A slightly intense fragrance at first, which then settles into a clean, elegant, and delicate scent of white flowers with a super pleasant and comforting citrus hint. Excellent longevity and a medium sillage that draws attention.
It’s practically the same as the EDP version, just sweeter with a less intrusive patchouli and without that jasmine tea smell; it’s just jasmine. It’s more similar to the Lanvin Marry Me than to the Donna EDP.
If you have Marry Me, you’ll agree: it’s very similar, perhaps less piercing. Upon testing it on my skin, the unmistakable image of that Lanvin piece came to mind. I was delighted because Marry Me is hard to find now; I believe it’s been discontinued. So if mine runs out and I can’t find it, I know exactly where to turn!
I own the Donna Trussardi EDP and the Lanvin Marry Me; this EDT seems like a middle ground between the two. The Donna EDP is rougher, with a more intense, gritty patchouli note that gives it character, a nocturnal feel, and a smoky touch. Here, those notes are toned down; it’s not as juicy as the Marry Me, but it’s more similar. Basically, all three are almost the same: if I had to choose one, it would be the Marry Me. The Donna EDP is tolerable only in winter, more of a evening wear, and the EDT is similar but watery. The Marry Me is more versatile. It’s not worth buying all three; any one of them suffices as they are practically identical. The longevity is acceptable, over five hours—I’d say it lasts longer than the EDP version, but it projects less.
I was looking for the EDP but only found this EDT, and what a find! It’s one of those perfumes that truly defines me. Its citrus opening is fresh for summer, like drinking an iced tea with white flowers, vanilla beans, and lemon slices. It’s a pity it doesn’t last long; after about four hours, it stays close to the skin, but it dries down to divine jasmine. When I finish this, I’ll get the EDP. It’s another Trussardi gem I never want to lose, and I think anyone would enjoy it—it’s not intrusive at all.
I own both the EDT and the EDP; while the EDT is my favourite for being sweeter and less sharp than the EDP’s lemony opening, its performance on my skin is extremely poor, lasting barely two hours before it fades to skin scent and needs reapplication. The EDP, however, lasts longer and is ideal for intense summers. Anyway, I’m a huge fan of Trussardi—I also own the Pink Marina, which is another gem distinct from these two.
