Exactly the same as the 2017 Eau Sauvage Parfum. Top-tier performance.

A fragrance with personality that stands out among today’s typical sweet tonka scents. Unmistakable: an explosion of acidic citrus at the start with lime, bergamot, and grapefruit. It feels synthetic yet powerful and long-lasting; it reached eight hours on skin with moderate projection. Eventually, the citrus yields to earthy and leather notes. Great perfume for the price; the bottle is pretty with a quality cap and spray. I see it as ideal for all year round, although its mossy/citrusy side suits daytime better. EDIT: After more than a year in the drawer, I now find it too synthetic. It was already so, but now it’s more noticeable upon application; the first few minutes are even unpleasant, though later it dries down beautifully and lasts a long time.

To me, it’s a chypre in version 3.0 that offers a lot for a laughable price.

In my opinion, the best in the line. If you like vintage-style aromas like Ralph Lauren’s Polo Green and are looking for an affordable price with decent performance and a modernised touch, try this Polo Tour. I perceive it as a chypre: the citrus supports a green composition with a slight floral touch where fern and moss are the protagonists. It comes with a quality bottle and cap, and has a fairly friendly INCI list. The only drawback is that it’s not easy to find, let alone to sample. But the risk is low and the reward high. Au revoir!
