Descripción
HC4 Amaderado Acqua by Perfumérica is an aromatic aquatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2020, this olfactory composition was created by perfumer José Alejandro Palafox Padilla. Its opening features bergamot, lemon, marine notes, grapefruit, pear, and apple, delivering a fresh and vibrant start. The heart reveals a herbaceous and floral bouquet with rosemary, lavender, and geranium. The trail settles on a warm and enveloping base of tonka bean, patchouli, labdanum, and woody notes.

The good: lasts all day at work. I applied it to the nape of my neck and it still lingered when I turned around, without causing olfactory fatigue. Although it’s labelled ‘wood aqua’, I barely detect any wood notes; it’s more of a sweet scent with a citrus touch, which is ideal for me as I can’t stand woody fragrances. The bad: it smells very similar to GO13 from Perfumérica. Holding both, I can’t tell them apart; perhaps this one is more citrusy and the Memo is sweeter, but the difference is almost imperceptible. It’s a drawback for the brand overall, as their perfumes smell very much alike, using common notes like bergamot. Another example: sea salt and bergamot smelled nearly identical. In short, a lovely scent and long-lasting, but the dry-down is very similar to other fragrances from the same house.
The good: longevity, it lasted the entire workday. Applied to the nape of my neck, the scent reached me when I turned without causing olfactory fatigue. Although it’s called ‘Madera Acqua’, I barely detect any woody notes; it’s more of a sweet treat with a citrus twist, perfect for me as I simply can’t stand woody scents. The bad: it smells very similar to the GO13 from the Ochoa collaboration; holding both, I can’t tell them apart. Perhaps this one is slightly more citrusy and the Memo one sweeter, but the difference is almost imperceptible. That’s a general issue with Perfumérica: their fragrances smell very similar because they use many common notes, such as bergamot. Another example: Sal de Mar and Bergamota smelled identical to me. In short, a lovely scent and lasting power, but the dry-down is very similar to the rest of the house.
A friend gifted me this perfume a few months ago; I wasn’t familiar with Perfumérica, but I think it ticks all three B’s (good, beautiful, cheap). The spray is generous and covers a good area. The bottle is simple and practical, though it feels a little low-quality; however, that doesn’t matter to me as the price should reflect the scent itself. Upon application, it opens with a slightly fresh note, a very soft touch of bergamot (without sharp acidity), evolving into a floral blend of lavender and wood. I’m not sure exactly what I’m smelling next, perhaps a hint of vanilla bean, but it’s not overpowering. It lasts around six hours, the aroma is fresh and not cloying, and it doesn’t smell synthetic or cheap. I use it in the mornings for the gym or outdoors; it smells clean and pleasant. I’d definitely buy it again when I run out and will try other offerings from the brand, as I believe they offer more than their cost suggests. Best wishes.
I was gifted this recently and, although I didn’t know the brand, it ticks all three B’s: good, beautiful and cheap. The spray is generous and lasts, the bottle is simple and practical; although it feels low quality, it doesn’t matter to me because the price should be in the perfume. Upon application, it has a slightly fresh opening with a very subtle touch of bergamot (no marked acidity), evolving into floral lavender and woody notes, perhaps with a touch of tonka bean sweetness that isn’t strong. It lasts about six hours. To my taste, it’s fresh, not cloying, not synthetic or cheap. I use it in the mornings for the gym or outdoor activities; it smells clean and good. I would buy it again when it runs out and try other proposals from the brand, as I believe they offer much more than they cost. Best wishes.
It’s a fresh, aquatic scent with a fruity touch. It doesn’t smell like soap, but at first it reminds me of classic blue fragrances from Versace or YSL, even some Invictus clones. Unfortunately, my nose doesn’t quite connect with that DNA. Still, it’s a good smell: the opening is rich, enjoyable and refreshing, though as it dries down it loses its sparkle and becomes sweet and warm, likely due to the tonka bean. It brings to mind Gucci Guilty or Armani Code, which on my skin smell like a stationery shop or foam; here I detect no citrus, but something aquatic and sweet. It’s clean and, compared to others, I tolerate it better on my skin. It feels more masculine and serious, especially compared to fruity aquatic scents. Ideal for semi-formal occasions, perfect for work in spring or summer; it smells like a man.
