  • I let myself be swept up by the TikTok hype and bought Glossier You without a second thought. It’s said to smell like you—clean and molecular, with notes of pink pepper and ambrette. But for me, it’s an adventure: it smells like water, swimming pools, an iron, and that warm steam from the laundry room in winter. My sister noticed it as lettuce with iodine, and my mum called it dried potpourri; everyone agrees on that aquatic, hygienic sensation. It doesn’t smell like Santal 33 or Ariana Grande, and although I didn’t pick up any florals, the longevity is excellent, lasting over 10 hours. It leaves me feeling clean and accompanied, super versatile and with personality. Perhaps I need to create new memories to love it more, but it’s peculiar and highly recommended to try it on skin. I’m already obsessed.

  • I stumbled upon the opportunity to buy a Glossier You and did it without thinking about pros or cons. I blame TikTok for the hype. Now I have it and I feel ‘influenced’. It’s supposed to be that perfume that ‘smells like you’, molecular, clean, and with low projection. Their website says it opens with pink pepper and has ambrette and white flowers. My experience has been an adventure. Definitely not usual. My first impression was: ‘I’ve heard this scent before’ followed by a cascade of memories from my swimming lessons. To me, it smells like the concept of water, a bright, blue, clean place, a liminal space. I perceive the chlorine from pools, the steam from an iron, or the smell of the laundry room at home with cold outside and heat inside. It’s very strange! My sister tried it and smelled lettuce with iodine; my mum said dried potpourri and shampoo. All these images fit within the semantic field of ‘water’. Places with lots of water, bathrooms, cleaning, hydroponic vegetables… Then I wonder if it smells like water to me because I’m a Pisces. I can smell the musk and at first the pink pepper, but the notes don’t help unravel the mystery. It’s not a scent that displeases, but it depends on your memories. Perfume is always evocative! It doesn’t resemble Santal 33 or Ariana Grande perfumes either. I don’t perceive flowers; it’s more watery than anything. The longevity is good; although designed without sillage, it lasts me over 10 hours. I feel clean and accompanied. Super versatile, definitely a signature scent. Perhaps I should allow it to form new memories to like it more, but generally it’s not a bad perfume, just peculiar. I do widely recommend testing on skin before buying. Edit: I have miserably fallen into its claws. I’m obsessed. It’s beautiful.

  • Clean and aquatic at the same time. It smells clean, soft, and unisex. It projects very little; you only feel it on the skin even if you’ve just applied it. I don’t sense the floral note; for me, it smells more like talcum powder than anything. I’ve tried it several times at Sephora and think I’d buy it to be at home and relax, as it’s a perfume you probably only you will smell.

  • Talcum-powdery and watery at the same time. It’s a clean, soft, unisex scent. Projection is very low; I only smell it close to the skin even when I’ve just applied it. I don’t detect the floral note; to me, it’s more talcum-powdery than anything. I’ve tried it several times at Sephora and I think I would buy it. Perfect for staying at home and relaxing; it’s a perfume you probably only smell yourself.

  • It’s the first blind buy I’ve made with a slightly higher price tag, but I was so eager to try it that I was almost sure I’d like it, and luckily I wasn’t wrong. So far, it’s the only ‘molecular’ type that has won me over well. Glossier You smells like slightly chlorinated water (which I love), iris, and musk, all very subtle. It’s zero-invasive but leaves a mark. At times it seems like it smells like nothing, but you feel it for hours, as if it appears and disappears; when you think it’s gone, it returns. Very curious. Recommended for iris and musk fans; I don’t think it will disappoint. It’s close to the skin, but pretty.

  • It’s my first blind buy of a molecular perfume and it was worth it. It smells of slightly chlorinated water, iris, and musk, all very subtle. It’s zero-invasive yet leaves a mark; sometimes it seems to smell like nothing and then reappears hours later, which is very curious. I recommend it to iris and musk fans; it doesn’t disappoint. It’s a skin scent, but beautiful.

  • My friend has it and I love it. It’s a very indescribable scent, but I’m sure most people will like it. The only downside is that there’s very little product in the bottle…

  • Gretakinngard

I love its scent! It’s super feminine and smells clean. It seems quite similar to God is a Woman, just more refined. I’ve been using it for five years and people always tell me I smell good.

  • Mademoiselle

The Delicacy aroma is ethereal and fine. To me, it smells totally of musk, so delicate it feels like a second skin. It smells clean, as if you’ve just bathed with a fine iris soap and are left with a touch of talcum powder. It’s a beauty. But for me, it doesn’t work, as its sillage is personal and sometimes disappears completely until a movement or a breeze brings it back. I prefer stronger perfumes and feeling them all the time. I recommend it for those seeking soft scents or who don’t want anything ostentatious.

  • I only detect an iris-type makeup scent, beautiful. If you like Dior Homme Intense, this is one without cocoa. It’s a subtle scent but it leaves a mark.

  • At first, smelling a decant, I thought it was ‘meh’, but with so many good reviews I didn’t want to rule it out. I went to Sephora, tried it on my wrist, liked it but didn’t love it, and kept wanting it. Six months later, I returned to the store, tried it again, and liked it, so I bought it. WOW! It’s not the same as a little spritz; applying it properly and feeling it all day is different. It lasted my entire workday and colleagues said it smelled lovely. It’s soft, clean, a ‘natural’ aroma; it doesn’t smell like anything specific but it smells good. I recommend it for those days when you want to feel clean and leave a good scent on others.

  • Glossier You review after a week: my expectations were low and what a surprise! It transports me back to the 90s and 2000s. The first spray made me feel like I was dancing with S Club 7, fresh and youthful, followed by that scent of ‘waiting for yellow flowers’ which never quite arrived. But yes, I loved the notebook-paper smell where I used to write Westlife songs. Then came the teenage romance, like Lizzie McGuire in Rome; lovely, but it didn’t last long. It doesn’t last long on my skin, but it holds its own. The scent is delicious. Sorry for the personal references, that’s what it conveys to me and I wanted to share.

  • I expected a soft talcum-like fragrance and found something that smells tremendously masculine on my skin. I sense a dirty, strong, and heavy iris. Ugh, the opening didn’t suit me at all. In the dry-down, it becomes softer, something like Prada Infusion d’Iris, very similar. But it doesn’t tell me anything special.

  • I was looking for something soft and talcum-powdery, but instead I found something super masculine. I detect a dirty, strong, heavy iris. Ugh, the opening didn’t suit me at all. Once it dries down, it becomes softer, almost identical to Prada’s Infusion d’Iris on my skin, but it doesn’t say anything special to me.

At first application I thought it was herbal, then raspberry and subtle, evolving into a herbal iris with a sweet touch that makes me feel elegant. It’s sophisticated, has sillage but little projection, very intimate and recommended. It has that 90s air that I love.

  • verdepensativo

Upon application, I sensed it as herbal, then raspberry-like and subtle. It evolved into a herbal iris with a sweet touch that made me feel very elegant. It’s sophisticated, has sillage but little trail. It’s intimate and you smell it on yourself for hours. Recommended; it has a 90s vibe.

  • Agree with everyone: it smells of soap with iris, powdery and very 90s/2000s. Soft, unobtrusive and lovely, though not very present. Scent 9/10, projection and longevity 8/10.

  • VirginiaCabello

Very elegant with a strong 90s vibe. It didn’t last long on my skin, but people have told me the iris is very prominent, giving it a chic touch.

What a rich aroma, uff… quite peculiar and special; women have always killed me with it. It smells like water with a subtle cleaner, or chlorine, perhaps sanitiser with delicate musk and iris. Actually, it’s zero invasive, but very memorable and not sweet at all. I suppose it’s an acquired taste, because in its molecular composition it tends to disappear and then return. I’ve felt it firsthand on two or three girls in the course of my still young adult life; the last time I could smell it was in intimacy and I couldn’t resist asking what that fine, delicate, and clean aroma was. I don’t know, maybe it’s also some nostalgic factor since I’m the youngest of my family with three older sisters, and I remember hearing something like this in my childhood or adolescence; I find a very vintage touch, perhaps from the eras that remind me of boybands like Five, Westlife, or even NSync, with whom my sisters were obsessed and who wore or perfumed themselves alongside. I can easily compare it to an ultra-delicate iris bar soap, which for me denotes natural female beauty at its full splendour without being loud or overwhelming like some very loud or invasive trends of the last era. This is my fourth review of a supposedly feminine-cut perfume, although the site says it’s totally unisex and I believe it even more today; it could easily be compared to a slightly cheaper fragrance from lines like Dior for men that are based on that slightly more marked iris. Honestly, I’m a total fanboy of this scent in a lady.

  • GreciaDaniela14

My first review because I don’t understand what’s going on with me. Reading the notes, I imagined it delicate and feminine, but on my skin it smells like aged whisky in a wooden barrel. Spot on.

  • Smells of chlorine, sea salt and iodine; no florals or gourmands here. It’s synthetic, cold and clean like the metal on a roadside bar, yet surprisingly cosy. Highly addictive and versatile for day wear, though the longevity is ridiculous: it vanishes in half an hour. A shame for such a forward-thinking and hard-to-find fragrance.

What a rich and peculiar aroma; it kills me in a woman. It smells like water with a hint of cleaner or chlorine, mixed with delicate musk and iris. It’s not invasive, memorable, and nothing sweet. I suppose it’s an acquired taste, as it tends to disappear and return. I’ve sensed it on several girls, and the last time I wondered what was so fine and clean. Perhaps it’s nostalgia; I recall something similar from my childhood and it evokes 90s boybands like Five or NSYNC. It’s like an ultra-delicate iris soap that denotes natural beauty without being loud. Although the brand says it’s unisex, I see it as such today, comparable to mid-range male fragrances with a marked iris. I’m a total fanboy of this aroma in a woman.

  • Daniela Fragance

It’s a perfume of its own, but you have to give it time: at first it smells like nothing; you have to let it settle. After a few minutes, it reminds me 50% of Juliette Has a Gun and 50% of Nina Ricci’s Ricci Ricci. On my skin, it’s sweet and intimate, as if you’d just had a shower with purple flower soap; when you smell your skin, you feel cleanliness, something milky, and like fresh towels straight from the dryer. I don’t like the Juliette one because it smells like it’s missing something; it doesn’t smell like a perfume as its name suggests, but this You smells like its complement, less synthetic. It’s one of those perfumes where if you smell it on someone else, you’re left wondering what perfume it is; it has something mysterious and sensual.

  • It’s a perfume that leaves you with your head spinning at first, difficult to define. If you were born in the 90s or 2000s, it smells like what kindergartens or primary schools used to smell: not cleaners, but the whole lot, from felt decorations and crayons to the products children and teachers used, the wood of the benches. It gives nostalgia, but at the same time it’s sexy; it’s a mix of sensuality, tenderness, and nostalgia, as if the 90s-00s had their own scent. It’s like Another 13 but more playful, tender, and young. At first it seems unisex-feminine, but for those starting out with unisex scents, once you get used to it, you realise it’s truly unisex. It gives off the vibe of someone with good style, living in New York, who likes animals, wears a Yankees cap, and makes a basic outfit like a white t-shirt and blue jeans look incredible. If this perfume were a song, it would be ‘Put Your Records On’ by Corinne.

  • If Musk brought it to life, he certainly did a good job. You is exactly that, but the perfume’s gift. The pink pepper really stands out. I don’t see the nineties vibe, perhaps it’s the pepper giving that impression; back then, perfumes tended to be more spiced and animalic. Some people also smell paper, notebooks, or even ink in it, which is a bit of a stretch for a scent description but necessary for them to describe something similar. For me, this is subtle makeup accentuated by pepper, giving a flirtatious nuance to that cleanliness, a wink, something cheeky and spicy, yet very abstract or minimalist that will make innocent noses ask ‘what does it smell like?’ and make them think for an extra few seconds. It also has that something I only find in l’Imperatrice and here, a chemical note I can’t explain but which is totally addictive for me; it’s an unlisted note I’d describe as refreshing or solar, making you smile, lifting your mood without being ‘cheerful’; it’s something chemical. Finally, I’d add that it’s very lightly sweet (which I find ultimately charming) but not sugary, rather ethereal and subliminal, as it’s nothing gourmand. 🌬️✨

One of the ugliest perfumes I’ve ever tried; I don’t understand the hype they have. It smells like public bathhouse deodorant.
