I used this in my third year of high school back in ’97, and I remember it vividly because my boyfriend at the time (my classmate) went absolutely wild for it; he used to chase me just to smell it, and we’d always get teased about it. If they bring it back, I’d be more than happy to wear it again, especially in summer. In fact, I’ve been looking for something similar and haven’t been able to find it.
What a pity it’s been discontinued; it made me feel fantastic with those aquatic, ozonic and soft notes. I didn’t mind it didn’t last long because it was so special. I agree with the previous comments: I wish it weren’t out of production. Gavajessi said he saw it years ago, but I haven’t seen it for ages. If anyone knows if it’s still available or can recommend something that reminds you of it, that would be brilliant. EDIT: @Ícara, thanks, it’s true that L’Eau d’Issey has a lot in common, but I was so desperate to smell it again that I tracked one down privately. What joy to have it back; it’s my favourite aquatic even though there are better ones objectively, here I let my heart lead me 💙

@Del86, try L’eau d’Issey; among those available, it’s probably the closest match. As La DameDeNoir mentioned, Thaïs was essentially an affordable alternative to that fragrance. My sister used it a lot, and recently I tried L’eau d’Issey and was surprised by how similar it was. Without Thaïs to compare, it sounded just like the memory I kept. If it doesn’t suit you, you can still find second-hand bottles on Wallapop.
Thaïs is a brutal cologne; I used it in the ’90s and everyone asked me what I was wearing. It’s a shame I can’t find it here in Chile, but I see Gavajessi says it’s easy to buy in Spain. Is it still like that? And is Estivalia the same thing? I don’t know the other versions, but if they’re by Puig, they’re surely good. I hope someone can clarify this for me.
It’s a lovely floral cologne; you can even find it in Spanish supermarkets. It shocks me that Puig has perfumes at different price points but they’re all high quality, just like with Thaïs.
