Royal Elixir by Ormonde Jayne has been an absolute gem. I always put it off, but this has completely changed my mind about the brand. It’s a potent blend of florals and citrus, featuring bergamot, rose, and above all, osmanthus. As it dries down, the musk and amber give it body and freshness, yet that initial floral essence remains. To me, it’s a super-elegant, refined fragrance with a distinguished gentleman’s presence (without being old-fashioned). If you like classic Armani Code, this is the niche upgrade you’re looking for: same vibe, similar profile, and that key osmanthus touch. It’s more masculine, perfect for temperate climates, lasts incredibly long, and is top quality. Give it a try; you’ll be convinced. Rating: 8/10

Royal Elixir by Ormonde Jayne has been an incredible discovery. I always postponed it, but this has changed my view of the brand. It comes out with strong floral and citrus notes: bergamot, rose, and above all, osmanthus dominate. As it dries down, the musk and amber densify and refresh the blend without losing that initial floral burst. In my opinion, it’s a super-elegant, refined fragrance with a distinguished bearing (but not old-fashioned). I find it very original; if you like traditional Armani Code, this is the niche jump you need: same usage, similar profile, and that osmanthus as the star. It’s more masculine, versatile in temperate climates, lasts incredibly long, and is top quality. Give it a try regardless. Rating: 8/10

  3. What a magnificent fragrance! Wait, wait, what a magnificent fragrance! The deeper I venture into Ormonde Jayne, the more I fall in love again. I feel there is still a ray of light in perfumery, because with so many designer flankers that smell the same or that Chanel ‘eau’ costing over £100 which is pure fraud, it becomes a right mess. Try this Royal Elixir and fall in love again for real.
