Descripción

Narciso Rouge by Narciso Rodriguez is a floral musk woody fragrance for women. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by Nadege le Garlantezec and Sonia Constant. Upon its release, iris intertwines with Bulgarian rose, also known as Bulgarian damask rose. The heart of the fragrance reveals a bouquet of musk, neroli, and orange blossom. Finally, the base settles on tonka bean, vanilla, white cedar extract, cedar, sandalwood, and vetiver.

  • Narciso Rodríguez fragrances revolve around musk. Rouge is like the sensual sister of the Narciso range, very similar to Poudrée between balsamic and powdery but sweet. Clearly it’s the most conventional of all; the neroli, iris and Bulgarian rose bring the opulence. I’d dare to say it has a touch similar to Dior Addict EDP but less overwhelming. In conclusion, it’s the one that has been liked most in the franchise; it’s evident that the girl dressed in red stands out among the others who are sober and reserved.

  • I’ve tried it in freeshops, which aren’t always the best place to perceive the notes… I liked the opening a lot. Of course it reminds me of the classic Narciso, but it’s a flanker so it’s not strange. I don’t know if it’s my skin or the freeshop environment, but I didn’t find it very splendid. I barely managed to perceive the rose, I don’t understand why. In the final dry-down it turned into an acidic rose on my skin that I didn’t like at all. It seemed like I was smelling another perfume than the one described. I’ll try to get a sample at Sephora before returning to my country to test it more before issuing a verdict. With the great reviews I wanted to have it (especially after For Her Fleur Musc), but for now and until I can smell it in other contexts, I’ll pass. Before knowing it, I’d made a blend at home of the classic Narciso and Esta Flor Rosa de Natura which turned out quite well, maybe that’s why it doesn’t impact me so much.

  • They gave it to me and it hasn’t won me over. I use Poudrée and I love it, but this one is too floral for my taste. I must have a blunted sense of smell to differ so much from all the opinions because I was surprised they say the two are so similar. On the other hand, I see in both Poudrée and this one that they don’t last as I’d like. I ‘treated myself’ to the larger format of Poudrée after the sample hit, and then the longevity disappointed me; at least on me. The longest-lasting ones in this line according to my experience are the white bottle, which is divine, and the pink bottle For Her, which I don’t like at all and half the world has used. The same half that suffered the Angel fever decades ago, I suppose, as it smelled everywhere. Rouge has a beautiful bottle, I think it’s very well made and pleasant, but it reminds me of others to me, besides feeling too floral. I’m for intense, long-lasting, woody, vanilla and powdery perfumes but without leaving a blatantly clear base. And I don’t think Rouge is mine, not even Poudrée (although it smells stylish) for how little it lasts for what it cost me.

  • I was given a sample on a card and I loved it, that was over a week ago and it still smells. It has soaked into the whole drawer where I stored it. I think I’ll go back to try it on the skin to check what effect it has on my pH. The aroma is delicious. It reminds me of a perfume from the nineties, as they say, this scent isn’t just another one. If you want to stand out, this is the one.

I gave it to my wife with a bit of trepidation… and she was fascinated. It’s a beautiful fragrance. Sweet but delicious. I recognise myself as a Narciso fan.

  • Anfítrite

I’ve used two vials of EDP and the truth is it has lovely nuances but it hasn’t convinced me. The opening has something that irritates me for at least an hour. It tickles my throat. It seemed to smell like a mysterious marker among the flowers. It also smells like cedar pencil, but I do like that. It’s possibly the musk and its synergy with the other notes that bother me. It reminds me of Her Golden Secret by Antonio Banderas, which also had that irritating something and they share notes (musk, orange blossom, tonka, vanilla, cedar), although they don’t look alike. After an hour I start to enjoy the dry-down more, which is softer and sweeter; reminiscent of old makeup powder. It’s powdery. It reminds me of some scent from the past, closed drawers in my grandmother’s chests, old soaps, earthy smell in the garden. Beautiful scents. It has a contemporary style and would be suitable for work with the public, office, meetings or going out at night in formal settings. In summary: unpleasant initial phase of +1 hour, then a dry-down that I do like. A perfume for lovers of musk with a marked powdery sweet and oriental touch: satin woods, sweet tonka and vanilla, floral. Moderate sillage and longevity. Good fragrance but not for me.

  • This is my last purchase and the first of Narciso Rodríguez. I bought it for one reason: to my nose, it seems the most talcum-powdery of all I’ve ever smelled in my life. Generally, Narciso perfumes don’t usually fool me; they smell too floral and ‘older woman’, leaning towards the 50s. So I sniffed Rouge and Poudrée and chose the first for that very talcum note on my skin (Poudrée, despite feeling similar, left me a trail of flowers I don’t think I’m wearing now). Summary: Pros: it’s a perfume whose scent has me obsessed, especially in the opening, so fresh yet strong at the same time. And that talcum/woody scent just after. Cons: for the price (I got the 90ml batch + 10ml travel size), it should last much longer than it does. It explodes very quickly in the opening and then disappears. I’ve tried everything, even putting vaseline on or spraying it on my hairbrush to make it stick… and nothing. It’s a shame. I love its scent but it doesn’t give me a sense of longevity. Maybe I’d buy it again, but the perfume world is wide and you have to keep experimenting.

  • Galadriel

Narciso Rodríguez perfumes are my favourites, but this Rouge… has left me a little cold. I like it, but it hasn’t won me over like many of its ‘siblings’. It smells good, with that typical talc and musk essence of Narciso Rodríguez, but it just doesn’t hook me. A bit disappointing if I compare it with Narciso Poudrée (which I adore), which reminds many people of it. Besides, it’s extremely soft and lasts very little and very faintly on my skin… a just-about pass for me.

  • rafajurado

A fresh, floral fragrance with a sweet touch. It has a vanilla and talc base. I find it has poor fixative power and sillage. Very much in the style of Armani Code or 212 VIP Rose.

  • Casablanca77

Narciso Rouge is a safe bet with Narciso Rodríguez; if you trust the brand, you won’t be disappointed. On my skin, it’s a potent, metallic iris with a sweet, elegant and executive touch. The sweetness isn’t cloying, sustained by this house’s musk which is pure spectacle. I know musk can sometimes be tiring or even tickly, but here the performance is very decent for these times. It derives from the previous Narciso and Narciso Poudrée with lots of iris, landing in a middle ground. A little goes a long way for summer, but it’s better suited for the cold. I notice less longevity than the other two. I’d leave this for those curious, educated people who don’t follow the crowd and look you up and down before you realise they already know you. It smells safe, punchy, perceptive, without nonsense or pretension, showing exactly what it is: a good perfume. Of the three, I couldn’t have cared less: quality.

  • keilarojasw

A wonderfully floral fragrance. It’s truly delicious, but unfortunately on my skin the projection isn’t good, although the longevity is quite good.

  • albertodeline

My new favourite girl fragrance. It’s all iris, but for me, everything is governed by the iris. What a treat, such elegant and sexy femininity.

  • I love it. It seems sexy and elegant to me, reminding me of a woman at an art exhibition in a Julio Medem film. A northern woman, cold beauty, unashamed snob, unfathomably attractive and sophisticated. A woman who, once discovered, has already looked you up and down. Dangerous because she likes looking as much as being looked at. I love that danger, of someone tormented and burning beneath an appearance of control. I love the bottle, Pantone colour 186C, pure and minimalist lines with simple Narciso letters.

  • I fell in love with this perfume when I tried it by chance on a lucky day, when the sales staff let you smell without pressuring you into buying what everyone else is buying. I’d been looking for something that evoked a femme fatale… sexy, elegant, intelligent, and captivating. This perfume is all that and more. Longevity is very good, it fixes well on clothes, and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I love it from the start, but without doubt that powdery, vanilla scent as it dries, which smells like old powder, makes it unique. They gave it to me for Christmas, and every time I’ve worn it, it has brought many compliments and even sparked passions 😉

  • A white floral fragrance that fades quickly, giving way to a warm, very powdery floral sweetness. This sweetness perfectly balances the woody base notes, lending sobriety and elegance. It’s versatile and enveloping: sweet and powdery enough for a hot day, yet warm enough to provide comfort in the cold. Narciso Rouge represents a woman with mature self-esteem who knows how to seduce with bearing and natural elegance. Sillage and projection are moderate, with better fixation in cold than in heat. I have no doubt I’ll buy it again when the time comes🌹🖤

  • An exquisite blend of iris, sandalwood, and tonka bean… sober, powdery, and elegant. Good sillage and longevity on my skin.

  • A sweet floral discovery. I was looking for the iris. It’s not very well known in Chile, but I found it in a large store, tried it, and fell in love. Sweet iris and rose with tonka bean and vanilla over wood. Potent, overwhelming, and classy. My choice for going out at night or on cold days. Sillage and longevity are excellent. Totally recommended

  • I hadn’t tried it before and was hugely surprised. The creaminess is unbeatable. I feel it’s super sensual and sexy; the musk must be strong, but the flowers soften it, leaving an elegant, wearable scent that isn’t heavy. I’ve checked, it’s making quite a stir with men 😉

  • Adorable and seductive perfume. I love all the Narciso I’ve tried, and Rouge is always a hit. Intense yet unobtrusive, perfect for going out at night; you get chased like the Pied Piper…😁

  • Reina Amigdala

Not for me. An unfortunate blind buy. I love Narciso Fleur Musc for Her, and knowing this house makes super musky, feminine, and elegant fragrances, I thought it would be a good idea to order this. It wasn’t. It smells like musk and nothing else. I don’t detect roses or creamy vanilla. I just felt sad to have spent money in vain.

  • María Jacqueline

What to say.. 💖💖💖 I love Narciso Rouge with all my heart.. It’s very beautiful, with moderate opening and then drops to soft but projects a lot, even if you don’t feel it, people smell you.. Longevity is moderate and I think the vanilla gives it a very nice touch, not sweet, but creamy.. I don’t find it excessively powdery (Ambree is more powdery for me).. Its use is in Winter, Autumn, and Spring, daytime and nighttime… It’s also one of those perfumes that make you feel good, secure, and chic..

  • Gemasevilla

It has a creamy languor mixed with a memory of wooden pencil cases. It’s pretty. At certain moments, it takes on an air similar to Cacharel’s Lou Lou, but much softer.

  • I’ve been testing it for a month, and no matter how much I wanted it to convince me, it didn’t. However, I think it could be good for someone who likes tonka bean. On my skin, it opens sweet and powdery: it feels mostly of iris and musk. After a while, it picks up a green-citrus hint that I like, probably from the vetiver, but as it settles, its dry-down becomes tonka, vanilla, and more tonka, accompanied by something dry, perhaps the woods. It’s very soft and feminine, reminding me of the smell of makeup. I see it as a day-to-day perfume in cold or mild weather, for someone with chic tastes (my partner says I smell like a posh twenty-something). Pretty, but not for me. Pleasant: 6/10 Interesting: 6/10 Versatile: 6/10 Original: 7/10

  • Ideal for cold climates or autumnal, at night. It’s a fragrance that does honour to its red box; it’s sexy. Powdery with a delicious vanilla base. I love it and it lasts me a long time; the next day I can still feel it. Ideal age range: 28 to 40.

  • verdepensativo

A perfume with dignity, leaving aside the innocence of Narciso Poudrée. Here we have a gentleman’s perfume, a gift that installs itself and says ‘here I am’. It’s powerful, overwhelming, and full of presence. It’s powdery, musky with a potent iris, rose, and tonka bean. It lasts an eternity and you feel it when walking, with its projection being medium but persistent. Approximate duration is about 6 to 8 hours.

  • cristina_hortelano

A gem. Very notable on my skin are the narcissus and the wood, a very powdery essence thanks to the musk. In its dry-down, I perceive the vanilla and tonka bean, which makes it sexy and elegant. I’d say it works in any season, although I’d avoid it on very hot days. Good longevity, moderate trail.

  • FlordeLis

I don’t know why, but I can’t handle Narciso in general. This one seems slightly floral, quite cloying and powdery (like makeup powder). The woods I almost have to imagine. It’s not that it smells bad, but it makes me quite dizzy.

  • Ugh, I can’t stand it. I bought it blindly and at first, it was love at first sight; I couldn’t stop sniffing it. But afterwards, just thinking about it gives me a headache. It smells very deep, and that vanilla is everywhere. It’s warm and makes me dizzy, haha. I think it’s terrible; it doesn’t just smell like vanilla, so don’t be fooled. At first, it smelled elegant, now it smells like supermarket lady’s cream. It’s quite enveloping, that’s the word. I truly don’t want to smell it again, ever, and what a pity because if I liked it, but I can’t 🙁

  • Sputnikan

Whether I wanted to or not, I compared Narciso Rouge with Dior Addict, holding both samples in hand. I absolutely adore Narciso Rouge: I love the soft musk, the powdery iris, and the creamy florals. The vanilla and tonka bean feel very clear. It’s a super powdery, sweet, and warm perfume. I like that Narciso perfumes always have a very human quality; I remember my grandmothers or aunts, whom I hug and feel their perfume and their warmth. It’s a perfume to feel hugged. It’s sweet and soft, but it has an impressive trail for what it is. My sister smelled it from across the room and said it smelled like warm cookies. I compared it with Dior Addict because for a moment I confused the roles and thought one was the other. But the crucial difference is the musk in Narciso Rouge, which softens the powdery vanilla of Addict and makes it much friendlier. I find points in its powdery and vanilla accord. It may seem contradictory, but Dior Addict seems more animalistic to me than this Narciso. It’s greener, rougher, and doesn’t give me the same calm as Narciso Rouge. This flanker is very ethereal, perfect for daily wear or to take to bed. It’s soothed, with floral notes, translucent powder, and sweet vanilla. On the skin, it lasts about 8 hours, and although it doesn’t project beastially like Dior, it has a considerable trail. Definitely, I want to get it in a large presentation, and it’s worth testing on the skin.

  • Elegant, sophisticated, talcum-based, feminine, nothing miserable. In my opinion it is a fragrance that only works for winter weather; I have to be very careful with the quantity and use few sprays. On me, the scent tends to intensify after an hour. The trail is medium, but on the skin it has high longevity; it lasts me 10 hours or more. If it’s true that if you apply a large amount it becomes cloying and intoxicating and could give the impression of an older lady’s perfume, I consider that if applied in a small quantity the perfume is delicious.

  • At a department store they told me they were going to discontinue it; I don’t know how true that is since I haven’t seen anyone else talking about it (?).

  • SeekerofHugs

Narciso Rodríguez isn’t for me, especially his For Her line; it just doesn’t suit me, too many flowers and above all musk, but his Narciso line (the cubes) I like a little more. I had never tried this perfume because Narciso and Narciso Poudre didn’t enthuse me. A few days ago I atomised it on a strip and… regular, but I put the paper in my bag. When I got home and tried it again, I thought ‘Wow, what a change, how nice it smells!’. Yesterday I tried it on skin, and the dry-down has me conquered. ‘Narciso Rouge’ has a sharp, sour and musky opening that I don’t like at all, but it evolves in a wonderful way. The rose (a note I don’t like) is noticeable, but not powerful or authoritative; I feel the Iris (one of my favourites) more, and its blend is intoxicating. The dry-down combines those notes with the sweetness of vanilla and tonka… creating a lovely, soft and creamy scent. I’d love for the musk to drop a bit so I could feel the woody base more, as it remains very hidden. As I say, the first hour doesn’t convince me, but the dry-down is so wonderful it’s worth the wait. It has that little lipstick touch that fascinates me so much! It’s chic, delicate, powdery, feminine and casual but with a sensual touch. Ideal for spring/autumn. My Castile and León winters don’t suit it. It seems potent at first but fades very quickly to skin level with an average duration of about 4 hours on me. Are they really pulling it? What bad luck. I always keep an eye on perfumes being discontinued. In that case, I would definitely get a bottle.

  • LosPerfumesDeJavi

Since I tried it, I’ve really liked it, but all the time I get the sensation of wearing deodorant instead of perfume, doesn’t that happen to you? It reminds me of Rexona deodorants, for example, a super pleasant scent, don’t get me wrong. It’s pure woody musk with a slight note of rose, a touch of sweetness from the tonka bean and very powdery from the iris. Powdery is the word I’d use to describe it. It has a very wide trail and a very good longevity. It’s one of those perfumes that makes you feel clean and that almost smells like cotton fabric softener. Very good and very likely to please everyone, that said, I agree with several reviews that say it ends up boring you very quickly. The bottle is very beautiful yet simple.

  • I’ve read thousands of reviews for this perfume, almost all positive, and unfortunately, the image I had of the scent had nothing to do with reality. To start, I will say it does contain the Narciso DNA that characterises the house and makes it, in my opinion, unique. However, beyond that, it distances itself quite a bit from the rest of the collection. This perfume is a floral bomb on my skin of rose and iris, and as you can imagine, it turns into an old-fashioned makeup scent, very, very powdery. Despite being listed only at the opening, on me those two notes are, by far, the most predominant throughout the entire evolution. The truth is, I was a bit shocked because I had heard this was a sexy, seductive perfume, so at some point in its evolution I expected a shift towards warmth and sensuality, especially considering those musk, cedar, sandalwood and tonka bean notes in the dry-down, which I usually love… what could possibly go wrong? But unfortunately, on my skin the scent didn’t evolve enough. Just flowers and more flowers over a musky and slightly sweet base. It’s a 100% feminine, clean, talcum/musky scent. Versatile. The truth is I don’t find it seductive, nor would I even wear it in the evening; it’s more for day or work. On the other hand, I find the performance inferior on my skin compared to most Narciso scents. It’s clearly an intimate perfume, with quite low projection even from the start and a duration that on my skin didn’t exceed six hours. It’s not a bad perfume, but I expected something else and it’s not for me. I was about to buy it blind several times and I’m very glad I didn’t. A pity, the truth is, I hope it behaves on my skin like it does on many of yours.

  • Dusty rose and creamy, with a strong base of powdery woods (very woody at the base) and subtle floral notes I can’t identify. Narciso is absolutely brilliant when it comes to roses and musk, but here there is cedar in the base which gives it a touch of makeup scent. The base lasts with excellent performance, far too good. Perhaps in excessively hot weather it might be too intense, but obviously I won’t know for now. Yes, it is worth it, and it is a well-constructed scent. Feminine with good longevity. It has a fashion week vibe and a lot of evening under the stars. If used in an office, university, for coffee with friends, or simply for a walk or the beach, I would recommend applying only a little behind the ears, on the inner wrist, and a subtle touch on the wrists, as it is a soft yet enveloping scent that shouldn’t be overused. Very good, I have liked this Narciso.

  • A super feminine fragrance; the scent I perceive most is like powder, exquisite. You notice it yourself, but others hardly notice it.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

Over time I learned to love this fragrance; that blend of iris and rose makes it very sensual. In my case, I don’t over-apply; three sprays are enough to complement my makeup. It is wonderful; I regret not giving it the credit it deserves.

  • Perfumepassion

Wow… Narciso Rodríguez surprises me more and more every day. I own For Her EDP and it is spectacular. Some time ago I gifted CYSTAL to my mum and it suits her so delicately… Today I picked up my NARCISO Rouge. Dusty rose, enveloping, woody. Everything is lovely.
