Sidonie Lancesseur, a talented and accomplished perfumer, discovered her passion for scents at an early age. As a girl, she was captivated by the smells of the French countryside during family holidays. At 12 years old, meeting a family friend who worked in the perfume industry sparked her desire to express herself through scent. Lancesseur pursued her dream by studying at the prestigious ISIPCA (Institut Supérieur International du Parfum, de la Cosmétique et de l’Aromatique Alimentaire) in France.

After completing her studies, Lancesseur began her career at Robertet, a leading company in fragrances and flavours. She was mentored by the renowned perfumer Michel Almairac, who shared with her his vast knowledge and experience. Throughout her career, Lancesseur has collaborated with numerous prestigious brands, such as Atelier Oblique, Azzaro, Bentley and By Kilian.

Sidonie Lancesseur is known for her elegantly simple fragrances inspired by nature, which have earned praise from both critics and consumers. Her most notable creations include Straight to Heaven by By Kilian, 1270 and L’humaniste by Frapin, and Lumiere Blanche by Olfactive Studio.

Lancesseur’s approach to perfume creation is deeply rooted in her childhood experiences and her love of nature. She has a strong affinity for woody aromas such as patchouli and vetiver, which evoke memories from her time spent in the French countryside. Working with Robertet has also allowed her to explore other high-quality raw materials, such as rose.

In her own words, Sidonie Lancesseur has always associated a fragrance with a place, a person, or a happy moment. Making emotions and memories tangible through fragrance has been an obsession for her, and her creations often reflect her personal experiences and emotions. Sidonie credits her mentor, Michel Almairac, with inspiring her preference for short formulations.
