Fruity oud, though the oud smells synthetic, it’s pleasant and doesn’t dominate; the blackcurrant and citrus top notes make it rich and fun. It’s for going out and turning heads, similar to Hacivat. The strong oud reveals spices and a fresh, heavy balsamic in the background that accompanies it very well; the base is quite striking. The overall effect is eye-catching and will certainly earn compliments. It could be a Montale but with better note quality, which is a relief, as these ‘sniff-me’ perfumes with synthetic notes pretending to be natural rarely succeed. One thing that pleasantly surprised me is that it’s from 2013; I consider it ahead of its time, it could have easily launched last month. If we analyse strictly, at 4.98€/ml, it’s simple with standard quality, more striking than elegant. Scent: 7.5, Projection: 7.4, Longevity: 7.9, Originality: 6.9, Price: 249€ (50ml, easy to find on discount). Recommended: Medium-High.
