-lasting, but that quality speaks to the character of the type of man it is made for.
