  This is a neroli whose greatest virtue is its aromatic quality: a bright, fresh opening reminiscent of classic Mediterranean cologne, very beautiful, which then softens to give prominence to a gentle, delicate neroli, polished by an undeclared but present benzoin and a coumarin with a delicious, subtle sweetness. It uses the highest quality neroli essence, from Tunisia; more in the style of Ferrari Bright Neroli than TF Neroli Portofino or Bvlgari Wood Neroli, yet of a quality that fills the lungs with pleasure. All thanks to top ingredients like an orange blossom absolute and a first-class natural essence. From there, it’s beautifully linear. Once you’ve smelled a neroli like this, it’s hard to return to designer scents, however good they may be. It’s spring-like and above all summery, perfect for beach holidays and daytime use without fear of the heat; its softness feels more like sunscreen (without being creamy) than an alcoholic perfume (you can’t tell at all). As a good eau de parfum (23% essence), it has moderate but persistent projection, especially on clothes. Longevity is good on skin, 5-6 hours; it doesn’t project much, but I think that fits its DNA of personal enjoyment without bothering anyone. If Chopard Neroli a le Cardamomo de Guatemala is the super-elegant neroli for day and night, and Kobe is the elegant, woody winter option, this one, different from both, is for morning and afternoon by the beach, with its own elegance and cleanliness. Priced at 150-195€ for 100ml, that’s where it should be compared. Totally unisex. If you love neroli, you won’t find many better; it’s not particularly innovative, but certainly highly enjoyable.

  I agree 100%: it’s a top-quality neroli, and after trying it, designer scents fall short by comparison. Atkinsons was acquired by an Italian brand which relaunched it; I wonder if that explains the quality and craftsmanship of these classic Italian colognes. The longevity is more than acceptable, lasting around 5-6 hours. Is the price worth it? In my opinion, yes, if you don’t already own a quality neroli and enjoy something natural for solitary enjoyment.
