From the very first moment, it’s sensual and erotic. The notes aren’t random: the red rose brings the eroticism, the freesia adds that innocent and pure freshness, and the musk provides the sexual, animalistic side, pure instinct. That blend left me speechless, oh dear! This is what a girl dressed as an angel but with a devilish look would wear, saying: ‘If you look at me again, you’re in trouble.’
A super feminine and delicate little perfume, smelling of room powder. It’s like mixing Narciso Rodríguez and Valentino Poudrée, though those two leave a stronger trail. Literally smells of powder, very clean and delicate. Lasts well, but it’s for personal use due to its soft sillage. Ideal for any season as it doesn’t overpower.
What a lovely EDP, I loved it 💖. On me, the rose and freesia stand out, followed by a praline that isn’t too sweet or intrusive, and finally the musk with the flowers. At first it smelled like cosmetic cream but I liked it for that reason; now I don’t so much. It has good longevity and a moderate trail. I use it in autumn and winter, during the day. It’s not talc-like; it’s creamy in just the right measure. I have two Mauboussin in my collection, both very good 👍.

It has very good longevity and moderate sillage; I use it in autumn and winter for daytime. It’s not powdery, it’s creamy in just the right measure. I have two Mauboussins in my collection, both very good 👍.
A beautiful, special clean scent, like a creamy soap and slightly sweet. Reminds me of Nivea cream but a bit more floral, sweet, and musky. Projects for the first two hours and then comes and goes for hours; I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. A fragrance totally for daytime.

Just tried it upon receiving it and can’t yet comment on longevity or sillage; I’ll update later… I only say the opening is very harsh, smelling of super strong hairspray (like Nelly, for those in Spain). You have to let that pass, and then comes the real scent: an impeccably clean powder style, like Glow by JLo, perfect for everyday wear and simply smelling clean. No praline or anything sweet is noticeable. I thought about restocking Glow but they’re so similar I won’t. Very pleased as it’s affordable and once the opening passes, it smells wonderful. Edit 15/02/23: longevity and sillage are excellent, very happy with Mauboussin. Edit 09/05/23: the more I use it, the more I like it and the longer it lasts. It’s such a clean, delicate, and lovely sweetness… it’s driving me crazy! I can’t stop wearing it all day; it’s a treasure for me.

I bought it blindly because it was cheap (15-20 dollars). Upon trying it, it was very different from my expectation: extremely sweet. What I notice most are the flowers, lots of rose and freesia. I don’t associate the sweetness with praline. Very feminine. Excellent longevity, around eight hours. You have to be careful with the sprays; more than four are overwhelming. Potent, ideal for autumn/winter. Unbeatable value for money.
This is the scent of clean and neat. Smells like a generic moisturising cream but with a pleasant sweet touch. Reminds me of Tahara Vanilla and Teint de Neige, though less intrusive. I see it as more wearable in the heat, although if it’s too much, it can become overwhelming.

No, no, and no. To start with, it sounds flat and cheap. And then… no note play, no nuances, no transitions, no magic. Just a dusty rose with musk, sharp and unpleasant, which overwhelms you and leaves you lost and crazy, like the neighbour’s lawnmower on a Sunday at eight in the morning. As a laundry softener scent, for clothes, for a detergent, even for a cream… well, okay. But as a perfume, pardon… no, thanks.
