I have a sample of this fragrance from the Loewe family, all intensely spiced and exotic. This sport isn’t different, perhaps just fresher. It opens with an intense, sharp tangerine, followed by a creamy, soapy, amber aura. As it dries down, the spiced body of rosemary and lavender emerges, closing with moss and a soft patchouli. Rosemary is the star: elegant, versatile, very soft, and very Loewe. Unfortunately, it doesn’t suit me.
I found it to be a good fresh take on the original Sólo, retaining much of the essence of the first edition. The difference: it starts very citrusy before taking a classic-herbal turn thanks to the lavender and rosemary, finishing with the aroma of the original version. I liked it and it lasted over 8 hours, which is a lot for a sport fragrance. Of all the Loewe sport versions I’ve tried, this and Loewe 7 Sport are the best, surpassing the Essence Sport. It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s not bad at all.
The opening is an intense, spicy, slightly synthetic tangerine for 15-30 minutes. Then the projection drops to herbal and amber tones, very relaxing and mature on the skin. It shines in summer and lasts up to 8 hours. It’s like a halfway house between Allure Homme Sport and Chanel’s Ed. Blanché: it has that classic style without the cloying sweetness of Blanché. The citrus notes are stronger than in Essence Sport. Perfect for the office or nights out with friends. Loewe is expensive, but there are options with better performance for less money.
I tried several perfumes from Loewe’s ‘SÓLO’ line, and this ‘Sólo Loewe Sport’ is the only one I truly liked. It smells almost identical to the original but fresher and more citrusy. I love that intense tangerine opening; it’s addictive. Then it settles into a soft herbal scent before transitioning to the classic base of Sólo. Ideal for any occasion.
I was gifted a 1.5ml sample of Sólo Loewe Sport and wore it to my graduation at a luxury hotel. It smells of sweet, fresh tangerine, very similar to Clinique’s Happy. People told me it smelled fantastic, but the brand is so pricey here, so I stuck with 360 Red P.E., which smells the same at the top 💙👌
