Good afternoon. To start, I use this fragrance so much that I can recommend it to everyone. It smells like a fresh forest with citrus touches and new wood. The longevity isn’t the best on the market, but for the quality-price ratio, it’s fair: 7.5. I recommend it for dates, night outings, or family gatherings. Notes: 9, dry-down: 8.5. Ideal if you’re looking for something with good quality-price for going out at night.
Update: I tried Oud Wood, Versace Oud Noir, and this one, and I’m 100% sticking with this. It’s perfectly balanced, simpler, and more pleasant. It’s very beautiful; Oud Wood is rich but the wood dominates and smells dry, while Oud Noir is even drier and cleaner. This HC5 is more pleasant, rich, and sensual. It’s still wood, but the added heat makes it special and attractive. The others are pleasant but very niche and specific; this is less risky.
I arrived looking for something different from sweet ouds or dense florals. It’s a very friendly oud that sits in the background. The citrus makes it versatile for fresh days. It has good sillage, projection, and longevity. The vanilla and vetiver base gives it a warm, nocturnal touch that dries down beautifully. It’s almost never heavy. Would I buy it again? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes, but smell it first.
I’ve had it for a month and see no change or maceration. It smells like a VIP vapourub, mentholated, and camphorated; I can’t find anything I like about the oud. Perhaps after half an hour it tends towards cedar, but generally, it’s very linear. I expected more, definitely.

Fresh, citrusy, and woody. It’s not overpowering, it’s powdery, versatile, and unisex. A bit elegant, soft, and agreeable; I’m sure everyone will like it. I think it’s for evening and cool or cold climates, though if it stays this way after macerating for a while, it could be for all year round. Note: a rich woody scent with that dark oud touch, similar to other Tom Ford inspirations. With oxidation, it maintains its freshness, ideal for under 20 degrees. It might seem dry or boring, but the balsamic note gives it a pleasurable essence for lovers of serious, ultra-woody fragrances. The citrus adds a lovely plus to the opening. It’s also excellent for layering; the best part is that, being noble with heat, it’s an all-rounder. Perfumes need to be left to oxidise so the notes settle; if they don’t perform well at first, they will later give you something decent. The resemblance to Tom Ford is slight, only in the dry-down do they match, but the TF is darker while this is brighter and fresher; they share that damp wood base. That’s why this HC5 is more versatile and palatable; I prefer it to the TF, which can be more challenging.

I recommend it for autumn, with medium longevity and leaning more masculine than unisex.
