Amó by Natura

I remember when my sister used this perfume and I loved the trail it left. Today I have it because she gifted me a bottle she hadn’t used in years. This perfume is beautiful; I find it very feminine, it’s like smelling a bouquet of very beautiful white flowers, but no, it’s not the typical white flower scent I sensed in other fragrances. This one is more special. I don’t know if it’s the violet note, but it fascinates me. It’s a real pity it’s been discontinued; I’ll have to save it for special occasions.

I tested an old sample and the opening smells identical to Pi by Givenchy. It’s a good fragrance, but the longevity is low.

I wouldn’t say it’s very sweet or that it lasts a mere breath. For me, it lasts about six hours well, and a little longer closer to the skin if applied generously. It doesn’t smell generic either; I don’t recall smelling anything alike, although it produces a non-surprising effect. The opening is floral and slightly crystalline, barely citrus with plenty of natural orange. The alcohol dries almost instantly, revealing a curious masculine accord, I think due to the violet, amber, and dissonant with the sweetness. The orange remains present. It’s quite special, but not for every nose.

I bought this fragrance blind and it has disappointed me immensely. It’s not worth the price because it doesn’t even reach Body Splash status. Its longevity is not just scarce, it’s minimal. And it’s too soft; more than being right on the skin, it evaporates instantly. I ended up returning it to the brand, which luckily exchanged it for another, which although not good, at least lasts longer. So far, none of Natura’s fragrances have convinced me, only the freshness of Acai, which lasts about six hours on me. The saleswoman gave me all the samples after my complaint, but the truth is, neither the fragrances nor the price close for me; it’s too expensive for the quality. I prefer Avon.

Powdery, vanilla, white flowers… warm, it’s a tender embrace; when I wear it, I feel in love. I adore this perfume, soft trail, six hours’ longevity. In its dry-down it smells fruity; it’s very strange that it doesn’t seem like the same perfume.

A very rich floral-vanilla fragrance, I find it perfect for use in the heat of summer; it’s not a perfume that cloyes. I find some resemblance to YSL’s Manifesto.

The opening is beautiful: powdered vanilla, freshly blooming jasmine, and drops of orange and lemon. Then the strong flowers highlight with a woody base. In the end, it leaves a vanilla floral with a touch of tender orange, like an essence or a custard. Very delicate and feminine.

I love this fragrance. I tried the sample and immediately bought it. It has great staying power. It’s very sweet but not overpowering. What I notice is a hint of ‘smokiness’, as if it had incense, even though it doesn’t seem to. It brings back memories of my childhood because it’s so cosy; the vanilla makes it very warm. I think the name ‘Amo’ fits perfectly with what it conveys.
