  • It came in a pack with the Rich Warm Addictive, which I do give a better rating to. This one, however, smells of apple to me and has very poor longevity and trail. I will use it as a perfume for everyday when I have nothing important to do, and see if it wears out quickly and stops taking up space.

Excellent aroma, almost identical to 212 VIP, with spectacular longevity on my skin, superior to 10 hours, and a moderate trail. The opening notes are a little sweet, but the interesting part is the dry down: a rich, spicy, peppery scent, a bit dark but not too much. For the price, it is well worth it.

  • I have the new 2021 Collection version. Yes, it has an air of CH 212 VIP. It smells with quite a bit of quality for its price. Always use it in cold weather. It allows for over-application because you won’t end up smelling like your sibling, the Rich Warm. It lasts about 5-6 hours. Projection is normal, leaning towards low. Ideal for the office in winter. Trail is normal. Recommended to buy the pack with the Rich Warm. EDIT 2025: they are no longer worth it, 2.5/10.

  • I bought it in 2022 alongside its sibling in a box. It inherits a hint of vanilla, but much more subtle, making this fragrance far less sweet. At first, it may seem generic, but as it dries down, it surprises: the sweetness becomes relaxed, mixed with shy green and refreshing notes that mature into very blended fruity notes (apple and cherry) resting on a vanilla base that ends up sleeping on a musky, soapy cushion. The trail and longevity are good for the price. The major mistake is that it comes in a box with a heavy hitter from Zara. But on its own, it has unique personality: elegant, relaxed, and fun. Highly recommended.

It begins with a delicious green apple note, but that’s where it stops. There is only the opening, nothing more. It lasts a mere breath, vanishes like the wind, and doesn’t even leave the sweetness of the tonka bean behind. I’ve used perfumes that last a short while but still manage to reach eight hours; this one won’t even last if you empty the bottle. On my skin, the performance is almost miserable (unlike its sibling, Rich Warm Addictive); it doesn’t last two hours. As the song says, it’s gone. If you are going to buy it, test it first. Better yet, buy the one that comes in the same box (RWA) in 150ml.

  • Tonka bean, tonka bean, and more tonka bean. Yes, it smells nice, but there is nothing else to it. In my opinion, it is a completely dispensable fragrance.

  • What a lovely surprise! I picked this up in a pack with the Rich Warm Addictive during the 2022 Black Friday sale here in Spain. It opens with a fresh apple note that later reveals tonka bean and a spicy touch. You have to press your nose right against it to catch the scent properly. The trail and projection are almost non-existent, but the aroma itself is rich.

  • Good perfume, feels high quality, it’s identical to 212 VIP, and it lasts quite a bit for me, between 7-8 hours.

I bought this fragrance along with its sibling, the Rich Warm Addictive, something less than a year ago. I remember first wearing it in mid-April; I thought it was a generic aroma with shockingly poor longevity: I sprayed 12-15 times and it lasted literally 20 minutes before becoming skin-scent and disappearing completely after an hour. ‘A complete joke of bad taste’, I thought, ‘even at this price’. The case is that I put it away and didn’t take it out again until two months ago: in mid-October I decided to give it another chance and, tremendously surprised, discovered a fragrance radically different from the one I had found months earlier. A more formed, dense, and infinitely more potent scent. Now I use it almost daily to go to work and I love it; I feel it like a sort of dark version of the classic Boss Bottled. It seems that the need for maceration in some fragrances is a reality in far more occasions than we believe… Highly recommended.

Exquisite fresh and sweet perfume. The Tobacco Collection Intense-Dark-Exclusive series is the opposite of Rich Warm, which is super creamy and sweet. This one is fresh with sweet notes and can be worn in the heat. The longevity is ufff: perfumes don’t last long on me due to my pH, but I sprayed it at 6 am to go to work and felt bursts of its scent all day; it lasts so well that I could still smell it close to my skin at 10 pm when I went to bed. Truly a Zara perfume bomb. This pack must be in your collection; I believe both have projection and longevity significantly superior to other Zara scents. As a note, I tested Till 3am and Till 8pm in the store in the morning, and by night I could still smell them close to my skin, which didn’t happen with Vibrant Leather.

I bought this fragrance along with its sibling, Rich Warm Addictive, a little less than a year ago. I first wore it in mid-April and found it to be a generic scent with shockingly short longevity: I’d spray 12-15 times, and it would literally last 20 minutes before fading to skin scent and disappearing completely within an hour. ‘A complete joke of bad taste,’ I thought, ‘even at this price.’ The thing is, I put it away and didn’t take it out again until two months later: in mid-October, I decided to give it another chance and, tremendously surprised, discovered a radically different fragrance from the one I’d found months before. It seems that the need for maceration in some fragrances is a reality far more often than we realise… Highly recommended.

  • Smells very rich. If it had greater longevity or projection, we’d be talking about Zara’s top tier, which is still good but feels half-baked. I imagine many people try it just because it comes in a pack with Rich Warm.

  • Josuegonzalez

This is the one currently sold in stores. It seems very close to Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP, keeping performance differences aside, but it smells very accurate to that fragrance; at first spray, they are almost impossible to distinguish. For the price, it’s brilliant. Highly recommended.

  • Concluding my reviews on this iconic Zara collection (in my opinion, the Tobacco is the best this house has had), this variation is, as already said, the counterpart to the Rich Warm. There is a delicate sweetness that accompanies the structure, but in a light and passing way; it is the pepper and tonka bean that give it its personality. It is not a novel chord structure, as it has also been said it recalls other legends, but it is very well executed and truly, for the price, it is worth buying both Tobacco versions, although personally I prefer the Rich Warm. I do not consider it to be more versatile than the Rich Warm, but rather it is more of a fragrance you would use in the office or a formal meeting, whereas the first is more unstructured, delicious, sexual, and open to different types of occasions.

I’ve had this fragrance for months now, and the price-to-quality ratio is unbeatable. I bought it in a set with Rich Warm Addictive and paid a bit more than buying them individually, but it’s worth it. It’s pleasant, simple, and linear; what I notice from start to finish is the crisp, slightly acidic, and not overly sweet green apple. Its trail is contained and lasts about five hours on my skin. I’d use it for personal enjoyment or casual daytime events, even for sports. It’s neither excessively fresh nor warm, making it versatile, though I tend to wear it in heat as it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The only thing I dislike is the name, as the scent doesn’t seem dark, intense, or exclusive. In short, it’s friendly and pleasant, without many surprises, but given the price, especially in a set, it’s recommended. A hug from Argentina.

  • Fragnatico.Arg

Hello, I’m here to leave my brief opinion on this fragrance which I have had for a few months. The price-to-quality ratio is unbeatable. I went to buy the Rich Warm Addictive and found a set that I paid a little more for than buying them individually. It is pleasant, simple, and linear; what I perceive from start to finish is the green apple, crisp, slightly acidic, and not very sweet. The trail is contained and the longevity on my skin is about 5 hours. I would use it for personal enjoyment or informal daytime events, even for sports. I don’t find it excessively fresh or warm, so I see it as versatile, although I would lean towards using it in warmer times because it doesn’t overwhelm. The only thing I don’t like is the name, as I don’t see it reflected in the aroma: I don’t find it dark, intense, or exclusive. In summary, it is a friendly and pleasant fragrance but without too much surprise. As I said, for the price, and even more so if you can get it in a set, it is undoubtedly recommended. I leave you a big hug from Argentina and until the next review.

It doesn’t work for me, especially compared to Rich Warm Addictive. That one has good performance, is sweet and spicy. I haven’t tried 212 VIP, but it reminds me of One Million, which I also dislike. I just can’t handle it.

  • Julian Gil

There’s not much more to add about the scent, but yes regarding longevity: on my skin it easily lasts over eight hours and it’s noticeable. Really surprised with the performance of this low-cost fragrance.

  • I bought this first, but I was looking for something darker for winter, so I went for its sister, Rich Warm Exclusive. I even returned it, thinking I already had enough cold-weather perfume with the other. I didn’t forget its scent; it had something that hooked me, even though I said I only wanted something dark. After months happily using the other, I couldn’t wait and grabbed the two-pack. For the price, it’s the best option. This has a clear apple, spices and tonka bean, super addictive and modern. It’s fresh, but only for winter, not for heat. It smells delicious and characterful, perhaps not to everyone, especially if you only like citrus. Without a doubt, the best Zara collection; the pack makes sense because they complement each other. It lasts eight hours on skin, but projection is weak, staying close to the skin after two hours. Scent: the strong point, delicious. If I recommend them, yes, certainly!

  • According to others, the longevity and projection are poor, and I confirm I arrived late. I bought the pack in 2024 and both smell faint and last nothing. For €22 I expected it to be worth it, but it was throwing money away. Another hype disappointment and my fault for not testing properly beforehand.

  • Sweet, simple and effective. It features apple and pepper. Together with Rich Warm Addictive, they make up a budget-friendly pack.

  • What a lovely aroma 😍. The opening is a bit strong, but once it dries down it becomes brilliant. It retains sweet tones with a green hint. It lasts over eight hours. 100% recommended.

  • Between the two in the pack, I’d choose this one. It has few notes and seems simpler, but it’s rich, sweet and addictive from the very first moment.

  • It’s decent. I bought it because it came in a combo with the other, which is a marvel, although this one lacks good longevity and the scent doesn’t fully compensate for that shortness.

  • I was looking for cheap winter scents and saw Zara rankings where Rich Warm Adictive is at the top, though reviews are mixed. The good: it opens with delicious apple and pepper, drying down to sweet tonka bean and leather (even if not listed). It’s one of my favourites. The bad: many complain they can’t detect the tobacco, which doesn’t bother me, but others do. Without it, the dry-down is generic and everyone smells the same on the tube. Con: the apple vanishes after two hours, leaving soft leather. If you buy the kit, it’s worth it for the price; if just this one, not so much.

  • This fragrance is absolutely gorgeous, so much so I wondered if it was a clone of 212 VIP Men to boost longevity. I haven’t tried the VIP, but I notice the apple note is quite strong here, whereas VIP boasts passionfruit. It’s a cheerful, complete scent: the crisp apple paired with tonka bean and pepper gives it a serious edge. It’s a shame it doesn’t last long—only about three hours with weak projection. If it weren’t for that, it would be my go-to for any day, just not for special events. If there were a premium version with better staying power, I’d buy it without hesitation; it smells very unique.

  • Josué González Céspedes

A four-season fragrance, it smells delicious and despite being so cheap it’s a marvel of perfumery.

  • Well, it’s a clone of Enrique del Pozo’s Halloween Man X for much less money. The curious thing is that in the first list it lists coffee notes, while Zara lists tobacco notes.

  • A fragrance very similar to CH 212 VIP MAN, but more faint with poor fixation. You have to over-apply every couple of hours.

  • Maurilloo

Well, I think many of us have this because it comes in the pack with Rich Warm Addictive. Compared to that, the Intense Dark Exclusive lacks punch and lasts nothing on the skin. I don’t know if I got a bad unit or if it’s always like this. It’s too faint. I can apply 20 sprays and it’s gone in minutes, which doesn’t happen with Rich Warm Addictive; with 12 or 15 sprays it can last three hours or more and stays impregnated in clothes for days. It’s curious they say it’s for winter, but given the lack of staying power, I feel it’s more for summer. In conclusion, you have to choose Zara perfumes carefully, as some last hours and smell incredible while others are very weak. I also own Sand Desert at Sunset EDT and it projects much more for hours.

  • I consider it not bad. Perhaps its weak point is the performance, something that doesn’t usually stand out in most Zara fragrances. It has a soft and rich aroma. It makes a good pair with Rich Warm Addictive, although the latter stands out much more.

TOBACCO COLLECTION INTENSE DARK EXCLUSIVE ZARA: A good fragrance from Zara, a youthful-adult-sexy party scent that plays decently with Carolina Herrera 212 VIP; the only drawback is its poor projection, it lacks punch… (the ‘intense’ is just the name). It smells fresh, vanilla-infused, sexy, fun, pleasant and suggestive; for dates it’s a very good option, although you need to over-apply for it to work as expected. Suitable for late day and night use; I think night is its best time. Despite not projecting much, you can smell it from close up for about two hours, after which it stays close to the skin for another six hours. Given the pleasant aroma, it might be worth it, but the performance is disappointing. Cost-benefit ratio: acceptable. Scent: 10/10. Projection: 3/10. Longevity: max 6 hours. Recommended.

  • Sangre Malbec

Yes, I have it because it came in the pack with Rich Warm Addictive. It’s an almost imperceptible apple with a sweet base that doesn’t last long. It projects for an hour with a low trail, after which you have to lean in close. In winter, it has nothing to offer, despite being sweet. It suits me more for the day than the night. I don’t think buying it on its own is worth it.

  • I owned it and it lasts absolutely nothing; the scent is nice but it’s not worth buying for its longevity.

  • After letting it macerate for over a year and a half and testing it thoroughly, I confirm: it lasts nothing. It’s a waste of money, no matter how cheap it is. It follows the same philosophy as Zara: tempting you with a cascade of products at an economical price but lacking quality and longevity. Good if you want to collect little scents, bad if you intend to perfume yourself and make a conscious purchase.

  • The scent is rather average, with mediocre projection and almost non-existent longevity, lasting barely two hours. To be perfectly honest, I wouldn’t recommend it for that reason, although it might suit some people if you don’t mind reapplying every couple of hours. I understand some might buy it for being a ‘quite unique’ fragrance, though it’s not for everyone. Personally, I didn’t like it (and I’ve since run out); it smells of fresh vanilla on the skin and comes across as slightly unpleasant, although it could appeal to others.
