From bitter to sweet: this classic evolves through three phases with a modern concept. It begins dry with thyme and rhubarb blended with belladonna, delivering a bitter, almost smoky touch with nuances of tobacco and leather. Then it shifts to something fruity-floral thanks to the berries and a carnation that smells almost like rose, resulting in a placid and soft scent. As it develops, vetiver of good wood appears with licorice, and finally it sweetens with hidden vanilla and a musky base with fine cherry, without falling into gourmand territory. I really like the concept; it’s original and intelligent. The longevity is good and the projection is soft (for me, improvable), making it ideal for daytime use and any season. Rating: 8
