  • I’ve been using it for several days and I’ve liked it. It’s feminine and sweet, but not gourmand; the guys are crazy about it. It smells of cherry, almond, and a flower I can’t identify (I’m not sure how violets smell in perfumes). It’s delicate and subtle, making you feel tender but also sexy. It has a powdery touch, reminiscent of Zara Nuit, but this one is sweeter and more floral. They are similar in their talcum, vanilla, and almond notes, although Nuit lasts longer. Violet Blossom has good sillage at the start but fades quickly, staying close to the skin, suitable only for those very close to you. Ideal for dates; you have to reapply. It’s a different scent from Zara and stands out among similar perfumes. If it weren’t for the longevity and sillage, it smells like a designer perfume, like Guerlain. Edit: I tested it in its ideal climate, a cold, rainy, or humid day, and the sillage and longevity were surprising. Now it seems a bit gothic to me, because on those cloudy and stormy days is where it truly shines.

  • A warm and super sweet aroma. Although they don’t say so, it smells of almond to me and reminds me (without being a clone) of Poison Girl, although this one feels more nocturnal. You can tell the flower and tonka bean. I’ll use it in winter and autumn so as not to get tired of it. The sillage is moderate at first and then more intimate, but it lasts quite a while for the price. Good purchase. Scent 8/10, Longevity 7/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 8/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 7/10. Perhaps I’ll buy it again.

I wanted it so badly, and when I finally used it, what a disappointment! It smells like something I already own but I can’t remember what it is. It’s sweet but has something that doesn’t quite appeal to me. Don’t buy it; besides, it lasted less than an hour on my skin.

  • amanteparfum

I’m obsessed with it; my daughter loves it too, and it’s already her favourite perfume, although the longevity is short.

  • It’s exquisite! I’ve never smelled anything like this from Zara before; I love it for autumn and it’s very potent. I wear it and it lasts for hours, although it’s not suitable for enclosed spaces because it’s quite strong. I adore it and hope they never discontinue it.

What a gem! It’s floral and sweet all at once, with that soft touch typical of Zara but super wearable and with a delightful scent. It reminds me a little of Girl of Now, although it’s not a clone to my nose. I recommend it 100%!

  • What a find! The first time I smelled it, I adored it. Personally, it’s rare for a fragrance to last for me, but this one holds for about four hours before I need to reapply. Regarding the notes, the one that stands out most is the magnolia. For its price, it’s a marvel; I’ll certainly be buying it again. It’s sweet but very enjoyable, and even without opening it, it smells good.

I bought it blindly as a treat during lockdown, following good reviews online. Putting it on, I thought: ‘you said you’d never buy blind again, and here you are, falling for it once more’. I didn’t like the opening at all; it smelled very intense of flowers, and I’m not a fan of florals, preferring sweet and gourmand scents. However, as time passed and it settled, it smelled absolutely delicious; I love it. It’s sweet and pleasant, nothing like the opening, and although almonds aren’t listed in the ingredients, it smells of them to me. For the price, it’s well worth it because the base notes are incredibly rich.

Violet Blossom came in at 159 pesos for 100ml. It has a sweet fruity opening; although it says it contains cherry blossom, the initial scent feels more purple or violet. It’s a fruity aroma that reminds me of grapes or perhaps a dark blackberry. As it dries down, it bears a resemblance to Armani Code Cashmere. I own both and can certainly see the similarity: surprisingly, Violet Blossom has more sillage than the Armani, which costs nearly ten times as much. The difference in the dry-down is that the Zara version stays sweet and juicy, whereas the Armani is a drier sweet. YouTube suggests it smells similar to Elie Saab’s Girl of Now, but I haven’t tried it, though it would be worth a go.

  • I don’t like the opening at all, but the dry-down is lovely. On clothes it lasts more than a day and the next day I like it even more. I almost never use it because at first it’s very strong and overwhelming. Once my sister-in-law got into the car and asked why it smelled like alcohol; I’m sure it was this perfume; yes, it has something quite alcoholic.

  • Beayguille8

It reminds me a lot of Sense of Glam from Zara, practically identical, but that one is no longer available and was more intense. In its opening, it smells of purple fruit, grape, or blackberry, but as it dries those notes become unnoticeable. I would define it as clearly feminine; it smells like a young, fun, and well-behaved girl, but it’s not as well-liked as people say on YouTube. I doubt I would buy it again.

Male opinion: sexy, sensual, edible, refined, elegant, and sweet without being cloying. Ideal for nights out and dates. It suits perfectly from a 16-year-old girl to a 50-year-old lady; it doesn’t age you, only for special occasions. At first, it smells of cherry and flowers, perhaps slightly alcoholic for the first 5 minutes, but as it dries it smells rich and natural, nothing synthetic, like chocolate filled with cherry. Here in Chile there is a ‘Capri’ chocolate that smells exactly the same. It lasts a long time, between 6 and 8 hours, projecting strongly for the first 3. Nothing to envy from a designer brand, even better than commercial scents. Scent: 9/10, longevity and projection: 9/10, price/quality: 10/10.

  • I like it a lot, from start to finish. For the price, it’s an excellent purchase (many designers couldn’t reach the sole of its shoe). It’s sweet but not cloying, a distinct and dark floral with a gourmand touch. The opening isn’t alcoholic and has a potent fruity note, a mix of blackberry and cherry. As it dries, the fruit recedes and it becomes a warm floral with tonka bean and vanilla. Although it’s dense, it maintains freshness; better for cold weather or night, but with controlled sprays it can be used all year. High projection for the first hour, then moderate until it disappears. It lasts 5-6 hours on skin, which is more than acceptable. I don’t see it as identical to Girl of Now or Poisson Girl. Summary: if you like it, buy it; if not, try it. I hope Zara doesn’t discontinue it.

  • I bought it on offer at Zara without thinking. When applied, it smells of intense cherry, but as it dries, the gardenia and notes of almond and blooming blackberry emerge. The sillage is moderate; the first half-hour is a bit overwhelming, but on my skin it lasts about 5 hours, which is fair for the price. I recommend it for night dates for that sexy sweetness and divine base. I would buy it again as a budget winter option.

  • I bought it because of the good reviews and it has been a disappointment. It’s very dark and the smell overwhelms me; I don’t know why. The performance isn’t bad for Zara; it doesn’t fade as quickly as others from the brand, but it’s not for me, although I ended up taking the 200ml bottle 🙁

  • You either love this perfume or you hate it. I love it. It has an intense cherry-wood aroma, dark, which smells more like wood than flower. The opening is intoxicating and spectacular; once it settles, it blends with tonka bean into a sensual, sweet, and nocturnal scent. It’s one of my favourites, it reminds me of autumn, and I adore it.

  • I love this one from Zara; it’s my second favourite and one of the few that lasts an acceptable amount of time on my skin. It was love at first sniff. The quality-price ratio is brilliant: I bought the 30ml bottle and the next day I was already ordering the 200ml. The 3Bs: Good, beautiful, and cheap.

  • Delicious, smells like creamy sweet grape with a fresh touch. On my skin it lasts over 6 hours and projects well; on clothes it lingers until you wash them.

  • What a fragrance, gorgeous and super feminine. It has great sillage for a budget perfume and caught me by surprise; I truly love it.

  • Carmina-VM

As several reviews have said, it’s a dark, heavy perfume and can be a bit invasive as the scent is too strong. It has a very fruity opening that lasts only 15 minutes before settling and becoming very sweet, smelling of wood and vanilla. Although it’s a flat perfume, it has excellent projection and longevity; on my skin it lasts more than six hours and for the price it seems excellent. I recommend this perfume for evening and special occasions, as for everyday use it might become overwhelming.

  • It was a blind purchase; generally, I feel an attraction to perfumes with violet bottles. I started using it and loved it; I own many perfumes but was looking for one with that particular scent. I wanted something that smelled like the powdered drink sachets sold in Colombia many years ago called Fresco Royal, I think it was grape flavour, they don’t sell it anymore, I loved that childhood scent, and well, I have it now! P.S.: I have the Girl of Now by Elie Saab and they are nothing alike, whereas Violet Blossom does take on an air of Mugler’s Alien, which is one of my favourite perfumes!

  • Lady Spritz

I like it a lot. I haven’t bought it yet, but this winter it will be mine. It reminds me of Tous Onyx, the black bear.

  • I love the scent of this fragrance; I feel it’s velvety and creamy, and it reacted very well with my skin. I can see that many women find Zara fragrances don’t last at all, but that’s not my case; the ones I’ve bought last approximately six hours, which is perfect. I’ve had a very good experience. Also, Violet Blossom isn’t that similar to Girl of Now, Mademoiselle Rochas, or Trussardi’s Sound of Donna… I own them, but in my opinion these perfumes follow that same line without being identical; all are warm and embracing. The same goes for Halloween Shot; I recommend it for those who enjoy these aromas. Furthermore, I like intense aromas and use Violet Blossom to layer with scents like the ones I mentioned, and I love how they combine.

  • I like it a lot although it’s very soft; I’d like to be able to smell it better. Update: I quickly stopped liking it. It’s soapy with a green hint, which I suppose is why they compare it to Alien… no comparison at all, not even with Girl of Now. If it has an air to Mercedes Benz Women, which shares a similarity with Alien (a distant cousin with similar DNA) and is clearly the poorer cousin, okay, if MB is the poorer cousin, this is the three-times-poorer cousin of Mercedes Benz 😂

  • Carolina Casas

It smells identical to Classique Essence by JPG, only that at the end the Zara version becomes smoky while the JPG retains its sweetness, but to my nose it’s a very good dupe. Honestly, I stick with JPG.

  • DanimendezAR

Sweet without being cloying, enveloping and delicate. This is how I want to smell always 💜. After reading reviews saying it was a dupe for Alien (which I don’t perceive as similar), I bought the 10ml roll-on to try it. I was so enchanted that I ended up buying the 180ml without a second thought!! It’s MARVELOUS; I use it both day and night. Although it has moderate persistence on me, it’s so accessible that replicating it doesn’t hurt. As a huge fragrance fan, I like to have variety as having the same perfume all the time bores me, but with this one I feel I’ve found “THE” perfume I want on my bedside table, in my bag, everywhere. I love, love, love.

  • One of Zara’s best fragrances. It lasts long enough on the skin to surprise me, and its aroma, heavily marked by tonka bean (a note I adore), makes a super low-cost perfume unique, even compared to the others at Zara. I got 180ml for 6,500 pesos (around $17). I suppose it depends on each person’s skin, but I wouldn’t hesitate to try it when passing Zara.

  • Karencommentz

I bought it blindly based on all the recommendations and was totally disappointed. The scent is nice, sweet, floral… no complaints there, but the longevity?? Maximum one hour. I have to apply it to my clothes to smell it a bit. At least it’s cheap.

  • I picked it up after trying it just once and walked away with 180ml at a bargain price… the scent is a dream come true… it sits somewhere between Girl of Now and Hypnotic Poison, a real wonder… however, I can’t speak highly of it right now with this heat. I’ll update later.

  • Violet Blossom is a floral amber fragrance, rich, elegant, and long-lasting. Considering it’s low cost, it’s the best from Zara; totally, keeping in mind the distance, it’s the teenage sister of Girl of Now and Alien EDP. For a quarter or fifth of the price, it’s worth it one hundred per cent. Who will like it: lovers of Alien.

  • karugervazoni

Today I perfumed myself with Girl Of Now for work. When I left, I passed Zara, tried this perfume, and got a flower of surprise: it was identical to what I was wearing, haha. It’s the undisputed dupe of Elie Saab, incredible. The only downside is that after three hours, I barely smell it. But it’s very good value and you can easily reapply. I saw reviews saying it’s similar to Alien? Is it serious? Just because its bottle is violet doesn’t mean it imitates Mugler. Besides, it doesn’t smell like jasmine soap. It’s identical to Girl of Now. This confirms you shouldn’t rely on Google’s lists of supposed dupes. Go try perfumes and check it out for yourself, so you don’t end up disappointed. Hope my review helps!

  • I, as a man, thought a cologne as rich as Lolita Lempicka wouldn’t smell good… until I tried this wonder, it’s a blast.

  • kteresamp

I bought it blindly because I’d always seen good reviews and the notes caught my eye, but I was let down. It smells very similar to Hypnotic Vanilla by Zara; both are very synthetic. I can’t stand them and they even give me a headache; I don’t know how so many people can like them.

  • Josfer0512

Violet Blossom is addictive for me, delicious, strong, and yes, very similar to Girl of Now by Elie Saab. Given the price, I have no problem reapplying it every three hours. Thanks, Zara, for this affordable alternative. I’ll keep my Girl of Now for the collection 🤭.

  • It’s similar, not identical. It’s in the style of Ilia Secreto, but the Natura one is more elegant to my taste, while the Zara one is more informal.

  • Pilar_vasa

To me, it smells like a mysterious, dark, and mystical woman walking alone down a flower-lined street illuminated by the moon. It doesn’t smell like Hypnotic Poison, but it has those same vibes of mystery and something esoteric beyond this plane. It’s a perfume that transports you and envelops you in a dark yet enchanting floral halo. I recommend it for the night and for any season.

  • Sometimes it hooks me, other times it gives me a headache. I picked it up at Zara because in the shop, amidst all the mix, it smelled violet and floral on my wrist. At home, total disappointment; it doesn’t smell like it did in the store. I give it an occasional try; I think I’ve only liked it about three times, while many other attempts have left me with a headache. It can smell of grape, nocturnal and elegant, or synthetic, like a cheap body mist that kills you. I shouldn’t have bought such a large bottle.
