  • To begin with, it has nothing to do with the One Million DNA (which I don’t like anyway). It is basically sweet vanilla and cinnamon, quite sweet but not cloying. The declared tobacco note is barely noticeable. It has a strong personality, makes an impression, and has normal to good longevity. It’s as if L’Homme Idéal Extreme and Stronger With You had a child: sweet, loud, ideal for cold weather and evenings.

  • Smells of cinnamon with a touch of sweetness. I don’t detect the tobacco. Medium longevity. Batch 2019. Given the current price after discontinuation, I would not recommend it. There are better options at half the price. It almost disappointed me.

  • A delicious fragrance. In my view, the best One Million and the most different. It conveys elegance and masculinity, ideal for cold nights with semi-formal attire. Better suited for those over thirty. Should you throw your life away to get it now that it is discontinued? No. Should you have paid €35 when it was still available? Most certainly yes.

  • If there is any fragrance I was heartbroken to see removed from the catalogue, it is this. A delight, the best in the line in my opinion. I have tried the original, cologne, Lucky, Parfum and Prive; I only own Prive and Lucky. Finding a backup for Prive has been a painful experience at a fair price; they want to sell it at a kidney price.

  • NandoHolgado

It breaks my heart not to have it. It was the first perfume I bought with my first salary. When I tried to buy more, it was already discontinued, and now I search everywhere but cannot find any. What a pity; it was simply brilliant.

  • The discontinuation of this beast is illogical. My father gifted it to me when I was a teenager, and I adored it for its caramelised finish. That blend of tobacco and mandarin was a bomb at parties, attracting immense attention. What a shame the new generation is missing out on a unique men’s fragrance. For me, it’s the best One Million they have ever created!

  • jackperfum

In my opinion, the best flanker, surpassing the original. It’s a bomb of cinnamon, tobacco and tonka bean. It smells sexy, charming, dark and nocturnal, perfect for dates or parties. It reminds me of Bulgari’s Men in Black due to the tobacco and cinnamon, but it is sweeter and longer-lasting. What a pity they discontinued it; it’s the only one in the line worth buying. If you find it sealed, buy it without hesitation; if you don’t like it, they will sell it back to you at a golden price.

Very few fragrances give me a headache, and this is one of them. My sister bought it for me at Duty Free, mistakenly thinking I wanted ‘Prive’. I tested it in intense cold and found it repulsive, so I gifted it to my father-in-law. Interestingly, it reminded me of Layton Parfum, which is refined and balanced, whereas this smells rule-breaking, unmeasured and aggressive. It projects massively, is sweet and oppressive. I would only recommend it if the temperature is below five degrees.

  • Críticodeperfumes

It’s not bad, but certainly not my favourite. The mandarin, cinnamon and tobacco notes stand out, though the scent remains unchanged throughout. The trail is moderate and lasts around six hours. I prefer other flankers like Lucky or Elixir, which offer more punch and longevity.

  • andreguilera

Powerful and long-lasting, yet it smells very feminine and lacks versatility. Best reserved for cold weather and evening wear, otherwise it becomes overwhelming.

  • A rich scent that hits the spot. Ideal for dates and closeness, but not as an all-night club fragrance because the projection is quite short. It reminded me a bit of Man in Black by Bvlgari.

  • LosPerfumesDeJavi

1 Million Privé is very masculine, nothing like the traditional version which is more for teenagers. This one is more mature, refined and elegant. It was my partner’s Christmas present in 2019. I was head over heels for the cinnamon and tobacco. I don’t usually like tobacco in fragrances, but this smells wonderful and is unique. Elegant, sexy and sweet. Irresistible. It reminds me of The One by D&G but it’s far superior. Now the longevity is moderate, no more than 6 hours, and the trail is soft. The bottle is gorgeous. I couldn’t finish the bottle because I ended up hating it; the tobacco became too much and I eventually used it as a room freshener. I always say that the 1 Million scents look prettiest in 100ml because they are streamlined and look like gold bars, although they are more copper in colour.

  • Mizuki_San19

This perfume has nothing to do with any other 1 Million. The tobacco and leather make it perfect for parties and night events. It’s a shame it has been discontinued 🙁

  • molletmod.73

El Privé is my favourite in the collection, unfortunately discontinued back in 2023. Watch out: if you hunt for it, you might find some, but brace yourself for the price tag. That’s the nature of nostalgic fetishism and speculation. Of the original, only a faint hint of apple, spices and sweetness remains. It’s an amber blend of cinnamon, tobacco, tonka bean, myrrh and patchouli. Puig doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but they do it brilliantly and people love it; hence its popularity. Haters or jealous ones, get over it. It’s an adult scent for 25-30+, perfect for intimate dates. For going out to conquer the night in pubs or clubs and compete, I recommend the classic EDT (though reformulated, it lasts 7-8 hours), the Parfum or the Elixir. They say it resembles the niche Oajan by PdM or Angels’ Share by Kylian. I haven’t smelled the PdM one, and the Kylian one leaves me gagging. Comparisons and those pretentious hype-beasts spending 250-300 euros make me break out in a sweat because I’ve already smelled it. Imagine an impossible blend of Azzaro Wanted by Night, the first batches of CH Men, and 20% of the original EDT. Some claim it’s like Mercedes-Benz Club Black, but I don’t detect that. Nowadays, perfumers work miracles with computers. I’d wear it in the late afternoon or evening, all year round except summer when it’s above 28-30°C. It’s made to be enjoyed with style, without looking like a wanky, greasy-haired, lecherous idiot. It lasts 6 hours without issues, just enough to charm without being overpowering. It projects beautifully for the first two hours without giving anyone a headache. Simply brilliant.

The best in the saga by far. I’m not an expert, but this fragrance delivers chocolate. Elegant, captivating, inviting and provocative. Excellent projection and longevity. Perhaps it doesn’t last quite as long as a Fleur du Male, but if you’re looking for dates or semi-formal meetings, this is it. They discontinued it last year, so you’ll need to hunt for it if you don’t already own it. Good projection all the time and over 8 hours of wear. The best 1M, without a doubt.

  • Jorge karpiuk

Found it where least expected. Ideal for cold weather and people over 30. Potent opening of cinnamon and mandarin that explodes into sweet, pleasant tobacco. It completely escapes the DNA of the original 1 Million. It’s a gem!

  • What stands out most is the quality of the ingredients. Being a designer fragrance, you can tell. While other homages have lost their appeal, this one still delivers the quality that makes it stand out.

  • Críticodeperfumes

Smells good, but the hype is overblown. Opens with strong mandarin that settles into cinnamon and sweet tobacco, nothing heavy. It’s decent, but lacks projection and longevity (around 4-5 hours). For me, it does the job, but isn’t top tier. There are other One Million versions that smell better and last longer; this one is quite soft.

  • One of the richest perfumes I’ve ever tried. Out of all the OM variants, this one surpasses the rest. If you like D&G The One, you’ll love it. Discontinued, but I hope they bring something similar back. Incredible projection, but the scent is the only thing that lingers.

  • Orlandoperfumesman

Neither fish nor fowl. The opening is a timid stream of cinnamon with a hidden bitter patchuli. Second disappointment from Puig: it doesn’t project or make itself felt. I paid too much; I should have looked elsewhere. We let ourselves be carried away by the hype. Perhaps a collector will buy it for me to store. What a rip-off and a letdown. 2019 batch, gold box.

  • becker32

It has brought me the biggest compliments of my life. I don’t detect the mandarin, but rather a fresh green apple with cinnamon. It sounds simple, but everyone around me loves it. The longevity and projection are a bit weak.

  • Rafaga78909

The 2016 batch lasts a long time. Without a doubt, it’s the best flanker in the line, although the original is the best-seller. The best of them all.

  • What a pity it’s no longer in production; it’s the best of the best and undoubtedly the king of the One Million series.

  • I picked this up second-hand so it must be well-macerated. The opening is odd, but once it dries down it’s rich, reminiscent of Spicebomb Extreme or Azzaro Wanted by Night. My opinion, I’m not an expert.

  • 1 Million Original catches women’s attention, but it isn’t super masculine; the spiced version is, ideal for mature men, not teenagers.

  • Perfumería el Kami

One of my favourites, a delicious scent I don’t want to run out of; it keeps me hooked from the moment I smell it, pure Paco Rabanne quality.

  • I don’t know about you, but I associate this scent with Le Male Elixir by JPG, but a bit more subtle and not quite so scandalous.

  • molletmod.73

My favourite from the Million saga by Puig-Rabanne. In this OM Privé flanker, they added tobacco, patchouli, and habanona to the sweet, fruity, and cinnamon-like synthetic of classic One Million, things that made it more mature, masculine, and less ‘commercial’, less addictive, less tasty, less of the mass appeal that other perfumes in the range have. Bear with me, don’t misunderstand me, less ‘commercial’ without being weird, niche, or challenging. This is 100% Rabanne-Puig. Naturally, that scent took it away from the youthful taste accustomed to everything prior, that massive youth destruction weapon of the saga. It wasn’t well understood by the traditional Rabanne clientele. Consequently, it sold little, didn’t meet economic expectations, and the Puig-Rabanne house decided to withdraw it, perhaps unintentionally turning it into a ‘nostalgic treasure’ for many snobs and opportunists seeking discontinued rarities. A bottle that once filled with dust in perfumeries and cost 60-65 euros for 100ml, today doesn’t drop below 130-150 quid on the grey market. Don’t worry, the world doesn’t end; if you like OM Privé, there are current perfumes in the same line or quite similar. Performance in the OM line: quite good without being excessive. It gives you your 7-8 hours without a problem, although regarding the trail, on my skin, it’s less than other perfumes in the range. This with heat over 27°C is maddening. Better to use it in winter, autumn, and fresh spring, in the late afternoon or night. Although it’s not very elegant, I don’t see it for wearing tracksuits or with Bermuda shorts and flip-flops to the supermarket or walking the dog. What about premium pick-up aroma in the club or for showing off to girls? Well, what do you want me to say. I’ve picked up more with the classic OM. In my modest 50 years of experience, girls, except in exceptional cases, don’t like the niche, weird, or very ‘dark’ stuff, potent tobacco, leather, petrol, incense, smoke, spirits, rare resins, spices, etc. It smells to them like a bad habit, old, or a scruffy abandoned man; you don’t give off a good vibe and they pass you by. If it doesn’t matter to you. Then go ahead, as that saying would go.

  • Salvador Sandoval Luna

The best of the whole saga so far. It was totally different; that tobacco note made it stand out in the cold, rain, or night. It’s wonderful. Pity it’s discontinued; I look after mine like gold.

  • marcelo0908

It will always hurt that they took it off. As always, Paco Rabanne stops making its best perfumes and only sells the mediocre ones.

  • Migueep15

Personally, I don’t like it, but it’s a different scent and VERY masculine in my opinion. It feels too mature, not old, and very special, not for everyone, although it’s already discontinued.

  • A curious perfume, curious, curious, because it doesn’t carry apple… but to me, it smells like sweet apple with cinnamon. It has a very sophisticated bitter touch; the tobacco and patchouli are well below, almost unnoticeable. Looking at the notes, it seems heavier than it is. It has nothing to do with the rest of the range, it goes completely off the line.

  • metroidsoldier

Very elegant, lasts all day and delivers on everything. I adopted it after seeing an advert on the telly. Its scent is almost identical to the original, but with an oriental twist, strong and woody.

  • It never took to me; the only time I tried it, it was too intense. Very sweet and spiced, a resounding NO. Nothing like the DNA of One Million. 5/10.

  • jausmaniac

The first thing that comes to mind is Angels Share. If you’re looking for something similar but more affordable right now, Zara’s Sand Desert at Sunset is the option.
