Princess by Vera Wang

My best friend gifted me this perfume (my first Christmas present of 2024) in a set with body mist. I’ll review both as they feel distinct. Perfume: opens with a soft, creamy white floral scent that soon turns into perfumed chocolate, very pleasant and clean thanks to the guava. Ideal for any weather, but it really shines on autumn dates. Body: the chocolate shines more, sweet and soft, though the fruity notes arrive at the end, leaving it bright. Both have a moderate-to-light trail and longevity; they are neither invasive nor spicy. I already wanted this in my collection, and it was a wonderful surprise. Fortuna, thank you for the gift, I love you : )

Buy blind. I must confess that at first I felt disappointed, but after a while it becomes sweeter and that is what I liked. I don’t detect vanilla, but it looks lovely for everyday wear.

When I read the reviews, I imagined a completely different scent. Clearly it was a blind buy and I am somewhat regretful; it smells more of baby powder than anything, with a slight touch of chocolate. It is very similar to Benetton Hot, which is cheaper and smells the same, minus the chocolate. The vanilla is not perceptible. I am regretful. The opening is slightly alcoholic, then powder with cocoa. 6.5/10 💓

What a tragedy!!!! What an ephemeral aroma!!!! When I finally found a fragrance that convinced me, its scent on my skin lasts only 2 hours. Regrettable 🙁 and on clothes, let alone, if it lasts another 2 hours, but it leaves much to be desired pffffffffffff

I didn’t think I would like it, but I loved it!!! It smells like chocolate with fruits, then water lily, tiare, and neroli. It is very feminine, soft, pleasant, zero cloying, a well-made perfume. It smells like Damita or well, Princess; it is very pleasant, people compliment it a lot, but it lasts only a short time. One of my favourites!!!!

I don’t know which note makes me hate it. The chocolate and vanilla base is fine, but that initial floral note makes it feel very old and stale. It reminds me of an older lady with heavy makeup leaving an unpleasant trail. What a pity; I expected more from that tender sweetness that barely registers.

Beautiful: caramel, chocolate, and vanilla. I love it. The bottle is lovely and the cap is a fantasy crown ring. The longevity is average and it’s affordable. In the heat, the wood, guava, and slightly green notes come out, which is very nice.

I bought it blind in 2017. It smells very good, chocolatey and sweet, but initially it’s a bit cloying. It lasts about 4 hours. It’s quite feminine, ideal for girls aged 15 to 25. I left it for a year and when I returned to using it, it was like rediscovering it, although I’m not sure if I’d repurchase.

Inside that childish bottle lies a restrained perfume, nothing babyish. It’s slightly chocolatey and woody, suitable for a woman not necessarily young. Very comfortable and pleasant for being at home after a meal, like an afternoon with a blanket and a hot drink as the last rays of sun fade.

Personally, I adore it. Besides the beautiful bottle, what counts is the scent. My dad gave it to me and said ‘it reminds me of you’. Since then, it’s one of my favourites: sentimental, beautiful, and delicious.

I thought it would be a hit! It was on my list due to its popularity and good reviews, but trying it in-store was a disappointment. On my skin, I don’t detect vanilla, chocolate, citrus, or amber—just a strange, green floral scent, like freshly cut grass. Sorry, another ‘marketing victim’, just like Viva La Juicy. It’s a pity because the presentation is beautiful. I don’t find it youthful or suitable for blind buying; it’s versatile depending on skin pH, very long-lasting but with an overwhelming trail that envelops you with a single spray. Unfortunately, it didn’t convince me: ‘much fame, little talent’.

I like Princess by Vera Wang as a transition scent for days saturated with strong fragrances; it’s relaxing to me. It’s an unpretentious fragrance with an intimate trail and a duration of about 5 hours. It has a slightly childish touch and an indefinable base like ‘cologne smell’. It smells floral and chocolatey, delicate, fresher than sweet but with both nuances. I love the bottle despite its childish character. Scent 7/10, Duration 6/10, Trail 5/10, Value 6/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy it again? Probably not.

I have to admit I bought it for a 50ml deal. I only knew it was sweet and unpretentious, and the cute bottle was irresistible. At the first spray, I thought I’d ruined it; it smelled like bad liquor. But I was patient and let it settle. It smells like vanilla and milk chocolate, with fruity touches and something floral. The longevity is moderate; it lasted a work morning, and the sillage is very soft, almost imperceptible. It’s for winter afternoons. It smells like a sweet café with freshly baked pastries to me. Nothing sophisticated, but it doesn’t need to be. If you want to feel warm and comfortable on the sofa with hot chocolate in December, this is the one. It depends on the situation: I wouldn’t wear it for work dates; it’s homely and intimate. For the price I paid, I’d buy it again; it’s pleasant to me, but I wouldn’t pay the original price. If you find deals and you like sweet, soft perfumes, go ahead.

I always say perfumes have no age, but with Princess I make an exception: it seems destined for a youthful, almost childish audience. The packaging gives it away; it seeks to catch the eye of a young girl or teenager. The scent is very sweet; defining it as a chocolate or vanilla shake is accurate, but far from being cloying, it’s very light and even fresh, perfect for that audience. I bought it for the notes and good price. It falls short on duration and trail; I wouldn’t wear it out except for errands. I use it as a mist for sheets and pillows; it’s super comforting and cosy for sleep. A pleasant perfume for lovers of soft, light sweet scents.

It was the first perfume I added to my wishlist. I felt happy and nervous buying the 50ml bottle without having smelled it. The first spray almost made me hate it: it smelled like apple cider vinegar, but in 3 seconds it changed to something pleasant. I heard the top notes, but the middle notes stayed. So sweet and pleasant, discreet and delicious, with a perfect balance that makes it refined. Then, on my skin, it turns into an exquisite chocolate and vanilla aroma. It’s not my style of strong sillage; this is discreet and cosy, the sillage stays close to the skin, but it didn’t disgust me. The longevity is amazing: I put it on at 3 pm and it was still there the next noon, 21 hours! It’s majestic and not appreciated enough. Everything is sublime, from the bottle to the scent. The adorable thing is that the base and cap are rings, isn’t it beautiful? Dignified of a princess. I feel special when I wear it. I recommend it for seeing your special person; melting into an embrace with that scent is a blessing. It lives up to its name. I’ll definitely buy it again when it runs out. Plus, the price is accessible. Scent 10/10, sillage 6/10, longevity 10/10.
