While it is true that it resembles the well-known Blanche Bête, in my opinion this new launch has a *very* almond note that makes it distinct and encourages me to keep it in my collection rather than use and discard. It has a wide sillage and I believe the longevity will be excellent; I only opened it today and so far everything pleases me. Top quality. It opens with quite a bit of almond, then coconut and white florals emerge in the heart. In the base, I detect plenty of benzoin alongside tonka and sandalwood. It dries down quite powdery and almond-scented (the ambrette musk also comes through). Fortunately, the fig note isn’t noticeable on my skin, which is a relief as I usually don’t like this fruit much; my nose tends to reject it. Very pleased with this new proposal from the Italian house MORPH, which offers very high quality. It leans slightly towards the feminine and I think it would be ideal for fresh or very cold climates. Now, I must point out that, especially on my skin, the tonka bean and almond stand out quite a bit in its final phase. A beauty 💯
I have no idea about Blanch Bete; I only know it through the inspiration Lattafa draws from it, and honestly, it didn’t convince me. I’d stay with Morph Tonkatonic a thousand times over. While they share the same DNA, Morph Tonkatonic has far more sillage and longevity. What it projects is simply brilliant. The same goes for Disumano Morph, which outshines its Bianco Latte counterpart, and by a long shot, surpasses Eclaire.
