Ambered sandalwood, soft and refined. Less intense than Santal 33, perfect for heat and occasions where you don’t want to overwhelm. It’s pleasant and easy to wear, but hard to justify the price as it doesn’t surprise or stand out.
No Byredo fragrance has ever excited me. I don’t understand the hype, the price, or anything else. Desert Dawn smells synthetic and linear, just like Zara Home. I only detect a very timid vetiver; the rest is a coarse, indistinguishable blend.
A special and complex fragrance, not for everyone, with a high cost and an uncommon character. It’s clean, white, and pure. It has no projection or sillage, but lasts long on the skin due to its oily nature. Very subtle notes of rose and wood. It’s best for close-range wear, so people don’t have to lean in and smell it three times without getting tired. Subtle and refined, just like a good video described it. If you love perfumes, it’s worth it. Now I understand why. A marvel. I discovered it thanks to a friend who recommended it to me and almost gifted it to me.
