Perfumer
Ane Ayo
Ane Ayo is a perfumer based in Paris, France, with a multicultural background that has inspired her creative approach to perfumery. She grew up in Bilbao, Spain, and later studied in the United Kingdom before working in France, which taught her how to draw inspiration from many sources.
Initially, Ane studied pharmacy before discovering her passion for perfumery. A newspaper article about master perfumer Alberto Morillas fascinated her, and she completed an MBA in perfume and fashion management before studying at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery. For Ane, perfumery is a profession built on trust and sharing, allowing her to express her aestheticism and personality while also opening new doors to the world around her.
Ane’s travels inspire her work, and she is particularly fascinated by Japan for its culture, gastronomy and art. Her “vacation island”, Menorca, also holds a special place in her heart. She also has a strong interest in painting, fashion, dance, fabrics and colours, and likes to spend her free time creating perfumes on the same themes. Her flower collection, “The Flower Shop”, features ingredients such as Lavender Memory or Tuberose Saffron, combining art, design and fragrance.
Ane Ayo works for Firmenich, a fragrance company that collaborates with many brands and designers, and she has also worked with Mane. In her career, she has created several popular fragrances, including A Drop d'Issey for Issey Miyake, Scandal Le Parfum for Jean Paul Gaultier and Voile d'Ocre for Yves Rocher, among others.
