Daisy Love by Marc Jacobs

I bought this blindly and it didn’t win my heart. It lacks any green or herbal notes, with very little aromatic touch. To me, it’s a sweet, warm perfume, almost cloying, though not heavy. It’s a perfect youthful fruity-chouli for mild or cold days, but in summer it makes me feel hot; the sweetness isn’t overwhelming, yet it doesn’t provide freshness either. I can’t really detect the flowers; it smells more like a camomile and the fruity aspect is like icing, not natural. It’s easy to wear and ideal for a teenager, but I was misled by reviews claiming freshness and green notes (like in the original or Wild), and I was wrong. I don’t believe those definitions are accurate, but it is generally an easy perfume to enjoy.

It’s sweet but soft, not one of those that gives you a headache or overwhelms (if you’re very sensitive to sweetness, it might bother you; I have days like that). It’s a feminine scent, but for me perfumes have no gender, so if you like this type of note, go for it. It feels tender and cosy, youthful yet versatile; I think it suits any age and any season, day or night. It’s lovely, but after a while the sweetness intensifies more than I can bear, so be careful with that.

I don’t own the original, but a limited edition of ‘Mercadona’ for Mother’s Day. Many people say it resembles this one, and there’s no need to look further than the name ‘Daily Love’… I like it very much; it’s fruity, sweet, and fresh. It doesn’t last long, but I use it for layering with other perfumes (like Lattafa’s Yara), and since it’s 48ml, it’s great for carrying in your bag and reapplying. Given the comments about its longevity, I wouldn’t buy the original, but the Mercadona version is superb and the format is much more convenient.

Celestial. An angelic blend of blackberries, camomile, and musk. Addictive, sweet, and simple (but by no means boring). 🌼 I love, love, love Daisy Love. 🌼

This perfume is beautiful; I can truly smell the camomile and raspberries; it’s delicious. It’s one of those scents you never want to run out of. I wear it on my clothes so it lasts longer, and every time I get close to the garment, I can’t stop smelling it.

It’s a dream come true; one of my favourites for hot weather. Many find it super sweet, but to me it’s pure summer. Smells of sweet raspberries (I assume that’s the camomile, though I’ve never tried it), with the floral touch of the daisy that defines the whole range, and a musk that cleans it up. It doesn’t last long on the skin (3-4 hours), but it clings well to clothes. It’s super feminine, youthful and a compliment machine.

I bought it blind and loved it, the best decision ever! Just a warning: if you don’t like sweet scents, better try it first before falling in love with it ☺️

Very nice, fruity and floral, sweet as I like it, without being overwhelming and people praise it a lot. It doesn’t last long, but it’s so subtle, elegant and chic despite being sweet and feminine. I’d buy it again without a doubt; it’s one of my favourites.

It’s a lovely, youthful and innocent scent. I don’t like that there’s an army of variants of a fragrance; it’s excessive and confusing. It doesn’t smell bad, but in my country it costs about $120, which is a lot; if it were $60 it would be viable for young girls aged 15 to 25, but I wouldn’t invest that much in Daisy Love; there are more interesting options at that price. I don’t know if it was a pH issue, but although it had a good trail for a couple of hours, it was gone by four. Scent 7/10, Trail 7/10, Longevity 7/10.

Daisy Love only resembles Daisy and all its ‘Love’ ranges. I decided Banderas doesn’t resemble it; I’d say it’s like a distant cousin, tuberose and pretentious, but with less depth. It’s not of poor quality, but it has something of Charnell in Daisy Love, like those old perfumes from the 50s and 60s, without anhydrides or leathers or old notes. So it can be another of the many similar scents, but with style and certain glamour, without pretensions. That makes it special for daily work; it can leave an immense trail when applied, but the longevity isn’t as long (4 to 6 hours, 8 if you have a less alkaline pH). It doesn’t bother anyone; even the cats in my house adore it, and that says a lot, considering felines usually flee from perfumes. It’s clean, adorable, caressing, heavy (which is why I like it), chic and a gem in the fauna of similar perfumes.

I bought it blind… It didn’t win my heart nor disgust me. It’s floral, but on my skin it feels more fruity. Sweet, with personality, sparkling, lively and jovial. That’s how I perceive it. More for spring and summer, though it could work well in colder months during the day if you identify with that vibe. For teenage girls and young adults. Longevity: 3 hours.

My brother gifted it to me for my birthday and at first I was shocked because, having heard the original Daisy, this bears little resemblance to it. It is extremely sweet and I had been using citrus perfumes in summer. It was a bit of a ‘eh! it’s different!’ moment. I wasn’t smitten at first, but after the weather cooled down and I started wearing heavier perfumes, I used it again and perceived it totally differently. Very pleasant, cosy and much less sweet than I remembered. I’ve used half a bottle. In my opinion it is VERY seasonal; it’s complicated to wear in summer.

The beauty of simplicity… that is Daisy Love. I was very surprised because it’s not what I imagined and it’s quite different from the classic Daisy. The Arctic blackberries are usually fresh and acidic, somewhat tart-sweet, but here that fruity note comes across as quite sugary, without becoming cloying or invasive. Then, as that sweetness fades, the floral phase emerges, becoming more radiant and luminous; finally, the notes blend over a sensual, creamy musk. I would call it ‘Daisy in Love’, ideal for a love-struck daisy in the middle of a meadow. On my skin it has moderate longevity of about 4 hours, but on clothes or hair it lasts much longer with good projection. It is feminine and has a jovial spirit, standing out best in autumn/spring. I love it and am glad it’s in my collection.

I was surprised because I read it didn’t have good performance, but it projects for 3 hours and with a lower sillage for another 2 hours. Not bad, considering it is a delicate aroma. I detect the floral part like flower nectar and soon comes the fruity part, but not fresh fruit, rather like jam. It is special because it’s not a fruit found in all perfumes.

Simply delicious! This aroma with its few notes is addictive. I think it can be worn all year round, perhaps working better in spring, for both formal and informal use. Sweet and also creamy, as previous reviews say. Ideal for morning events, for example a breakfast with friends. It is a friendly aroma that doesn’t go unnoticed.
