  • Deliciously spiced, almost smoky vanilla, with a slight masculine touch, yet still very unisex. In its dry-down, it resembles Nishane Ani quite a bit, but here in Chile, it’s available at a third of the price of Ani, with a better quality-to-price ratio, as on my skin both last almost the same. If you’re an Ani fan, you might miss its citrus-herbal opening, but that lasts approx 15 minutes; afterwards, they’re very similar. So, this is another Montale that I’ve simply adored.

  • For me, it leans more towards masculine. It’s lots of wood and lots of sweet oud. It has excellent power and longevity. I love the leather note; it’s very realistic. The truth is that when I smell it, a picture of an elegant man comes to mind. The notes don’t declare anything smoky, but it smells to me of that wood smoke without smelling burnt. Very pretty.

An absolute gem that fell me in love with the niche world; it’s deep, dark, spicy and earthy, super sexy and unisex. It’s addictive: with my boyfriend we’re glued together, feeling the scent, which projects like a bomb and lasts until the next day. I’m waiting for the cold to use it properly, as in the heat it overpowers everything around it. My friends love it; one has already bought the bottle.

It’s an extraordinary perfume that fell me in love with the world of niche perfumery; I’d never felt anything like this before. It’s deep, dark, spicy, earthy, sweet, sexy and totally unisex. It’s addictive; my boyfriend and I love it; when we wear it, we’re glued together feeling the scent, which projects like a bomb and easily lasts until the next day. I hope autumn and winter arrive soon so I can use it properly, as on hot days, even at night, it overwhelms everything around me; I barely put on a spray. My friends who tried it loved it; one has already bought a bottle. A gem, and I’m not exaggerating.

  • It’s quite a manly perfume with exquisite wood, slightly powdery, and a soft, mystical sweetness in the background. It’s similar to Nomad-Bond but darker and more sensual. It’s niche, leaves oil on your hands (be careful with white clothes) and lasts all day. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something similar to Guerlain Homme Ideal or a touch of Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo.

It’s a niche perfume from cover to cover; it leaves an oil on your hands (do not use on white clothes) and lasts all day. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to smell similar to Guerlain Homme Ideal, with a touch of Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo.

  • Bibilalique

Well, yes, it smells of vanilla but mostly of leather. Like new shoes, forgive me for being so simple, but it reminds me of walking into a shoe shop, yes, very fine and elegant shoes. Dark Vanilla is elegant and seductive; I don’t see this with jeans. And while at first sniffing I’d say it’s for a gentleman, it’s so lovely that I definitely will wear it too.

Well, it smells of vanilla, but mostly of leather: like brand-new shoes from a fine, elegant shoe shop. Dark Vanilla is seductive and I don’t see it with jeans. At first I thought it was for men, but it’s so lovely that I’ll definitely wear it too.

  • This is a true beast. Only for those who enjoy overpowering and enveloping perfumes like myself. Excellent for winter nights. As the name suggests, it’s a deep and absolutely dark vanilla, with a quasi-narcotic effect. On skin, it lasts a century; on clothes, an eternity. That’s why I advise using it on an item you’ll wear again and wash afterwards. It doesn’t disappear from the same garment so easily.

  • Since I tried Dark Vanilla by Montale, I knew I’d found something special. It’s a work of art: the vanilla is captivating, but what hooks me are the deep notes of oud, leather and sandalwood. A wonderful and unparalleled fragrance.

  • Honestly, I believe this is one of Montale’s hidden gems that isn’t appreciated enough. I was searching for a dark vanilla and stumbled upon this marked leather note, which is simply incredible. It’s powerful, embracing, and in my opinion, mostly masculine, with an exquisite dry-down.

  • I bought it blind; at first the leather hit me so hard I stopped using it and didn’t see it as unisex. Then I tried it again and it was a treat: the leather fades and a sweet vanilla emerges without being cloying, creating an exquisite scent. Today it’s my favourite, even more than my signature Arabians Tonka. It smells of vanilla on clothes the next day, lasts like a bomb and projects a lot. I recommend applying it before going out so the leather settles, as the opening is strong. If you give it a chance, you’ll love it.

  • I bought it blind, and at first, the leather hit me so hard that I stopped wearing it for a while; I didn’t see it as unisex, only for an adult man. But when I returned to try it, it was a delight: the leather softened, that sweet vanilla emerged without being cloying, and they created something exquisite and totally unisex. Today, 27th December 2024, it’s my favourite (I like it more than my own signature, Arabians Tonka). I love how it smells on clothes the next day, a sweet and subtle vanilla. It’s a beast in terms of longevity and projection, a classic Montale. I recommend applying it before going out so the leather settles over the vanilla, as the initial burst is strong. If you get the chance, do it.
