  A deathly aromatic, black and smoky, with a hint of caramel and flowers I didn’t ask for. Amber Empire is a top-tier example of amber, though it’s not pure amber until the base; warm tea dominates. It opens with rain-soaked citrus and soft tea, while light florals push it from unisex to feminine. Over time, a distinguished aura unfolds: florals and smoky notes alternate and repeat. A radiant creaminess emerges; the rose adds sweetness to the moderate darkness of the amber. Later, it becomes slightly resinous, with resins just above the threshold, adding a rough volume to the blend. The vibe is warm and cosy from start to finish. I like the concept, but if the longevity is decent, the sillage could be better. You have to spray a lot to feel it; it seems some fragrances with great potential only work in homeopathic doses. Anyway, it’s cosy, mature and elegant; let’s see if the performance improves on colder days.
